I just finished the white crib for a customer. She requested two crib sets, one of which is Winnie-the-Pooh. So one of my babies got a Winnie-the-Pooh nursery so we could take proper pictures of the crib.
Michelle is partially dressed and getting ready to go meet her husband for dinner. Her sister, Natalia, is there to babysit. Michelle is taking time to put Chloe to bed.
"Are you tired now? Is mommy's angel ready to go beddy bye?" (Michelle)
{gurgling baby sounds that are turning into a whine}
"Alright. Alright. Let's get you out of there." (Michelle)
"There you go. Come to momma." (Michelle)
Michelle grabs a blanket off the shelf.
Michelle starts singing a lullabye to Chloe. Chloe is all smiles. She loves the sound of her mother's voice.
Natalia enters the room with Mikayla on her back.
"Shouldn't you be leaving now? I can put her down, if you want." (Natalia)
"No. I still have a little time. I don't have to be there for another hour, and it's right downtown." (Michelle)
"In that case, I'll go ahead and give Mikayla her bath now." (Natalia)
"How did she do with her dinner?" (Michelle)
"Half of it ended up on the floor." (Natalia)
"Mikayla!" (Michelle)
"Make sure she gets one of those fruit cups later. She's going through a picky eater stage and I'm concerned she's not getting enough to eat." (Michelle)
"Okay. Well we're off." (Natalia)
"Giddy up horsey." (Mikayla)
"Well now you're going a little too far." (Natalia)
Mikayla starts laughing hysterically.
Michelle gets back to the task at hand. She starts by feeding Chloe.
Next is burping.
And finally it's time for bed.
"Nighty night angel. I love you." (Michelle)
Lights out.
It won't take long before Chloe is fast asleep.
Below are two other crib sets I made. I wanted to show how they look in the white crib versus the stained crib.
Love love these cribs...you are so good at what you do! Oh, I've told you this before, huh? I can't help it, it is so true...Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Loretta & James
Loretta - It's soooo nice to hear from you. I always worry about you two. Thanks for the compliments. Being creative makes me happy.
DeleteAwww, this is precious! ^o^
ReplyDeleteKenyaDoll - Thanks!
DeleteBeautiful work. It looks very professional!
ReplyDeleteAG Lanc - Thanks! No, I didn't make that baby. I bought her from ebay. I haven't had time to finish my babies.
DeleteIs that one of the babies you made?
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable children ... and OMG, that is a cunning, adorable bedroom. Love the Pooh theme. Chloe looks especially cute - did you repaint her? I know ... nosy, nosy ;-P
ReplyDeleteD7ana - Thanks. You can't go wrong with Pooh. I bought Chloe from ebay. I'm still trying to find time to finish my clay babies.
DeleteQue bonitas cunas, que buen trabajo has hecho. Cuidate mucho.
ReplyDeletelindaivette - Gracias. Me encanta todo lo relacionado con los bebés. Quiero diseñar aún más cunas.
DeleteI thought I liked the stained set the best...until I saw the white one. LOL
ReplyDeleteGrandmommy - That's why I wanted to show it in the white. It has a much different feel to it. Very light and airy.
DeleteGrandmommy - And just think I have you and the stranger to thank for getting me to those woodworking classes!
DeleteThis room, this story, these photos - everything is just so freakin' wonderful! You really rock.
ReplyDeleteMuff - Thanks! I never took you as one to enjoy the babies. lol.
DeleteVery sweet!
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - Thanks!
DeleteThe cribs are beautiful and very well made. You should try a Peter Rabiit theme too (it's the one of my real nursery :) )
ReplyDeleteV - Thanks. I'm always on the lookout for perfectly scaled theme fabric, but it's hard to come by. I haven't seen any Peter the Rabbit fabric, but I will keep my eyes open.
DeleteAbsolutely awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteHeather - Thanks!
DeleteI love the cribs and the crib sets! I see you've been busy making babies, too. No pun intended. Maybe I missed a post or two where the baby was featured, but this is my first time seeing Chloe. Great job (as usual).

