No, not exactly. Last night I was compelled to make some roasters and some onion rings. I am in the process of developing my new food line. One category that I plan to offer will be called "Groceries". I like the idea of the dolls being able to shop for some realistic looking food to put in their refrigerators and in their ovens. So the first item I experimented with was a chicken roaster. I got a little caught up while I was making them, and kept thinking I needed to wash my hands because it was raw chicken! It was too funny! I like the way the roasters turned out, especially for my first try. As for the onion rings, I'd been thinking about them for a few weeks now, but I hadn't actually tried to make them. I gave it a go last night, and I am pretty happy with the first results. I will definitely be making more of both. They are currently available for sale in my Etsy shop. The ultimate goal is to have a separate website where people will be able to order any and all of the food that I have available. Hmmm. I wonder when I will get that done? First things first, developing a comprehensive menu.
This is how the chicken roaster comes packaged. I thought about putting a little sticker onn the front, but couldn't get it to look right. Maybe another day.
This is just a picture of the front side of 4 of the 5 roasters that I have available.

The plate of loose onion rings, currently available.
This picture just shows that there are enough onion rings on the single plate to share with multiple dolls.
Model #5 feeding her man!
Given the amount of pink and purple doll food I have, some realistic groceries would be a welcome change. It might be good to sell the roasters in two packs -- one raw and one cooked.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new line!
limbe dolls - I originally planned to do the 2 pack, but the cooked roaster needs to be dressed up a bit. A cooked roaster will definitely be offered in the near future.
ReplyDeleteYummy treats!
ReplyDeleteThe roasters and onion rings are very realistic. I'm impressed with the ad, too. Great job!
ReplyDeleteD7ana - Onion rings, yummy. Raw chicken, not so much.
ReplyDeleteDBG - Ad? What ad? She was just making an inquire about their potential chicken intentions. LOL.
LOL, yes, raw chicken ... yuck. But it would look promising in the refrigerator, ;-D The "before" bit.
ReplyDelete@Limbe Dolls - remarkable how much pink and purple food and food server items we gather, isn't it? Tsk. Laziness on the part of the toy companies.
@BDE ... yes, the onion rings look finger-licking-good. Oh, wait that's bad manners. Slapping down hands drifting towards tongues. Nasty habit, guys! Company present!
Ok, he is FIONE! I so want him! He's a Power Team guy, right? I've seen him around in other dioramas but haven't been able to find him. :( Love his edge, very unique looking.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the onion rings and chicken too.:)
Tracy - I left you a message about him on Flickr. He is not a Power Team guy. Unfortunately I can't remember who he is. I had him long before I knew anything about Powerteam guys. He is a little taller than a GI Joe guy. His wife is on a LIV body so that she can be shorter than him.
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa and TracyIndia!
ReplyDeleteI think your Mr. Fuh-IIIIIIOOONNONEEE is a Power Team figure; mine came dressed in a gray colorblocked nylon ski outfit. Sigh. But back to identifying the gentleman in question, he could also be found in other Power Team outfits. I don't know if he was exclusive to the Sports and Adventure set, but if he is this guy, he is an M & C Power Team fella. I bought him NRFB at a Pathmark supermarket.
D7ana - Thanks! Is your guy shorter than the other PowerTeam guys? Mine is, which is why I didn't think he was one.
ReplyDeleteSo, #5 and her guy aren't in the characters? Too bad!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - They are in the characters. They were introduced as a family in June, when I returned from vacation. They have a daughter Julian's age. She was on the museum trip. You may see them when school starts.
ReplyDeletewhy are you not buying the frozen chiken
ReplyDeletejasica joe - I'm not sure I understand the question? Do you mean at the grocery store?
Deleteno why your not buying the Chicken in your etsy store
ReplyDeletejasica - Oh, why am I not selling the chicken in my Etsy store? When I first made them, they were sold in my Etsy store, but I stopped offering them after a short time. I will probably do a whole grocery store series when I get a little more time.
