That's exactly what I thought of yesterday when this cast of characters emerged. As I mentioned yesterday, I organized my dolls into groups. These are the "Elites". They are the high rolloers. In this group you will find the lawyers, the doctors, hotel managers, business owners, etc. If they don't own summer homes, they have friends that own summer homes. They are not necessarily friends and they don't travel in the same circles, but they shop in the same types of stores and eat at same types of restaurants, so it's not unusual to run into one another.
There is one person missing from this group. That would be Melanie, Roderick's ex-wife. She fought hard to get into this group and lost her husband in the process. Just as well, could you see Roderick fitting in with this group? Me neither. Currently Melanie is hanging out with the "Single Mothers" group. As you will see, most dolls will fit in multiple groups, or they have family in the other groups.
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!! You can just see the different personalities in the Elites. I love it, I love everything you do!! Because of you my doll families have grown.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Thanks!!! I am glad to be of help. My doll families have grown, too. LOL. Thanks for commenting too. I know sometimes the system makes it a little difficult. At the end of your comments, if you like, you can just type your name, unless you truly want to remain anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED DYNASTY..can't you tell..LOL. I have a caste system for my dolls too. We go from the very rich to the poor. Love the Elite's :O)
ReplyDeleteDooz4Moi - I didn't watch a lot of Dynasty. I was more of a Dallas girl. But I do remember the Carringtons. I don't have any poor people, unless you count my 20 something year olds that aren't established yet. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI was addicted to all the nighttime soaps. I watched Dallas , Dynasty, Falcon Crest, & Knots Landing. I watched them all until the end..
ReplyDeleteUh oh, who shot JR? LOL. Aww...back in the day when day & night soaps were GOOD.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo! Your furniture and props are so elegant...I've still got a lot of Barbie pink to get rid of but hopefully soon as per past blogs, I will try to get out to some of my local thrift stores hoping to find some cool treasures. :)
Great photo. Have to start organizing my dolls to get my families together.
ReplyDeleteTracy - They are sitting in the unfinished living room of Darius' condo.
ReplyDeleteFrannie - Thanks. Wow, I just thought about all of your dolls and got really frightened by the thought of organizing it all.
Poor Melanie! This type of crowd looks better from the outside than the inside. By the time she realizes it, her ex will be married. These doll can add to spice to the storyline! I can't wait! I love your use of lighting. Lights are my next thing on the list!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - You are so right. Roderick was a keeper. What?!? You have lights on the list. What will hubby think?
ReplyDeleteDynasty? That Dynasty, where the Carringtons were? We watched it in Russia in 90s. It was the time, when I was young enough to really play dolls, partly because my friends I played with were much younger than me. We watched Dynasty together and we loved it. It had great influence on our doll play. Sometimes we took names for our doll characters from it. :) And one of my friends, whom I didn't know at that time, named her main doll family after the Carrington family, so she has Blake Carrington and his wife Krystle Carrington. :)
ReplyDeleteDid I love the cat fights on Dynasty when I was a child! I can't see Roderick hanging out with this group.
ReplyDeleteEbonyNicole30 - I guess Dynasty was the original Desperate Housewives. I may have to go search the networks on line to watch some of those old episodes. I could probably get some storyline ideas.
ReplyDeleteVanessa, the lights will have to be our little secret!:)
ReplyDeleteVery nice picture, who is Alexi ?
