I was commissioned last week to do a 17 piece Thanksgiving dolly dinner. So I've been busy. I still have 5 items left to make; macaroni and cheese, candied yams with marshmallows, chicken pot pie, potato salad, and collard greens. Those dolls are going to have some feast!
This is the spread so far. I'm a lot happier with my cornbread dressing this year. The julienned carrots with dill are new this year. I made the turkey and the ham bigger this year.
I just hope my real dinner looks just as good.
Hi Vanessa! that wonders me and I left gaping. Dining as appetizing. A kiss

ReplyDeleteOh, btw...congrats on the commission!
ReplyDeleteVanessa, I think I saw where you had purchased some Kenya guys, and I know you're always looking for more guys, so here I am with some news you may not even be able to use. I don't know if you have Meijer stores near you, but I was at a Meijer last night, and they had 3 different Kenya guys (all T.J. I guess, but dressed differently.), clearanced for $4.45. I almost got one myself, but they seem kind of big for 1/6 scale. These guys are TALL.(And with large heads.) If I had your phone number I would have called to see if you wanted me to pick them up for you! Meijer stores are based in Michigan, and I think they are mostly around Michegan and Ohio.
ReplyDeleteTam - That's amazing that you found the Kenya guys for $4.45! We don't have Meijers down here. I think the Kenya dolls will probably go on sale after Christmas, but I haven't seen a lot of guys around here. For 4.45 you should have bought them for the clothes. They will fit the other male dolls.
DeleteYou are a total boss at this. Everything looks real and super yummy.
ReplyDeleteI bet many people wish they had such a tasty Thanksgiving dinner, nice job!
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for the wonderful comments! Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoyed your dinner and your time with friends and family.
