Family Fun Day - Jetskiing!

If you saw my post yesterday, you know that Morristown had Family Fun Day this past Labor Day.  I will post that photostory later today.  After a lot of the activities, some of the residents took to the water on the new jetski.

After the fun these three had mopeding, Faith convinced them to go jetskiing.  They realized they didn't have bathing suits, but they didn't care!

"Faith, aren't you going a little fast?"  (Jasmine)

"You're supposed to go fast."  (Faith)

I now realize that Faith is a little dare devil.

After Diego's win on the basketball court, he and Halle even ventured out on the water.  No real surprise here.  After all he is a motorcycle rider.

"That's it, honey.  Now give it a little more power."  (Diego)

"There you go!"  (Diego)

Finally, Sean, Shannon's dad, took her, Nikaya, and Todd out for a ride.

Tyler was having a great time.

Raven arrived after most of the activities were over.  She had a prior family engagement.  Ian tried to convince her to go jetskiing, but she didn't want any part of it.  So they just took a walk.

"So how was the luncheon?" (Ian)

"It was nice, but I would have rather been here."  (Raven)

"Well, I spent most of the time playing basketball.  We had a 3-on-3 tournament." (Ian)

"Did you win?"  (Raven)

"Did I win?  What kind of question is that?  Don't I always win?"  (Ian)

"Oh boy.  You better kiss me before your head explodes."  (Raven)

[Ian has basketball hair.  LOL!  I need to reflock him. His hair came off when I first got him.  Mattel sent me a refund.  Now that I have flocking material, I will take care of him.]

EPILOGUE

These pictures were taken at my boyfriend's complex.  I was fortunate enough to have the pool all to myself.  I'm sure I was getting some interesting looks from some of those windows as I was doing the photoshoot.  I felt like one of the rap artists who rent out houses with pools, to do music videos. LOL!  

How much do I love you guys and my dolls?  Well, I haven't put on a bathing suit and gotten into an outdoor pool in ......  Let's just say it's been so long that I can't even remember.  The last time I remember being outdoors in a pool, I was about 12 yrs old.  I did swim a few times in the pool at my gym.  That was four years ago.  I must say it felt good being outside in the water.  

The jetski is very nice.  The tube that Todd was riding in has two holes in it.  I had to make sure the tube didn't fill up with water, otherwise it wouldn't float for long.  Todd and I figured it out, though.   It is a wonderful prop.  As you can see, it can hold three adult dolls as well. 

Raven Retreats to the Hotel Lobby

Raven leaves the ballroom without a word to Ian.  She heads to the lobby where she begins texting a couple of her best girlfriends, just to vent.  Bridget is waiting in the lobby for her husband, the chef, who is getting off early for a change.  Mike and Sydney are hanging out.  She's a little cranky due to her tiring day and her refusal to go to sleep.  Ron is working the front desk, due to a staff shortage.

The check in counter happens to be a fireplace turned around backwards.  Originally I had the fireplace in the lobby, but it looked too much like a regular living room.  The little thing I use as the luggage rack and coat rack was found at the thrift store.  I have no idea what it was originally.

"Hello.  I'm Morgan and I have a reservation." 

"Are you here with the modeling agency?" (Ron)

"Yes.  How did you know?" (Morgan)

"Well if you don't mind me saying so, you are stunning." (Ron)

"I don't mind at all.  Thanks." (Morgan)

"What is taking your father so long.  He better not have me waiting here for hours." (Bridget)

"I can't believe him.  He apparently doesn't know who he's dealing with.  Doesn't he know how many men are dying to date me?  And I'm supposed to sit back while he plays around with some other chick.  She ain't even cute!  I am not the one!  Jerk!" (This conversation is only happening in Raven's head)

"Oh Adele.  You have a lot of making up to do.  I'm here in town and you are playing hostess all day.  Your priorities are a little out of order." (Another conversation happening only in Mike's head)

"Okay. So I have you here for 3 days, 2 nights.  One king bed on the fourth floor."  (Ron)

"Will you need one key or two?" (Ron)

"One will be fine.  Is there a nice restaurant nearby?" (Morgan)

"We have a nice restaurant here in the hotel, and there are a number of other restaurants and shops near the water." (Ron)

"Awww.  Isn't that adorable. See that's what I need.  A more mature man. I keep messing with these little boys." 

"I'll have someone bring your bags up shortly.  Any thing else I can do for you?" (Ron)

"No.  That should do it." (Morgan)

"Where do you think you're going carrot top?" (Bridget)

Trouble in Paradise (New Video)

Wow, I got this video done in record time.  On top of that, I uploaded it from my former real estate office and it took all of 2 minutes to download versus the normal 2 hours.  Needless to say, I was more than elated.  I can now spend the rest of the weekend catching up.  Hope you enjoy!

Meanwhile, later back at the Salon.... (Photo Story)

Right after shooting the video two days ago, my new beauty salon stuff showed up in the mail.  Talk about perfect timing.  Of course, I wasn't expecting to put together a new salon so quickly.  The salon has moved to a new location.  I cleared off a table, brought up some shelving from the basement, and pieced together some walls.  The walls will look much better once I add lots of hair stylist pictures. The table will have magazines, of course.  I also have a lot more accessories to add.  This is just my quick and dirty.  Right below this is where I am building the grocery store.

In this story, it is the end of the day at the salon.  The other stylist has left for the day.  Kara is finally getting around to washing her daughter's hair.  (When I made mention of this in the last video, I had no idea that I would actually be showing it).  Kara's friend Tanisha, has stopped by to shoot the breeze.  The two shampooers are still there, just relaxing.

 

"So are you going to be able to go out tonight?"

"Girl, I keep telling you I have a husband and a child.  I can't just go out with you everytime you get the urge."

"We would go hang out with you tonight, but we both have dates." (Raven)

"Rub it in, why don't you."  (Tanisha)

 

"Mommy, the water's too hot."

"I'm sorry honey.

"We need to help you find a man."
"All the good men in Morristown are taken."

"So what time is Ian coming to pick you up?"
"Not until 9 o'clock." (Raven)
"We should probably get going .  You know it takes you forever to get ready."
"Not all of us have that 'get up and go hair'.  Some of us actually have to use a comb." (Raven)

"Any time you want 'get up and go' hair.  Let me know.  I can definitely hook you up."

"You doing okay, sweetie."
"Yes, but is it almost over?"
"Almost. I'm on the final rinse."

"Ian likes running his fingers through my hair without all the braids getting in the way."

Ian (Denim #17) needs your help picking a girlfriend

Ian didn't waste any time!  He has gone out on several dates since arriving to town.  He, however, likes his life simple, so he is looking to narrow it down to one girl.  He was able to get it down to just two, but now he needs your help.  He likes them both equally and just can't seem to make a decision

First up is Raven.  She's a 20 yr old local college student studying International Affairs.

Second is Olivia. She is Leslie's sister-in-law.  She's 22 yrs old and works as a Paralegal.
