Danielle enters the room where Rod and Julian are watching football. She is getting ready to run a few errands.
Rod does a low whistle as Danielle walks into the room.
"Oh please stop. I'm starting to feel like the Goodyear blimp." (Danielle)
"And how do you know what a Goodyear blimp feels like?" (Rod)
"Ha, ha. Aren't you the funny one, today?" (Danielle)
"Who's winning?" (Danielle)
"This game just started. No one has scored yet." (Rod)
"So where are you headed?" (Rod)
"I have to go get a few groceries, and if I still have energy, I might stop by the baby store." (Danielle)
"Your new favorite store." (Rod)
"I can't help it. Every thing in that store is just so adorable." (Danielle)
"Jacob is still sleeping. Try to make sure he is up within a half an hour, or he will be up all night." (Danielle)
"The next time he is up all night, I think we should put him in the playroom and come back for him in the morning." (Rod)
"He would love that, but I think that is bordering on child neglect." (Danielle)
"You be good while I'm gone." (Danielle)
"I'm always good, Mommy." (Julian)
"You are good most of the time. Now give me a goodbye hug." (Danielle)
"Oh come on! Hold on to the ball, What an idiot." (Rod to the tv)
"You give the best hugs." (Danielle)
"Hey, that's my wife you're hugging." (Rod)
"Quiet, Daddy. Stop interrupting our hug." (Danielle)
"Alright. Alright. That's enough. " (Rod)
"Help me, Mommy." (Julian)
"She can't help you." (Rod)
"Ouch!" (Danielle)
"Are you okay? What happened?" (Rod)
"Oh I'm fine. The baby just decided to kick me." (Danielle)
"The baby is kicking you? How can a baby kick you?" (Julian)
"The baby has two feet just like us," (Danielle)
"How did the baby get in there and how is it going to get out?" (Julian)
Danielle immediately thinks, here we go again with this question. She never got around to explaining the birds and the bees to Julian. He hadn't asked in a couple of months, and she never brought it up.
"God put the baby in there, and He and your mom will work together to get the baby out." (Rod)
Danielle is happy Rod came to the rescue. She knows Julian will have more questions, so she decides it's time to go. She gives them both kisses and heads out.
"Be careful out there." (Rod)
"I will." (Danielle)
I love her outfit. Ms. Vanessa I don't even know where to begin doing my blog. When I get time this weekend I will start writing my story line and email it to you to see what you think.
ReplyDeleteAngelia - Thanks. That was my first attempt at making her a maternity dress. She said it was comfortable, so we were both happy. Just start your blog. It will take shape as time goes on. When I started, my blog was a lot different than it is today.
DeleteI like how she's cradling her belly in all the photos. Nice detail!
ReplyDeleteMuff - Thanks! She and that baby are growing leaps and bounds.
DeleteI love this couple! :-). Sweet photostory. Danielle made her exit at the perfect time.
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Girl - I can't wait to get back to your other favorite couple. They have been giving me stink eye, wondering when I'm going to feature them again.
DeleteCute story. Poor Julian is going to be shocked when he finally found out the truth. But my parents told me the truth when I was 6 and I still didn't quite get it. Maybe he'll find it funny later. How is the baby's room coming along?
ReplyDeleteJanainah - I'm 48 and I'm still waiting for my parents to have the talk with me. LOL! It never happened. Oh wait, it went a little something like this..."Don't bring no baby in this house." The rest I had to figure out on my own. The baby room is coming along like everything else....slowly. She had her heart set on the perfect wallpaper, and she hasn't been able to find it. So back to the drawing board.
DeleteHello from Spain: this couple is lovely. Great pics. I like very much their outfits. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Thanks. It is my first official maternity dress.
DeleteGood thing Rod can think fast on his feet! The telling where babies come from is always difficult. When my eldest was 3, she announced to me that she knew where babies came from. I sort of grimaced and asked to the tell me what she knew. She said, "Some come from mommy's tummies and some come from China." She paused for a minute and then said, "When I have babies, they are coming from China -- no way am I gonna get a baby in my tummy!" What's funny is now that she is a young adult, she says if she does ever decide to become a parent, they will still come from China!
ReplyDeletePhyllis - Awww, what a cute story. I don't blame her. Having stepkids were perfect for me. My body didn't have to go through any major changes.

ReplyDeleteJaiden - Yes, I'm pretty sure Danielle will give birth this year. I'm predicting in 2 - 3 months.
DeleteLove the interactions - and that sofa!
ReplyDeletejSarie - Thanks. That sofa is huge, but that is what the client wanted.
DeleteI love how you make the settings so "lived in." You did a mighty fine job with that maternity dress. It's totally believable. In fact, it had me wondering when Danielle will be delivering! P.S. I know what you mean about the "Don't bring no babies into this house" remark. Heard it until I graduated college!
ReplyDeleteapril - Thanks. I'm looking forward to making some chic maternity dresses. This one was made with comfort in mind. Lol about the babies.
DeleteOoohh the hug moment was the CUTEST! How can you make everything look and sound so realistic?
ReplyDeletemonstercrafts - Thanks. Nothing like a good hug. I try to bring life experiences to the stories. Sometimes it is the little things about life that I enjoy the most.
DeleteHer outfit is so cute x could u do one where she goes into the baby store and buys some baby clothes xx does she know what she's having? X
ReplyDeleteSylvanians - I plan to do a story with her at the baby store. I just have to put the store back together. I know what she's having, but she doesn't. She and Rod are thinking about waiting until the birth.
DeleteI think that's a cute idea ☺️
DeleteAlso I think u should show her wate breaking 😊😊
ReplyDeleteSylvanians - The water breaking idea is a good one. I will see what I can do.
DeleteLove them! Love her maternity outfit too.
ReplyDeleteKenya - Let me know if you need me to make you some maternity dresses. Lol!
