The Redmonds are the first family to use to new Pink Dreamhouse. For this first story, I left the walls as is. I did have a problem with lighting. I need to filter the light to avoid the spotlight. I'll work on that next time. In the meantime, it's the day after Christmas ......
"Good morning, honey. The coffee is ready. Have a seat. I'll bring it over." (Sylvia)
"Thanks" (Christopher)
"Well another Christmas is gone. Every year I say I'm going to get things done early, and I never do." (Sylvia)
"But everything was great. Just like it is every year. Are we going out visiting today?" (Christopher)
"I don't think so. I promised Jessica she could have a couple of friends over later. This morning she is making blueberry muffins for them." (Sylvia)
Sylvia finishes her coffee and heads upstairs to check on the baby and then get dressed. Christopher remains for awhile, then he too goes to get dressed.
After getting dressed, Sylvia checks in on Sophia, again.
She is still sound asleep. All the Christmas festivities must have tuckered her out.
Sylvia heads downstairs to get things prepared for Jessica. She has located the recipe for blueberry muffins.
"Did you wash your face and hands?" (Sylvia)
"Yep." (Jessica)
"Mom, where's the box?" (Jessica)
"What box?" (Sylvia)
"The box of blueberry muffin mix." (Jessica)
"Oh, that box. I thought we would make them from scratch instead of using the box mix." (Sylvia)
"What is scratch?" (Jessica)
"That's when you use the fresh ingredients. It's much healthier for you. I need to get another bowl and the measuring cups. Pour the blueberries in that bowl." (Sylvia)
"Okay. The blueberries are in." (Jessica)
"Good. I have the measuring cups. We will need those in a minute." (Sylvia)
All of a sudden Sylvia can hear Sophia.
"Honeeey? Can you get Sophiaa?" (Sylvia yells upstairs)
"Okay." (Christopher)
Sophia is waiting for someone to come get her.
"Hey pretty girl. You ready to get out of there?" (Dad)
Meanwhile, Jessica has made a lot of progress with her homemade muffin mix.
"Should I add more blueberries, Mom?" (Jessica)
"No. I think you have enough." (Sylvia)
"I think it's done." (Jessica)
"Well grab your muffin pan. I already sprayed it with cooking spray." (Sylvia)
"Good morning, sweetie. You slept a long time." (Sylvia to Sophia)
"Come to Mommy." (Sylvia)
"Dad look. I'm making blueberry muffins without the box." (Jessica)
"That's great. What's next?" (Dad)
"I have to put it in the muffin pan and then it goes in the oven." (Jessica)
"I guess Mommy needs to get you some breakfast." (Sylvia to Sophia)
We will check back on the Redmonds, later. If all goes well, the muffins will be done when we get back. I have to hop over to the Taylor's home now. Today is the day Rod, Danielle, and the kids leave for Florida.
Sylvia looks just like her daddy. Your furniture works well inside this house. I hope Jessica will be showing off some of the presents Santa brought along with serving her friends muffins.
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - Do you mean Jessica looks like her daddy? Christopher is Sylvia's husband. I used the term Dad, when referring to Jessica. Oh boy. I'm sure Jessica will have gifts to show.
DeleteHello from Spain: I like the Sopfia's room. She is an adorable baby. I also I have the same problem with the photo flash and do not know how to fix it. I'm looking forward to seeing Jessica gifts. Your furniture is very nice in that house. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - You have a real soft spot for the babies. I am not using a flash on the pictures. That spotlight is from the lights in the room. I hope to figure it out soon. It's a little distracting.
DeleteHow sweet! The backgrounds actually look better in action then I thought they would. It's good that Jessica's learning how to cook so early!
ReplyDeleteVerona - Thanks. Once I get a handle on the lighting, I will make it look even better. One of my desires is to encourage young girls how to cook. It seems to be a lost art these days.
DeleteAwww that was cute. I can see Christopher asking what scratch is ;-)
ReplyDeleteKenya - Thanks! Scratch seems like a crazy term. Doesn't really seem to fit. I see you are able to get on-line.
DeleteIt is good to see the Redmonds again. They look great in the house too! I love baby in the crib. I can't wait to see Florida too!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - Mr. Redmond has been missing in action. It's nice to get him back into the mix. Would you believe I have yet to open the BIG box? It's sitting in the living room begging to be opened. It will have to wait because another house is coming up from the basement to get some camera time.
DeleteYour furnishings aid to the rooms. Interestingly, the hardwood flooring is very appealing.
ReplyDeleteBacking from scratch seems to have been a rewarding experience for Jessica.
Hope you are able to solve the flash issue.

I have not mastered thumb typing.

DGB - I think real rugs and more furniture will add a coziness to the rooms. I was pressed for time on this story. Us thumb typing a tablet term?
DeleteThumb typing is a Kindle term for me. I love reading on it but replying to emails and making blog comments is a bit cumbersome.

quick question- how old is Jessica?
ReplyDeleteAnd the dreamhouse looks great!
Isabel - Jessica is 10. I'm glad you like the house.
DeleteThe furniture blended in very nicely. That house was a great investment. Just as you said a few familys can share this house by just using different furniture.
ReplyDeleteMustiwait - I'm really excited about the front of the house. Maybe I'll show that when Jessica's friends arrive. Also putting up a fake wall will help me change the background.
DeleteCute story! I love making blueberry muffins from scatch also. I think they taste better too! I love how you organized the house.
ReplyDeletewilliam - Thanks. I love baking from scratch, too. You can really get creative.
DeleteVanessa, I love what you have done with your house. Everything looks great! Sophia is too precious. I love your use of children.
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Girl - My imagination is in overdrive with this house. Can you tell how much I love babies and kids?
DeleteThat house is awesome! Well worth the price and effort. Adding your own furniture just gives it life.
ReplyDeleteMuff - I love this house. There's so much you can do with it. Just adding some real curtains and rugs, etc, are going to make a world of difference. It will be easy to hide the backgrounds that I don't need. The front of the house is my favorite. Can't wait to create a nice yard scene.
