The bakery has several rooms where Penelope meets with clients. I will have to show you guys the main lobby one day, where the day to day sales take place. We saw another tasting room when Rod and Danielle were sampling their wedding cake.
Penelope starts to make some coffee, then decides against it. If they want coffee, she will just get some from the main lobby.
"Hello Camille. So nice to see you again." (Penelope)
"Hello Penelope. I brought my daughter, Jacquelyn with me this time." (Camille)
"Well come on in, let me show you what I've done, so far. Would you guys care for some coffee?" (Penelope)
The ladies decide against coffee and make their way in while Penelope situates herself behind the table.
"I decided to show the two dessert trays together so we can decide on final presentation. Here is the first one we put together." (Penelope)
"And here we have the second group of desserts we discussed." (Penelope)
"Here we have the teddy bear cookies, the baby block tea cakes, and the double layer lemon cake. Why don't you taste the teddy bear cookies." (Penelope)
"Oh, they turned out so cute." (Camille)
"They are cute." (Jacquelyn)
"I was thinking of the shower having a Teddy Bear theme." (Camille)
"I don't know, mom. Sometimes you go a little overboard when you do theme parties." (Jacquelyn)
"Well it was just a thought." (Camille)
"Well, let's move on to the baby blocks." (Penelope)
"I did a sample of four with the words baby spelled out. Who would like to taste?" (Penelope)
"I'll taste this one." (Jacquelyn)
"So cute! I really like this idea." (Jacquelyn)
"And finally we have the lemon cake you requested." (Penelope)
"Mom, why so many different desserts? How many people are you inviting?" (Jacquelyn)
"I just want to have a nice variety, and you never know who will show up. It's better to have too much than not enough." (Camille)
The ladies eat their treats, then sit down to finalize a few details
"I'm happy with the choices, but I would like to have the whole cakes displayed together on one tray, and the slices on another. I may need a third tray before it's all said and done." (Camille)
"That will be just fine." (Penelope)
"Looking at my calendar, I may have to pick those up the morning before the celebration." (Camille)
"Mom, I can pick those up for you. You don't have to do everything yourself." (Jacquelyn)
Jacquelyn knows that her mom will probably not take her up on the offer.
Camille has set the date for the celebration, but she hasn't told me yet. Teddy bear cookies and a double layer cake will hit the Etsy store soon. Baby blocks may make it there soon, too.
