My new entrepreneur Barbie got a body swap today with one of my Artsy bodies. Unfortunately, this body is too light, so I plan to swap her to either a Kenya fully articulated body, or one of the gymnast bodies.
Meet the Morgans. Dad is a professor at the local college. Kerry Morgan, is a school guidance counselor. They are parents to Amber Nicole, their 7 yr old. Professor Morgan also has a daughter Christine with his ex-wife, Cassandra, the daycare owner.
"Honey, Amber and I are going to the Hello Kitty restaurant for dinner. Care to join us?" (Kerry)
"I promised to take Christina driving today. Maybe I will have her drive us there so we can have dinner with you guys." (Professor)
"Ooh Mommy, we're going to Hello Kittys. That's my favorite place to eat." (Amber)
"I know. I figured I would treat you since you got such a great progress report." (Kerry)
I've been bombarded with requests from my YouTube followers for a new video. The last video I posted was back in Nov 2013. So I decided to update them on Kendra's new baby. Most of you have seen the pictures from this video, but here it is to music.
Now that I see her outside of the box, she is BEAUTIFUL! :))))
ReplyDeleteKenyaDoll - I really like her look. You were right about her original body. It was horrible. It was more on the quality of one of the dollar store clones. No click bend knees. What are they thinking. There's no way a kid can really play with these dolls.
DeleteI guess Mattel is trying to save money. This economy is still shot. :(
DeleteShe is so gorgeous. She's looks a little like Gabrielle Union. I love the mini American Girl doll Nicole. Nicole really took her looks after her father!
I have to second KenyaDoll on this: Amber Nicole sure looks a lot like her dad.
DeleteThat's pretty clever of the AG manufacturers to scale their mini dolls to fit in with playscale dolls. I'll have to check them out ;-)
Thanks for sharing your new AG and the new entrepreneur Barbie. The latter has a stunning face paint.
D7ana - I concur. Amber looks like her dad. It's nice to have a different sized kid that fits in with the playscale dolls. I lucked out finding something for her to wear. It wasn't easy. Putting them in more modern clothes helps them fit in even better.
DeleteIs that like a mini American Girl doll? She's pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to revisit Kendra and the baby.
Muff - Yes that's a mini American Girl doll. I bought her and the Asian one from Walmart.com. They are cheaper there than at the store.
DeleteI'm wondering the same thing Muff is. If she an AG mini then maybe i can use the two i got for doll families instead of for show
ReplyDeleteLeandra - Yes, that's an AG mini. I got the idea to use them for families from Lisa over at Pumpkin Hill Studios. When I saw the Asian one on her site, I just had to have her. Saw this one and added her as well.
DeleteMay i have a link to her site? I was thinking about getting ivy last year but i thought they were going to retire molly and emily
DeleteLeandra - Here is a link to one of her post with AG minis. http://pumpkinhillstudios.blogspot.com/2012/04/catching-up.html
DeleteI think she has a second blog where I saw the Asian mini. You may want to send her a message and get that link. I can't find it.
Hola, seria bueno que todas las garbie fueran articuladas.
ReplyDeleteBonitas fotos y video.
Hasta pronto.
lindaivette - Sería increíble si todos fueron articuladas. Yo no creo que eso suceda, pero podemos soñar.
Deletei love you so much and i liked your new video it was so cool and real and the morgans are a perfect family plz make more video of them bye..........
ReplyDeleteRuby - Thanks. I will try to make another video next month.
DeleteHello from Spain: lovely family. I like Professor Morgan. I love your mini American Girl. Great video. I remember that time baby. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Thanks. Glad the video brought back baby memories.
DeleteHey!!
ReplyDeleteLovely family!!I'm a fan of Artsy and guess you have a nice version of her.Mr.Morgan is awesome, too!I think you make great choices for your action figures, guys!! <3
Jorge - Hola! I can only imagine what great things you could do with this Artsy. I just love that she has a deeper color than the other Artsy dolls. I really lucked up last year at a doll show. I found a lot of nice action figures that fit well in my town.
DeleteNice looking family. Amber Nicole is adorable! :-)
ReplyDeleteCindi - Thanks. It's nice to have a different sized kid like Amber.
Deletei think it is cute that you used a mini american girl doll:)
ReplyDeletetoastandcheesedollies - Thanks. I like that she is different than the other kids.
DeleteNice family, I love them!! :)
ReplyDeleteAna - Thanks.
DeleteAmber is so cute!
ReplyDeleteBrini - Thanks. I think Amber fits in quite nicely.
DeleteAmber Nicole, is it a little American Girl ???
ReplyDeleteShasarignis - Yes, Amber is a mini American doll. I also have the Asian mini doll.
DeleteI love this little doll with her chubby body! Her hair is perfection! I a women with a gap, I love her gap-tooth smile also. You are right, it nice to see kids in different size bodies! What is her pose-ability like? What is her range of motion? She looks good with her family
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - The mini American girl dolls have stuffed cloth bodies. She can sit and stand. She's not articulated, but the soft body allows for movement.
DeleteWho knew the mini AG would work well in playscale world. Great idea. Someone had them on sale recently for $12.00.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video and the music.
dbg
DBG - I saw the mini AGs on LIsa Neault's blog. I like having the different body size. $12, that's a great deal. I have the Asian one. I wouldn't mind adding one more to the bunch.
DeleteWow you didn't waste anytime putting the Morgan's together. Kerry looks nice. I don't remember if you said in the other post is she was going to be a guidance counselor - but good choice. Loved the video. I didn't remember the hospital pickup pictures. Cute!
ReplyDeleteKenya - Yes, Kerry's going to be a guidance counselor. I loved my high school counselor. She was integral in me getting lots of scholarships for college. It was fun doing another video.
