Happy Mother's Day!
I am so late with some of my blog posts. It has been a doll filled week, and my cup runneth over. Just a quick recap before I show pictures of my new Fashion Avenue outfits. Sunday - I watched the documentary Marwencol, about the gentleman who built the 1/6 scale world in his backyard. It was a very inspiring story. Tuesday - I ordered my new Fashion Fever outfits. Thursday - BarbieCollector.com sale Friday - Fashion Fever outfits arrived and I met an amazing dioramist. Her collection blew me away. Saturday - Local Doll Show where I also got to meet Paulette from limbe dolls for the first time. What a sweet soul! She is such a talent who has an incredible amount of knowledge. She blessed me with a couple of her creations that I can't wait to share with you. She also brought Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs for Danielle's two boys. Wasn't that sweet!
So as you can see, I have a LOT to blog about. So stay tuned.
In the meantime, I still wanted to share my new Fashion Fever outfits, because they are the cutest. I didn't get a chance to put all of the outfits on my dolls, but you will be seeing most of them in the near future in some of my stories.
"Happy Mother's Day from all the moms at VansDollTreasures. Michelle and Mikayla wearing one of the new Fashion Ave combos.
The perfect country outfit for my country family.
Some mom and daughter will be weating this at the Daddy/Daughter dance.
This is a ski outfit. There will be a ski trip later this year. I have the AA Barbie, Janet, and Kelly Ski set with the Ski Lift. Can't wait to open it.
This is called the Poet Blouse outfit. It reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.
I love this outfit. I really need to put it on a doll so you can see how cute it is. Maybe later.
I did get one more set that has 3 Kelly Party dresses. I definitely needed those for the dance.
Once again, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
Fashion Avenue was the best line of Barbie fashions that Mattel did. Unfortunately, it was about this time that the Bratz started to appear. They quickly chucked Fashion Avenue for sleazily Bratz style fashion. I love the poet outfit. I don’t remember ever see that one. I have the denim and leather outfit. I just love it! Great purchases!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - We didn't know how good we had it when FA was available. We know now! I still believe they could bring them back, or something comparable, and be very successful. I almost didn't end up with the Poet outfit. Two other people had put it on hold, but never bought it. It was meant for me!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits, love all of them. Can't wait to see someone model that denim dress with boots.
ReplyDeleteWOW, you racked up! :) I especially love the last two outfits. I wish I had them in my size. LOL.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your other finds.
Tracy - It's a shame, but my dolls have better clothes than I do. I think they have enough for a little while. They will have to do what I do. Wash and rewear. LOL.
ReplyDeleteFrannie - Isn't that denim outfit cute? It is much better in person than in the pictures. The skirt is a leatherlike material and it feels pretty soft. The boots are really nice, too. Wish I could squeeze my big self into it.
ReplyDeleteIncredible stuff, Vanessa. Love the outfits, esp. the big sis/little sis outfits. I'm lucky to have the denim vest w. black leather patchwork skirt. Cute.
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out. I want everyone to know that you are as stylish in person as all these great Fashion Fever outfits you scored. I loved those pants you were wearing!
D7ana - I just wish I had the money to buy more from her. At the time she had a few more Ken/Tommy sets too. She had close to 200 different outfits when she initially posted the sale. She even had duplicates of some of them. Totally amazing.
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - Thanks so much! I can't wait to see your pictures and read about all the artists you interviewed.