DBG - First let me say, I didn't make that baby. I bought that one one Ebay a couple years ago. I asked the seller back then if she could make some AA ones. She tried, but couldn't get it right. That's why I've set out to make myself a few AA babies. You know I don't have time to be making no babies. Real or fake. Chloe has made a few stories before.
DeleteThanks for the crib compliments. The buyer has wondered about a matching changing table. Back to the drawing board to design a changing table.
LOL @ no time to be making no babies.
DeleteYes you do. You have time to create everything else under the sun. I can visualize the changing table that you're planning to make next.

Hello from Spain: this room is very real baby. I really like your white crib. Great job. All accessories are perfect. I really like your outfits and photos. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - I tried to make it as real as possible. I love baby stuff in doll life and real life.
DeleteHi Vanessa! I loved the story, your cribs, and bedding. Like you, I love baby stuff. I have since my teenage years. I found myself in TJMaxx today looking at the most adorable baby shoes. I couldn't figure out who I could buy them for so sadly they stayed at the store! Anyway, just wanted to say awesome, awesome, awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteveda - Thanks. I won't tell you how many real baby clothes are here in my house. When I made lifesize porcelain dolls, I had an excuse for buying cute baby stuff. I just sent my stepdaughter, who's expecting a little boy this month, about 30 baby outfits. Most of them new that had been hanging up for the past 10 yrs. LOL!
DeleteThat tender scene! I love the crib, and I have crazy crib clothes!
ReplyDeleteFarbield - Thanks! I won't even ask why you have crazy crib clothes.
DeleteGran trabajo es una escena llena de encanto, fabulosa.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
Yolanda
Yolanda - ¡Gracias! Como usted puede decir probablemente, me encantan los bebés. Gracias por pasar y comentar.
DeleteAmazingly beautiful. And so creative.
ReplyDeleteI love this room and the new crib set!! The baby is super cute!!!
ReplyDeleteRosemary Hill - Thanks! I love when I can do a post about a baby or babies. So much joy.
DeleteHey Vanessa! Just looking at pictures and it is really amazing how talented you are! Absolutely love the details everything is soooo perfect! Now I need more stories!!! Every morning I get to work the first thing I do is check your blog ... no new stories really effects my customer service abilities lol serious please overpost! Oh and I think it would be awesome to nick name Racquel Rocki why you ask idk I think its because besides Danielle she's my fav.
ReplyDeletebe blessed :)
Vernette - You are too funny! Oh the pressure. Now I'm going to feel horrible thinking your poor customers are not getting your best service. LOL! The doll stories are a little slow because I'm trying to spend a little time fixing up the new town. I keep pushing things to the side so I can do stories, then I have another big mess and no time to straighten it up. I promise I will get something up today.
DeleteAs for the nickname... Do you know how hard it is keeping track of all the dolls I have. Now you want to add nicknames. I don't think so. ROFL!
Lol nick names ha ha sometimes you don't realize a bad idea until someone repeats it back to you. Nick names what was I thinking... So patiently waiting on stories always worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteNice decor.please check out my new photo story
ReplyDeleteSarah - Thanks. I just left a message on your newest story. Sorry I've missed so much. I need to add your blog to my list.
DeleteI don't know how you manage to do all of this and create such beautiful stories too. Love the cribs and the room. I have been trying to get my blog up and moving, but since I have run out of room upstairs, I am moving my doll stuff to the finished basement. I have a lot of things I need to move around and clean us down there though. I will probably start by introducing my main characters. I will be having surgery on the 28th, so probably won't do any moving of things until after that.
ReplyDeletePhyllis - Let's just say I have some really long days and nights working to get it all done. I've been selling my pens on the side, too. I'm trying to do more of that. There's a larger market for the pens. Your basement situation sounds very similar to mine. I just wish I could hire someone to come and get it all done, but they wouldn't know what to do with my extra doll stuff, either. Good luck, and I hope your surgery goes well! Let me know when you start blogging again, just in case I miss it.
DeleteBeautifully decorated room. You made the crib!? Wow - and all the little beddings? Love it.
ReplyDeleteKenya - Thanks! Yes, I made the crib and all the beddings.
