My dolls may not be having Thanksgiving dinner. The only thing I have made so far is cranberry sauce. I wonder if the feeling will hit before the actual day. They may be having Christmas dinner instead. I did make one of my favorite appetizers, quesadillas, that I haven't had in over two years now. As you can imagine, it was all I could do to keep from running to the local Mexican restaurant. This particular set is in my Etsy shop and ready to be shipped.
Just as I remember them. Lightly toasted with lots of cheese. I don't eat guacamole and the color is off, so I may redo it.
They are filled with shredded chicken, tomatoes, green peppers, and cheese, glorius cheese. I used to order the spinach quesadilla more often than I ordered the chicken, so I may offer a vegetarian version, too.
There are 8 pieces. That's enough to have 2 individual restaurant meals (4 pieces each), or...
They can be served as a nice appetizer for a group of people.
Wow, you are awesome. Looks delish!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I made a lot of salt dough food. I made tacos and wanted to make quesadillas but didn't really know what they looked like since I'm lactose intolerant. Now I might make some spinach quesadillas patterned after yours.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Maybe your dolls are tired of cooking and would like to have Thanksgiving dinner at one of the nice restaurants that have popped up in Morristown. :-)
Vita Plastica - Thanks so much. I sure wish they were real right about now.
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - Isn't there lactose free cheese now? Luckily I think it looks just like regular cheese. Not sure if going to a restaurant for Thanksgiving would really help, since I am also the restaurant chef. I would have to make a lot of food for all those people. Uh oh. I'm feeling inspired to go make some macaroni and cheese (adult style, not that crazy out of the box orange stuff). I better go before the feeling leaves me.
Hello from Spain: I am looking forward to seeing your Thanksgiving dinner. I know in America is a very important day. What does food look good you did. We remain in contact blog blog
ReplyDeleteThose Qesadillas look soooo sooo delicious!! I'm ready to go out and find a Mexican restaurant and place an order. You've done a great job, they look crunchy, and cheesey.
ReplyDeleteQuesadillas, a staple around here -- mostly tuna/salsa/mayo mix with cheese or sometimes just cheese -- a nice quick meal when I'm too tired to cook.

Marta - I always forget that Thanksgiving is just a US holiday. I hope my miniature dinner comes together before the holiday gets here. If now you will be seeing it for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteVals Joy - I am right behind you for that Mexican restaurant. I looovvvee me some quesadiallas. Let's not even talk about the chips.
DBG - I can't say that I have ever tried that combo before. Sounds really good though. Maybe I will try that one day.
I with I could get away with that!
ReplyDeleteAlso I like her shawl!
Kenya - Yes we know how much you love to cook. We are all coming over for one of your great feast.
ReplyDeleteWhoa this looks real! Ok, I know what I'm making for dinner tonight. :) Also, I'm having Fashion Doll Story with drawls...anything on the horizon? No pressure, LOL. ;)
ReplyDeleteTracy - I was supposed to be having quesadillas, too. Hasn't happened yet. The scene is set for the next video. All the dolls are in place. All the decor is not quite finished, but shouldn't take long. And the camera battery is on the charger. That is the first thing on tomorrow's agenda. It was supposed to happen today, but I had to make some breakfast plates. I did post the new wedding planner just a moment ago, so make sure you take a look.
ReplyDeleteOld Joe says that he would gobble up some quesadillaa
ReplyDeleteD7ana - Tell Old Joe I had him in mind when I made them. Tell him he is always on my mind.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Old Joe's jaw dropped. Then he blushed. We've never seen him like that. Speechless, but strutting.
