Commercial Break - A New Sofa

Here is the latest sofa, already listed in my Etsy shop.  I wouldn't mind having this one myself.  I can just see a wonderful room decorated around this piece.

I had to pull Halle out of her modeling conference.  Duty calls!

She enjoys those times when she can play the role of a Southern Belle.

No picture preview of the next story, but we will be checking in on the new happily married couple.  Ooh la la!  That will be tomorrow.

New Names and a New Chair

So I just finished an accent chair and ottoman that will go perfectly with the orange tweed sofa.  I also named my Barbie Basics 2.5 and her daughter.  The mom's name is Racquel.  She is named after one of my favorite friends that I met when I worked as a Realtor.  Her baby's name is Carmen. She is named after my youngest stepdaughter (26), who just recently had her own baby, who she named Carmen, too.

The new chair and ottoman have been listed in my Etsy Shop.

We are going orange!

Going orange is nothing like going green, but I will go orange every day if it looked like this.  This is another one that I wouldn't mind having in one of my houses.  There are a couple more pillow combinations offered, but I think this is my favorite. You can see the other options on the Etsy listing.  Currently available in my Etsy store.

I am currently working on an Accent Chair and Ottoman made from the multicolored fabric.

This poor child has been working overtime since she arrived.  She is probaably wishing she had landed in a household where she could just hang out and not work so hard.  The baby had to sit out of this shot.  Something about child labor laws.

Yes, I Still Make Furniture

This is the sofa I made to honor the arrival of my AA Barbie Basics 2.5.  That is how excited I was to finally see this doll for sale.  I think I need to go make something in red to honor the arrival of my Target Basic 2.0 dolls.  No, they are not on the way, yet, but soon.

Hmmm.  You know I want to keep this sofa. It is one of my favorites.  But it had to go to my Etsy shop.  It is already listed, just to keep me from being tempted.  I didn't buy much of this fabric, and the store just recently went out of business, so this may be the only sofa from this denim that I sell.  There may be a chair and ottoman.  Maybe.

"I don't understand.  If she made it to honor my arrival, shouldn't I get to keep it?"
In the perfect world, where money fell from trees, this would be true.

Just turning the pillows the other way, gives it a more modern feel.

Remove the back pillows and just use the throw pillows to change the look once again.

Permanent Room Dilemma and New Houndstooth Sofa

I just sent out my weekly blog update to a list of people who subscribed.  Why didn't you guys tell me that I had blog post diarrhea last week?  I think Frannie eluded to it.  I was a little crazy last week with the photostories and the video.  This week I will try to refrain from post overload of stories, so you guys can keep up. It might be hard because now everytime I go into the studio and I see a room set up, I want to do a quick story.  Boy do I have a lot of stories on the horizon.  The Anderson home design has been determined and I am in the process of tweeking. The Dinosaur museum was dismantled today, and I was so tempted to set up a new display for a new video.  Instead, I took pictures of the new sofa that I also did this past week.  Did I sleep at all this past week?  Let me think....  I do know that this morning I got up at 2:15am and haven't been back to sleep yet.

I will spend the next couple of days getting caught up on reading blogs.  I will also be making food for the store, because I promised people that I would have stuff available by August.  Can you believe tomorrow is August 1st.  This year is flying.  Making clothes for Julian and Jacob is also on my list for this week.

The new sofa is of course, currently available in my Etsy shop.

Look What I Found in the Closet

It looks like I won an ebay auction.  I didn't.  I actually decided to clean out the closet in one of the spare bedrooms.  I hadn't opened that closet in about 6 years.  My how time flies.  There was a ton of stuff in there.  I am sharing mostly the Barbie stuff and a couple other goodies.  Some of the items need a little repair as they were crushed in the storage container.  Of course all of the pink items will get a nice paint job. I also found a box of miniatures.  DId I tell you guys I have miniature houses, too?

I needed more kitchen items.

Uh, oh.  The windshield needs repair. I don't even remember buying this car.

There's more pool stuff that didn't make the photo.

Yeah! I needed a bench. I will use the cart as a tea cart, I think.

I don't do too many bathroom scenes, but I think I will do a nice half bath one day. I have a lot of bathroom stuff that has just never been seen.

Get out! My moving hamsters. There is a wind up button in the back that allows them to play. This is perfect timing as I am planning to do a vet/pet store soon.

I also found this table.  I have one already, but tables are nice to have.

I was glad to see the bike (seat is still in the box). It will get a nice paint job to make it more modern.

Clothes, glorius clothes!  I was wondering where that cable knit sweater was. I haven't actually looked to see what is in the pile, but I know there are kid clothes in there too.

How did she get in there? She was the only fashion doll in the closet.  She's a 16" Daisy doll from Somers & Field.  Not sure if she will be staying.

Last but not least, my favorite poem, Footprints, that I cross stitched many years ago. Seems I never got it framed. I was always bad at seeing a project completely through back then. But at least I finished the poem.

There is a bigger closet in the 4rh bedroom that hasn't been opened in about 6 years, too.  There is a lot of doll related and craft stuff in there.  I can't wait to see what treasures I find in there.  Maybe I will tackle that one next week.

A Little Something for the Traditionalist

Just finished my new sofa.  I went totally traditional on this one, even adding a little fringe.  It is the perfect complement to those burgundy accent chairs.  Currently available in my Etsy shop for $55USD +shipping.

Here it is pictured with those lovely accent chairs.

Grace has stopped by to have tea with her mom.  (I have to give Grace a new body. That one is articulated only in the arms)

I Designed Some New Little Accent Chairs

I've been wanting to design a cute little accent chair and I finally got around to it last week. I think these accent chairs are quite versatile and can be used in many different scenes.   A few scenes that popped into my head are the following:  bedroom sitting area, doctor's office, bank, fireside area....  endless possibilities.

The burgundy pair is currently available in my Etsy shop.  The Beige Accent chair and Ottoman will be listed sometime today.  I plan to have many different fabric choices and various designs available on a regular basis.

This pair is currently available for sale.  In case you are wondering about the table (which is not for sale), the base is just a miniature planter holder and I added a clear glass top.

William and Camille Langford are having a little wine, cheese and grapes.  They are potentially discussing the upcoming family dinner with their daughters.

I will be reposting this picture when I reshoot it tomorrow.

Rust Suede, Ooh La La!

I hope you guys are keeping up.  We are going to start going at warp speed pace.  I recently got a little more organized, so I am able to create quicker.  New furniture, new videos, new photostories and new characters are all waiting on the horizon to be introduced.  Just to give you a little teaser of what's coming up.... I just shot the new Danielle and Roderick video, so that should hopefully be up by tomorrow.  Vanessa will be meeting with the DJ to iron out the music for the dance.  Danielle will be meeting Nicole.  Oh my.  Strap on your seatbelts.  We are in for a ride.

First things first, the new mandatory furniture piece.  A version of this sofa was introduced several months ago.  I wasn't completely thrilled with it, so I totally revamped it, adding new seat cushions and new throw pillows.  Now I am ecstatic to the point that I almost don't want to sell it, but we now I will.

Currently available in my Etsy shop for $47USD + shipping.

Don't you just love Tony and Antoinette.  They are reflecting on that wonderful beach vacation.  Good to see that after three kids, and two demanding jobs, they still have romantic moments.

Did I mention the coordinating chair is already in the store?  I finally reshot the pictures so you can actually see how beautiful it is.

The chair is listed in my Etsy store for $35USD + shipping.  A beautiful piece to enhance any decor.  I do have more material, if you would like to have a matching pair.
