I have two more dresses ready to go.
Dress #2
Dress #3
This will not be an outfit. Can't have a sleeveless top with these heavy pants. There will either be a long sleeve shirt of the striped material and these pants, or shorts made of a different material and this shirt.
This ill fitting shirt is just to demonstrate some cute fabric I found. There will be a better fitting shirt and possibly a dress from this fabric. I love stripes.
I started the boy outfits. I made the sleeves way too long on this jacket and the pattern needs a little adjusting. This sweatshirt has elastic in the waist. I really wish I had a small enough zipper. That would be really cool.
The brown pants from above actually fit Darren, who is a little bigger than the SIS kids.
Hey, how about a hoodie from the brown fabric to go with the pants? You could still have the shirt with it too. It would look like a little sweat suit. And I know they don't use strings most of the time now, but how about little strings in the hood for realism? They wouldn't have to really do anything, but it would look cute. As for a tiny zipper, that would be cool! I dream of tiny stuff like that too.Maybe you could just sew a fake fly in the pants.
ReplyDeleteTam - Thanks for all your suggestions. I will take them into consideration. I am thinking of putting mock strings on some of the jackets because I think that would be cute, too.
DeleteOne day I'll be able to buy an outfit or two from you. I like them a lot..... greatwork...
ReplyDeleteLadonna - My goal is to make them affordable. I just have to get a little faster at sewing them.
DeleteBeautiful dresser! lovely!
ReplyDeleteTodo sobre mi Barbie - Thanks!
DeleteLove the outfits!
ReplyDeleteAG Lanc - Thanks!
DeleteAwww...more cute stuff. Have you gotten around to deciding on a price point for these? I need to start setting aside a few dollars to purchase some clothes for the kiddos.
ReplyDeleteJewell - My goal is to offer them at affordable prices. I'm trying to keep dresses and simple outfits in the $7 - $8 range. Jean outfits may be a smidge more. If people just want pants, they will be in the $3 - $4 range.
DeleteI love the first 2 dresses! They are so cute and my kiddos would love to have them! I also like where you are going with the other outfits. The gray sweatsuit is looking good. I remember a site called "Tiny Zippers" that sold just that, tiny zippers for doll clothes. Not sure if she is still out there.
ReplyDeletePhyllis = Thanks! Dresses will probably get listed early next week. Don't worry. There will be more than one available for each. I have a source for tiny zippers and I bought some not too long ago. Unfortunately the zippers for jackets are still too big for this size.
DeleteThere are coming out nicely. Those two dresses are adorable.
ReplyDeleteJanainah - Thanks. I decided to make the dress skirts fuller.
DeleteThe dresses are adorable! The sweatsuit is cute, too.

DBG - Thanks. I really like the black leopard with the white bottom. I will offer it both ways, though.
DeleteLove them! Julian looks too handsome in that sweatsuit! Great job on them all!
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Girl - Thanks. Julian was not trying to give back the sweatsuit. I explained that he was just the model.
Deletewow they all look so adorable! The boys outfits look really nice! They should have you designing the kids clothes at Mattel Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteLIsa - Thanks! I always think it's strange when companies produce dolls but no extra clothes for them.
DeleteYou've been busy! The dresses are precious.
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - Thanks. This project is long overdue, so I'm just trying to stay steadfast and get it accomplished.
DeleteI love the dresses. The pants and sweat suit looks good even without a zipper.
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - Making the dresses are so much fun. I'm sure I'll figure out something with those sweatsuit jackets.
DeleteAdorable. I know from experience sewing tiny clothes is not as easy as it looks. Well done.
ReplyDeleteRoville - Thanks. It's definitely much easier to sew for 16 and 18" dolls.
DeleteHello from Spain: your clothes are fabulous creations. These children are very trendy. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Thanks! We need trendy doll kids.
DeleteVanessa, these are just too cute for words. Great job!!!!
ReplyDeleteapril_n_paris - Thanks! I know the more I do it, the better I will get at it. So I'm making it a weekly ritual.
DeleteThose outfits are really cute. I really need to focus and sew my kids some clothes, lol.
ReplyDeleteBrini - Thanks. I'm sure your outfits are going to be super cute, too.
DeleteThese are some stellar outfits! I have slowly but surely collected a small amount of kids from the Thrift Store. Glad to know they can be swagalicious.
ReplyDeleteMuff - Thanks. I'm just going to keep at it until it becomes second nature. I'm planning some little jerseys for the boys. Hope to get to those this weekend.
DeleteThe outfits are so cute and the kiidis seem to beam wearing them. Good luck with this market ;-)
