Halle, Darius, and Diego?

Halle has finished her photoshoot for the day.  She is relaxing in the lounge area.

"But I don't understand.  Why are you here?"  (Halle)
"I needed to see you.  I've been thinking about us a lot lately and wanted to see if there was still a chance for us."  (Darius)

Halle is speechless and really doesn't know what to say.

"Honey, sorry I'm late.  Are you ready?"  (Diego)

"Diego, you are here."  (Halle)
"Yes. Finally I am here.  Traffic was worse than I thought.  Why are you sitting in here talking to yourself?"  (Diego)
"I'm not talking to myself."  (Halle)

"Well, there's no one else here."  (Diego)

Halle looks over towards the sofa and realizes her conversation with Darius was all in her head.

"Are you okay?"  (Diego)
"I think so.  It's just been a long day and I didn't sleep well last night." (Halle)
"Come, let me take a look at you."  (Diego)

"Yep. Still gorgeous, albeit a little flustered.  Maybe you are coming down with something."  (Diego)
"I'm fine.  I just need some rest."  (Halle)

"Well, let's go eat and then I will take you home and tuck you in.  Okay?"  (Diego)

"That sounds wonderful."  (Halle)
Halle realizes she has a good man and that she needs to hold on to him.

"Thanks for being so good to me."  (Halle)

"I wouldn't have it any other way.  You are very special to me."  (Diego)
Halle and Diego leave the studio holding hands.  Halle doesn't know where those thoughts of Darius came from, but she has put them out of her head.

The new sofa and chair are listed in the Etsy store.  It will only be listed as a set for about a week.  Then it will be sold as two separate pieces.

Let's Check in on Darius and Nikki

I took a quick trip out to Aspen to check on our skiiers.  I'm not sure how much skiing is happening.  I caught up with Darius and Nikki lounging in the sitting area

"I can't believe we have to leave tomorrow.  These two weeks went quick." (Nikki)
"Did you have a good time?" (Darius)

"Do you really have to ask that question?   Having you practically to myself without you flying off to some business meeting.  It's been heavenly." (Nikki)

"Honey, it won't always be this hectic.  I just have to make sure we are financially set.  One day I will be around so much, you will wish I was flying off somewhere." (Darius)
"I will settle for the happy medium." (Nikki)

"Let's go to bed." (Darius)

In my spare time I make furniture. LOL!   I'm laughing because this is supposed to be my primary activity.  Funny how the tables have turned.  I still have a few cream pillows to add to this set.  This set was commissioned, and already has an owner.  For those who have inquired about furniture, I will be getting back to you real soon.  I haven't forgotten!

Halle Does June Cleaver

A good model can transform into any character.  Halle is doing her June Cleaver impression today as she models the new traditional sofa.  I am on a mission to get my Etsy store restocked.  I'm making great progress.

I just love those little shoes.

Animal Attraction and Apple Green Plaid

Don't be confused.  They are just the names of my two latest furniture pieces.  I have more coming, but I have to take a station break to work on a commission or two.  Both pieces are listed in my Etsy shop.

This is one of my favorite fabrics.  It is so soft. I made a chair from this fabric about 4 years ago.  I didn't have a lot of fabric to begin with, but I was able to get an accent chair and ottoman out of what I had left.  If I look at it too long, I may be unlisting it and putting it in someone's house downstairs. LOL.

Look who I found.  Jacquelyn Langford.  Poor child hasn't had any camera time lately.  If you look closely, you can see the scowl on her face.  I sure hope she hasn't been hitting the bottle all this time.  If so, she may need some professional help by now.

The latest sofa is called Apple Plaid.  This sofa makes me smile.

So happy to see that she is eating cake and drinking tea.  I was getting worried.

The next post should feature food, but it won't.  I have been patiently waiting for new plates to arrive before making any new food.  I sure hope the plates are the right size.  So instead of food, you will probably get the next and last segment of the Labor Day Cookout.

The Shabby Chic Sofa was a Success

The custom shabby chic sofa was received yesterday and the customer was thrilled.  I gave her lots of pillows to mix and match to have different looks.  I actually offered her a choice between two base sofas, and this is the one she chose.  The other one had a mix of the two fabrics from my previous post, entitled "If I Believed in Coincidences..."

Customer Comments:

Vanessa, it’s WONDERFUL!  The pillows are delightful – LOVE the fine wale corduroy one with the “belt” and button – that was inspired!   And I love the other two with their lovely fabrics!  The feet are perfect – really, it’s a thing of beauty.  Everyone in my office loves it!  ;>)  I think people want their own human-sized one, but it’s so much more special being small.  I love it!  Many thanks – I know it’s going to be perfect for the room and the Momokos are going to be very happy sitting on it!  Yay!  I’ll send you pics when  I have them.  Thanks so much – it was a great experience and I’m 100% delighted!

I’m really so tickled by it!  I think it’s the size and the shape…it’s just so REAL looking and we’re all having so much fun looking at it.  These are non-doll ladies, but they really appreciate nice furniture!  J  I’m looking at it right now – it’s on my desk – and I just so love the patterns of the pillows.  Really, you did such a great job!  One thing that makes it so nice is the shape of the back cushions, the way they curve over the arms!  I didn’t really notice it before, but it’s so perfect!

Darius and Nikki Modeling the Redesigned, Newly Designed Accent Chair

Here is the latest Accent Chair, that will be listed in my Etsy Shop right after I finish this, my 3rd post of the day.  I am hopeless when it comes to slowing down.  It is 3:30pm, which means there is still too much time in the day and I may be tempted to do 4 posts today.  I promise not to post another one until after midnight.

Here are Darius and Nikki.  I just love this couple.  I wonder if they are celebrating something.  I see champagne and glasses.

The new design was actually a 'happy accident'  I forgot to put the cushion on the chair before I added the seat fabric, which meant I had to add it on top.  I like the new design.  I will probably still offer both designs for the same price.

So I'm off to either make clothes for Julian, or do a video.  See you tomorrow.

A Little Something for the Traditionalist

Just finished my new sofa.  I went totally traditional on this one, even adding a little fringe.  It is the perfect complement to those burgundy accent chairs.  Currently available in my Etsy shop for $55USD +shipping.

Here it is pictured with those lovely accent chairs.

Grace has stopped by to have tea with her mom.  (I have to give Grace a new body. That one is articulated only in the arms)

I Designed Some New Little Accent Chairs

I've been wanting to design a cute little accent chair and I finally got around to it last week. I think these accent chairs are quite versatile and can be used in many different scenes.   A few scenes that popped into my head are the following:  bedroom sitting area, doctor's office, bank, fireside area....  endless possibilities.

The burgundy pair is currently available in my Etsy shop.  The Beige Accent chair and Ottoman will be listed sometime today.  I plan to have many different fabric choices and various designs available on a regular basis.

This pair is currently available for sale.  In case you are wondering about the table (which is not for sale), the base is just a miniature planter holder and I added a clear glass top.

William and Camille Langford are having a little wine, cheese and grapes.  They are potentially discussing the upcoming family dinner with their daughters.

I will be reposting this picture when I reshoot it tomorrow.
