We are going orange!

Going orange is nothing like going green, but I will go orange every day if it looked like this.  This is another one that I wouldn't mind having in one of my houses.  There are a couple more pillow combinations offered, but I think this is my favorite. You can see the other options on the Etsy listing.  Currently available in my Etsy store.

I am currently working on an Accent Chair and Ottoman made from the multicolored fabric.

This poor child has been working overtime since she arrived.  She is probaably wishing she had landed in a household where she could just hang out and not work so hard.  The baby had to sit out of this shot.  Something about child labor laws.

Yes, I Still Make Furniture

This is the sofa I made to honor the arrival of my AA Barbie Basics 2.5.  That is how excited I was to finally see this doll for sale.  I think I need to go make something in red to honor the arrival of my Target Basic 2.0 dolls.  No, they are not on the way, yet, but soon.

Hmmm.  You know I want to keep this sofa. It is one of my favorites.  But it had to go to my Etsy shop.  It is already listed, just to keep me from being tempted.  I didn't buy much of this fabric, and the store just recently went out of business, so this may be the only sofa from this denim that I sell.  There may be a chair and ottoman.  Maybe.

"I don't understand.  If she made it to honor my arrival, shouldn't I get to keep it?"
In the perfect world, where money fell from trees, this would be true.

Just turning the pillows the other way, gives it a more modern feel.

Remove the back pillows and just use the throw pillows to change the look once again.

Pigs In A Blanket?

Some things should just not be miniaturized.  We won't talk about how long it took to do these little succculent treats.  The first time always takes the longest.  I can probably whip through the next batch in half the time.  I like how they turned out though.  I will be getting quite a bit of use out of these.  I think I will put some in the shop soon.

I Made an Apple Pie for the Dance...

But it turned out so well, I decided to sell it in my Etsy Store.  Don't worry, I remembered that I have a really nice store bought (Rement) apple pie that I will use at the dance. LOL.

Here is the finished pie, complete with lattice topping.

There are actual apples under all of the crust.  And yes, the apples were nicely carmelized during the baking process.
Camille is getting ready to serve Grace a nice healthy piece.

Darius and Nikki Make Up! Must Be The New Sofa

Darius finally makes a decision. I think Nikki's new wardrobe and the new sofa helped him with this decison. The new sofa is currently available in my Etsy shop for $47.00 USD.  It comes with 2 sets of throw pillows. For more details, click on the link to be taken to my Etsy store.

Nikki is finally home from work.  She's so  tired she forgot to remove her shades.  Darius is due to arrive any minute.

When Darius arrives, they cuddle for awhile on the sofa.

Nikki is thrilled to be back in his arms.  After months of rumors of him being seen with some woman named Halle, she is relieved.  She doesn't even care to know the details.  She just wants to put it behind her and move on.

Darius offers to give her a foot massage. He can feel how tense she is.  She is thrilled.  Working as a hotel manager can be quite demanding at times.

"So honey, what do you think we should do about dinner."

"I think we should order in.  You don't seem to be in any condition to venture out."

"That sounds divine.  I definitely don't feel like cooking tonight."

Darius continues his foot massage until they final settle on Italian from the neighborhood restaurant.

After dinner, Darius and Nikki discuss taking their relationship to the next level.

Hmmm, I wonder what that means.

Model Nikki's Impromptu Photo Shoot

I set out this morning to do a short photostory because I had been meaning to do a few over the past several weeks.  I am trying to get caught up, because I have so much to share. I couldn't decide who the photostory would feature.  Xavier and his daughter, Hailey, Jack and Michelle and their two daughters, and Danielle and her two boys with their new Tinker Toys and Lincoln logs from Auntie Paulette, were all options I considered.  I settled on doing a photostory with Danielle and Model Nikki, who is a manager at the local hotel.  They were going to be discussing the upcoming Daddy/Daughter dance.

When I set out to find something for the ladies to wear, I got totally distracted and ended up doing a photoshoot, instead of a photostory.  Most feature Model Nikki in one of the outfits I bought at the doll show this past Saturday.  It is a handmade outfit from one of the ladies who has only been sewing about 8 weeks.  She said the first 3 weeks were just learning the sewing machine.  LOL!  I think she has great potential and if I can get her to learn how to use the computer, I told her I would help her get some sales.

This dress came with a Barbie doll (not this one) for $2.

One day I am going to restyle Nikke's hair.  It looks really nice when it is slightly pulled back.

Poor Darius. He's confused, because I'm confused.  Every time I think I am going to put him with Halle, I take one look at Nikki and get all confused again.  She is soooo stunning in person.  I feel confident that another guy is going to come along and I will be able to figure this all out, once and for all.

This dress and doll are from the same lady. The fabric is a really soft knit. She tried to sell the doll and the dress to me for $5, but I paid her a little more because I felt she was cheating herself.  I love the doll, too.  She will be rebodied at some point and make her way into my stories.
Here is the dress on Melanie. I think she wears it well.

This is another one of her handmade creations. Once again, the dress came with a doll for $2.

Danielle fell in love with it, and volunteered to model it.

I got a lot more outfits and dolls from this lady.  She was selling her factory outfits for 25 cents per piece.  Some of the items she had were Fashion Avenue pieces.  She had quite a few articulated dolls that she sold for $2-$3, but Paulette (limbe dolls) bought all of those. LOL! I was very happy for Paulette.  When Paulette tried to direct me to this ladies table when I first arrived at the show, I went the other way. Didn't want to be tempted to spend money. Seems that plan failed miserably.  Now do you see why I broke down, ran to the ATM machine, and spent money I didn't have?  How do you pass up $2 dolls with OOAK dresses?  How do you pass up really nice clothing pieces for 25 cents?  If you know the answer to this question, don't share it with me.  LOL!

Roderick's Ex-Wife and Daughter are introducing the new Sofa

Have you been wondering about Roderick's ex-wife?   I don't know a lot about her, but in an effort to learn more, I invited her and her daughter to do the photo shoot with my new sectional.

Roderick's ex-wife, Melanie and his daughter Nicole. I hope that Roderick is over her, because she sure is pretty.

Here they are on the new "Springtime Green" mini sectional.

During the photoshoot, Melanie had to conduct a little business. She is some type of lawyer, but I didn't get all the details.  Her meeting only lasted about an hour.

So the sectional will be available at my Etsy Store later today, for $75USD + shipping

Great for parties or other familiy gatherings  Use the chaise lounge for a bedroom setting.

My Burger King Sofa

Why am I calling it my Burger King Sofa?  Because you can have it your way.  Well almost your way.  Let's just say there are lots of options.  I often switch out pillows on a particular sofa so that I can use it for a different setting.  This sofa offers those same options.  The base sofa comes with 2 throw pillows the same color as the sofa (White/Cream Linen) and your choice of 3 different pillows from 6 different fabrics.

Currently available in my Etsy shop for $55USD + shipping
Here is the basic sofa with 2 throw pillows.

Then you can choose from the standard selection, or any combination thereof.  You can choose 3 different fabrics, 3 of the same fabric, 2 of one fabric and 1 different fabric. The possibilities are endless.  I am also offering an additional set of 3 pillows for $12.  This one sofa could be used in many different settings for many different families, just by changing the pillow combination.

You can even change the style of sofa by removing the 2 back cushions and placing the 5 throw pillows along the back.
