I know a number of you are familiar with Johanna from Stinker's Stuff. She does amazing doll stories. I call her the Quentin Tarantino of the doll world. Her stories are so in depth, I often think she has lived through several different centuries. She does amazing dioramas and has done a few in-depth, tutorials on some of these creations. The latest one that was posted yesterday is the recording studio. Amazing! Take a look.

She's fantastic, right? I love it! I've learned so much from her tutorials.
ReplyDelete*Ahem* I'm still daydreaming about you doing a sliding door tutorial...
Vita Plastica - She's wonderful. When I talked about doing the sliding door tut, I was so excited. And we see it still hasn't been done. So I learned a valuable lesson about me. If it's something I don't enjoy doing, it's not going to get done, no matter how great my intentions. I am always too anxious to just move on to the next project. If I can find something on line that will help with that, I will post it. Sorry about that. You see I haven't committed to any other tuts since then.
ReplyDeleteHa! You said it. If you don't like it, it will never get done! I'm just teasing you. I have such a list of projects to do that I'd never get around to it! If I do, I'll email you for tips.
ReplyDeleteOkay, first thing when I open the site. 'JOHANNA' I see my name. I'm getting freaked out. I just started following the site the other day. Now everyone is familiar with me?
ReplyDeleteThen I read on and find out about this other lady. I'm relieved. Sort of...
Johanna - Sorry to freak you out! Happy to have a new follower. I plan to spend some time, probably the middle of the night one day, reading some of your stories. They seem very captivating.
ReplyDeleteVanessa, All I can say is "Wow, amazing site" Thanks for posting her site! It's going to take me some time to go through the website.
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain. I went into the page that you recommend 'Stinker stuff' and it's really good scene in the music room. To me it is very difficult to do. His work is like a work of art. Similar to your dioramas. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I just lost a half an hour! (happily I might add!) What amazing scenes! Can't wait to explore the rest of that site!
ReplyDeleteDisarmywife - Only a half hour? Consider yourself lucky. I'm glad that you are enjoying her site. She is a wonderful person.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm did anybody check out the Asian doll was doing the recording, he is yummy!
ReplyDeleteEbonyNicole - You crack me up! My psychiatrist is on site. I will have her schedule you in.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteSo, I LOVE doll stories. Your blog is right up my ally. I found you because Kendra talked about you on Mom Blog Society, but now I must follow you because the story I just read in the post before this one? SO FREAKING CUTE. I cannot wait to go back and read more of your work. I'm also going to show your blog to my friend Tara, because she builds amazing dioramas for fashion-sized dolls.
Awesome!!! :D
Ronn - Welcome to my blog! I plan to do a summary about the stories just so new people can get an idea of what is going on. I will do a quick overview tonight. Kendra is wonderful. I love reading about her son. I joined the Mom blog society because most of my doll families have kids and reading about other people's kids allows me to add more realism to my stories. I am a new follower and look forward to reading your blog. Thanks for visiting. If your friend has a blog or place she shares her dioramas, please share.
ReplyDeleteJohanna's work is amazing and I always enjoy seeing more of her talent. I saw the recording studio tutorial when she posted yesterday and I was blown away! It gets me excited about what furniture prop I want to start on next! :D
