I Made an Apple Pie for the Dance...

But it turned out so well, I decided to sell it in my Etsy Store.  Don't worry, I remembered that I have a really nice store bought (Rement) apple pie that I will use at the dance. LOL.

Here is the finished pie, complete with lattice topping.

There are actual apples under all of the crust.  And yes, the apples were nicely carmelized during the baking process.

Jessica's Play Date

The Hart family has been adjusting to having dad home.  It's been quite an adjustment, especially for dad, Ethan.  Stephanie has had to reorganize her life to not only be mom, but to get back to being a wife.  Ethan is working through all the nightmares about the war.  Even with all the challenges, they are all happy to be reunited.

A typical family room when there are infants and toddlers in the house.

Stephanie has managed to get Jessica, baby Aiden and herself, dressed.

 Dad comes to say goodbye before leaving for work.

"Hmmm.  Daddy loves you so much."

"Have a great day, honey."

Kathleen is headed to school. Mom gives some last minute advice.

Moments. later, Jessica heads to her play area.

Mom has placed the baby in the playpen for his morning nap. 

Meanwhile, she does a little cleaning to get ready for the guests.

Hours have passed.  Mom fed the kids their lunch and then put them down for naps.

They're so adorable when they sleep. 

 

Naps never seem to last long.

Jessica awakes just in time for her play date with Mikayla.

"Sweetie, look who's here. Are you going to say hi to Mikayla." 

Doesn't take long before the girls are totally engrossed in playland.

Even baby Chloe is playing away.

Stephanie and Michelle get to enjoy some adult conversation. I think I hear them talking about the dance. Yes, they will both be there.

An hour later and the girls have had enough. All in all, a great play date for all.

New Family, the Robinsons and a New Couple

Meet the Robinsons.  Frank and Michelle have 2 little girls.  Mikayla is 3 and Chloe is 4 months old.  This is my country family.  They love everything outdoors; camping, fishing, canoeing, etc.  They live in a small country town away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but not too far that they can't partake in some of the in town activities when necessary.  If you recall, Michelle is one of the assistants at the Pediatrician's Office. 

Here's proud Papa with his two little angels.

Michelle has a younger sister, Natasha.

They are very different in personalities, but still very close.

Natasha is currently dating bad boy, Ryan. He is a member of the infamous Harley Davidson club.

Ethan meets his son for the first time

Stephanie is waiting anxiously with the kids for the arrival of her husband, Ethan.  He is finally returning home from Iraq, for good. It's been almost a year since they have seen him.  This will be his first time meeting his son, Aiden.

They are seated in a small private waiting area.

An hour has passed, and baby Jessica is getting a little restless. 

All of a sudden, the door opens, and there he is!

Stephanie is soooo happy to see her husband!

Kathleen is excited to see her dad, but she waits for mom to finish her hello.

"Oh honey, we missed you so much!"

Kathleen finally gets her turn. Jessica is a little taken aback, at first. She doesn't really recognize this man.

But somehow she softens up, and allows her daddy to give her a big ol' hug.

When Ethan sees his son for the first time, he is nearly brought to tears. "He's so beautiful!"

Ethan loves his country, but he is happy to be home with his family.

I must have been a Redhead in a former life - Meet the Hart Family

I love red heads, especially red headed children. Can't explain it. Not going to try.  So I knew my stories would include at least one family of red heads. Which brings me to the Hart Family.  I named them the Hart family because two of the kids are from the Only Hearts Club.  The infant is Baby Aiden, an Ebay purchase. He is the only one fully named.  Names will be known, once they enter the doll stories.  Mom and Baby Aiden will be appearing in the next story. And yes, Baby Aiden has red hair under his little cap.

Oh yeah, there's no father yet.  Haven't found a suitable one yet. So for now we will say that he is away on business. He may actually be deployed.  Still working on it.

I really need to dress that little girl!
