Van's Doll Treasures primarily features Barbie and other fashion dolls her size. I make and sell 1/6 scale doll furniture for Barbie and Ken. The link to my Etsy shop is available on the right hand side. I prepare dioramas and videos that feature my doll families.
This came out really nice, Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteJanainah - Thanks. Feels good to get a second one done. Motivates me to continue on and do more.
DeleteGreat job! That color looks gorgeous on her. :)
ReplyDeleteFarrah - Thanks! Doesn't she look great in hot pink.
DeleteYou did a very nice job! Love that color on her and it looks great with those shorts!
ReplyDeletePhyllis - Thanks! I see her walking along a boardwalk at the beach somewhere. Now I need to crochet her a nice beach bag.
DeleteLove this outfit!
ReplyDeleteAG Lanc - Thanks! It's her first official summery outfit.
DeleteLooks like a sellable item to me!
ReplyDeleteMuff - This piece is done well enough to sell, unlike the first piece. And it didn't take me long to do it....and it gives me something fun to do every week that I'm sitting at the doctor's office. We will see.
DeleteI Love it, Hi Mrs Dasia.... :)
ReplyDeleteLadonna - Thanks. Dasia says, "Heyyyy."
DeleteIt is a colour that really suits her and it does look good. There are going to be a lot of other jealous dolls at your place.
ReplyDeleteCarricters - Who knew hot pink was her color? Although the Barbies don't get custom pieces, they will get crocheted pieces. There will be a few more smiles. The beauty of crocheting and knitting is you can do it anywhere, unlike sewing.
DeleteHi Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece and great job! A little tip - when making doll clothes, it's better to use fine (2), or extra fine (1) yarn. Anything heavier tends to make the piece too bulky. Crochet thread (10) is good to use, but it's a pain in the butt. :-)
Cindi - Thanks. My first piece was done with #10 crochet thread. I actually enjoy using that size. I bought about 6 size #10 and two size #8. I intentionally picked this slightly larger size for Dasia.
DeleteI think it looks nice, specially considering that this is your second piece!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
monstercrafts - Thanks! I want to do some hats and bags soon.
DeleteGreat job, Vanessa! I think you can master just about anything you put your mind to doing.

DBG - Thanks so much. I think we can all master just about anything we put our minds to. We just have to believe and do the work to make it happen.
DeleteSweet. My great grandmother used to crochet outfits for my Barbies and she could whip it it up so quickly! I wish I had pictures.
ReplyDeleteKenya - I wish you had pictures, too. I would love to see them.
