Today, the world lost a very special woman, Maya Angelou. She's probably most noted for her novel, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings", and for her close relationship with Oprah Winfrey. She was an incredible woman, and she will be missed. I'm missing her already. Rest in peace, Ms. Angelou.
She will definitely be missed by me. I have read most of her books, the last of which was Mom & Me & Mom. I have always admired her wisdom and the pearls of it she so freely shared.

DBG - I have her latest audio book on my desktop waiting for me to finish it. It will be nice hearing her voice again.
DeleteWait what?? Oh nooo!
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to hear of her passing. I think I'm still in shock because I didn't know she was ill. What an amazing life! She will definitely be missed.
ReplyDeleteTracy - I didn't know she was ill either, so I was shocked as well. Her personal story is so inspiring. Hopefully she wasn't suffering.
DeleteIt´s a pity and I´m sorry so much :(
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize she was ill. Sad to learn that she has passed.
ReplyDeleteShe's shared so much with her writings, those great thoughts of hers and her eloquence will remain with us.
D7ana - Maybe she wasn't ill. I'm not sure. Maybe she just went peacefully.
DeleteShe was a great woman.
ReplyDeleteMale Doll World - Yes she was, and so full of wisdom.
DeleteSigh! I am still processing this. :-( Wednesday I bought an audiobook of hers that I've already read. I thought it would be hard to listen to her voice but it's very comforting. I'd eventually like to have all the audiobooks. I chose to get Letter to My Daughter because it's like a book of short stories more than a continuous one.
