I passed by this bag in my garage a couple days ago. Then remembered I had stopped by a new Goodwill last Sunday. Let's take a look.
I found a Groovy Girls tent for $1.51.
It goes quite nicely with the Groovy Girls booth I bought some years ago from another thrift store.
The tent is so cute. I came up with a nice little story. I was thinking Rod and Danielle could take Nicole and a few friends camping at Rod's cabin up in the woods.
This was three pieces for $2.92
Here they are. I like that they are modular. I think the fireplace/tv wall will go nicely (once painted) in the Anderson's bedroom.
Found this auburn haired Theresa for $1.21.
I didn't have a clue what this was. I knew it was pet related and a good deal at $2.92.
This is the inside. Does anyone know the name of this set?
The backside.
Last but not least, is a grandfather clock my mom picked up at a different Goodwill. It was marked $3.43, but she gets a 25% off senior discount.
Hello from Spain: your purchases always nice and cheap things. Your purchases are very good for our stories. I like the modular. Always adapt well to all scenes. The fireplace I really like. The grandfather clock in is awesome. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Yes, it's always great to find Barbie items at such great prices.
DeleteThe misterious set looks like a horse stable but I don't know its name
ReplyDeleteSergio - Thanks. I forgot Barbie had such small horses. I wasn't thinking stable at all.
DeleteNice findings! I have a wedding gown like the one Teresa is wearing. Is a very pretty Fashion Avenue :)
ReplyDeleteV. - Thanks for telling me that's a Fashion Avenue dress. I will have to get that to the Bridal Boutique asap.
DeleteNice finds! The set is the barbie horse stable but i too dont know the name of it right of hand!
ReplyDeletewilliam - Thanks. I will now search horse stables. They must have been ponies. This stable is really small.
DeleteGreat finds! I have that horse stable. It is from the late 90s or early 2000s. I got mine on clearance at Toys R Us. The box is long gone, though, so I don't know the name either.
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - Thanks for the info. I'm sure I can find it with the additional info.
Deleteits called the styling stable. :)
ReplyDeleteWendy - Thanks so much for the name! I appreciate you taking the time to answer.
DeleteYou and your mom always find awesome things at thrift stores! There must be some great ones in your area. I thought that was a horse stable, but I wasn't sure if it was for Barbie. Then again, Mattel doesn't always make things in true Barbie scale. Love the clock and the modulars. Wedding dress is definitely Fashion Avenue. I think I have it somewhere. LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteCindi - There are so many thrift stores near me. It's mind boggling. I said one day I was going to spend the whole day thrift store hopping and visiting ones I never get to. I thought it was for dogs and cats. It's so tiny. Glad I know the name now. I can look it up and see what's missing.
DeleteHi Van,
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the stable either but I like it for the pet shop with the cute little puppies you showed some time back. It can be their grooming station or something. I really like that booth! Hey, your Goodwill has better prices than my Goodwill! LOL
Grandmommy - I'm with you. I plan on using it for the dogs and cats. The majority of our Goodwills have great prices. One is way overpriced.
DeleteQue bonitos accesorios, espero verlos pronto en un post, saludos.
ReplyDeleteGracias, voy a tratar de conseguir en algunas historias, pronto.
DeleteSo nice stuff - The most of this nice things are not available in Germany.(This is Loxixedo from YouTube)
ReplyDeletePuck - Loxixedo! So nice of you to visit my blog. I hope to have a new video up in the next couple of weeks.
DeleteGreat findings all of them, I can't wait to see them into your dios! Those thrift stores are real teasure chests.
ReplyDeleteRossetti - The things you can find at the thrift stores are amazing. I can't imagine how much I would have if I visited them regularly.
DeleteHi Vanessa, great shopping...love these pieces and I know you will have a place for them soon! Your Mum is really helping you shop for some nice items!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!!
Luv
Loretta - Hello dear. My mom loves shopping, no matter what it is. I love that she is involved.
DeleteCongrats on your great finds Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteI don't know the name of the stable ,but I've seen it brand new. My friend when I we where younger( back in the early 2000s) had one, and we would play with it for hours on end. It originally came with a full size horse and a filly. The little plastic cylinder on the wall would originally have little plastic green pebbles in it for the horses to eat. So it was some sort of food.
Tracey - It's the Styling Stable. Thanks for the additional info. I'm going to use it for dogs and cats. My horses are way too big for it.
DeleteThat is a great haul! I love the clock. I looked at one like that but they wanted way to much for it! I have that tent too. I don't remember what I payed for it. It does look girly and I think Nicole would like it. I think the modulars were sold in the Penny's Xmas catalog. I have seen the bathroom was sold in Value Store for 19.99 with the doll but it was a cheap doll. I think you make out at that price. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - I now have four grandfather clocks. I think I have enough now. LOL. I bought another one of those bathroom units at the Nov 2011 doll show for $5. This one is in better shape.
DeleteOh wow! That grandfather clock is outstanding!
ReplyDeletePresto - Isn't is sweet? All of them work, too.
DeleteWith all those clocks that just means you need to make a pawn shop dio and have some of your older dolls man it.
ReplyDeleteYou mom and I need to go thrifting together. We could be like Thelma and Lousie - without the cliff.
Muff - You and I really were separated at birth. I had the same idea but I was thinking antique shop. The Goodwill is my mom's second home. She knows all the workers by name. LOL!
DeleteI think I just picked up that same three piece set you got.. but mine are all taped together so I haven't had a chance to look at them yet!!
ReplyDeleteHeather - Wow, what are the odds that you would find the same pieces at the same time? That's great!
DeleteGood finds. I really like the groovy girls booth.
ReplyDeleteMale Doll World - Thanks. I used the groovy girls booth in previous stories and videos when the kids went to Dolly World, which is similar to Chuck E. Cheese.
DeleteWow great finds! I can't wait to get out and do some garage sales on the weekend... last weekend I found great outfits for the dolls... 4 pieces for $1 love love garage sales !
ReplyDeleteGinger - Thanks. I haven't been to a garage sale in years. I get tempted to go, but then remember how much stuff I already have. Hope you find some great stuff.
DeleteBetween you and your mum your dolls are so well supplied with everything they need. Great finds. And a camping story would be lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteCarrickters - My dolls will never want for anything. Those lucky little things.
