Chow time! All the guests have fixed their plates and have settled down to eat.
I'm not sure if we should read anything into Valencia not sitting next to Ian. Maybe the blanket and grass were itchy.
Kobe and Sharmaine are deep in conversation.
Roberta, JT, and the kids are eating at the picnic table.
"Fabulous job on the grill. I think you impressed Rod. He's not known for handing over his grill." (Roberta)
"Thanks." (JT)
"You ready?" (Rod)
"I'm more than ready." (Danielle)
A quick kiss and they return to the group.
"Hey guys. Hope you are enjoying the food. JT did a fabulous job. (applause from the group) We just wanted to say thanks to everyone for joining us today. We felt the picnic was a great way to welcome Mommy to town and a good way to get to know JT." (Danielle)
.
"JT, I have to admit, I was not totally excited when Mommy told us about you, but after today, I am a fan. I think Mommy is in good hands." (Danielle)
"Thanks for making me feel right at home." (JT)
"Rod and I also thought since most of the family is here, this would be a good time to share some news." (Danielle)
"We're moving!" (Danielle)
"You're not moving out of town, are you?" (Roberta)
"No, we're moving to a bigger house right here in town." (Danielle)
"And the reason we're moving is because we are expecting." (Danielle)
"Expecting! You're having a baby?" (Roberta)
"Oh my goodness. I'm so excited for you. How far along are you?" (Roberta)
"Three months." (Danielle)
"Three months? How did you ever keep this from me?" (Roberta pulling Danielle in close for a hug)
"No offense Mom, but you are not the best at keeping a secret. The whole town would have known before I had time to tell the family." (Danielle)
"Ooo wee. Wait til the ladies hear this." (Roberta)
"My point exactly." (Danielle, laughing)
So the time has finally arrived. Danielle and Rod are having a baby together. Yay! I know you are all very excited. So I have six months to find the perfect baby. Someone should tell Danielle being pregnant and moving are not a great combination. Hopefully, they will be moving sooner, rather than later. Would you like to see their house?
Yep, they will be the proud new owners of the Country Estate. I'm a little afraid of this house. I think it is going to be much bigger than it looks here.
Really GREAT news.... That was a good turn of events, U came up with a great story towards the end of this epi..... SURPRISE!!!!!!!! :) I AM surprised, but wanted this to be
ReplyDeleteLadonna - Surprised me, too. When I saw that house months ago, that was the first time Danielle even considered having another child. She and I had already fantasized about who would have what room. She got excited about the baby room.
DeleteYay, a new baby for Danielle and Rod! This will be interesting. Love the new house for them! I have been eyeing this one too, so can't wait to see what you think of it! About Valencia not sitting next to Ian -- maybe she just wanted to look into those big brown eyes!
ReplyDeletePhyllis - I will give the 411 on the house once it arrives and I get it put together. After seeing Ian leaned up against Valencia later, I felt that things were just fine. Time will tell.
DeleteWoo hoo! I love baby stories. I'll send a shower gift. LOL I'm glad to see that the happy couple got the BIG house. Egg on Melanie's face. But moving while prehospital....I'm tired for her!! Awesome
ReplyDeleteThat's pregnant...what is prehospital?!?! Darn corrective thing
DeleteBrenova - Auto correct is a pain! I can imagine Melanie will NOT be happy to hear Danielle is pregnant. And to find out they got the biggest house available. OH, the ish is going to hit the fan!

DeleteYay! A baby for Danielle and Rod! Cool. And a move ... wow. Love the look of the new place.
ReplyDeleteI like how they introduced the news.
D7ana - They negotiated the house down to something I was willing to pay. It was nice having all of her family there to share the news. Now she gets to break it to her friends.
DeleteWow,a baby! When Rod asked Danielle is she ready I knew that they are going to have a baby.I am really happy and I can't wait to see the new baby.
ReplyDeleteMy doll stuff - I think they tried to throw everyone off by mentioning the move first. They are uber excited!
DeleteI look forward to reading about the move into the new house, seeing how it is decorated, keeping up with Danielle's pregnancy, and finding out how evil Melanie will feel about Danielle and Rod having a baby. I know she will have something negative to say and/or do. People like her derive pleasure from making others miserable.

DBG - Danielle wished you lived closer. She has a feeling the builders are going to need a little assistance with this one. I have first hand experience about how Melanie will handle the news. She may actually take it to another level.
DeleteHi there! I am a follower of your blog and your stories, although I never post because I never know what to say... I would like to ask you for advice, if it's okay to you, since you are a big AA dolls expert. I have a So In Style Prom Trichelle that I want to make articulated. However, I am worried about matching the skin tone. Do you know which is the closest one of the Fashionistas or Barbie Style dolls?
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton.
Moonlight - Hello and thanks for being a follower. I am now a follower of your blog. I can tell from the little I've seen so far that you are a fashionista. I look forward to catching up on posts. As for your Trichelle. I don't have that particular doll, but if the skin tone is like the rest of the Trichelles, The Artsy or Desiree old articulated fashionista dolls should work. That is what my Trichelle is on. Barbie Style will probably work, too. I would take the doll with you to the store and get a visual since the Barbie Styles are still in some of the stores. Good luck. I wouldn't worry too much if it's not a perfect match. In real life some AA faces are shades different than their bodies.
DeleteSo let me tell you about my up, down, up. I knew from the post it was exciting news. When Danielle said something to Rod, I figured she was pregnant - the up.
ReplyDeleteThen they said they were moving - the down - because I was obviously wrong. Moving is nice, but I thought it was a baby.
Then they said the reason for the move...new baby - back up again! YAY!
Janainah - That is hilarious! That's why they mentioned the move first. They figured people would be waiting for baby news.
DeleteI'm happy for Danielle that house looks huge I can't wait to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteMustiwait - The two houses I have up already are half that size and they are big to me. Country estate is going to be a monster. I can already tell.
DeleteI suspected that Danielle was pregnant (in the beginning of this story). Goo goo babyface (baby talk).
ReplyDeletedrupay - Your baby talk had me literally laughing out loud. Too funny.
DeleteYes I am so excited. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteAngelia - Lots of people have been waiting. So they figured the news would be well received.
DeleteGreat surprise never expected it !!!
ReplyDeleteChristina - They needed the house before they could expand their family, so it all fell into place. They are really excited.
DeleteCongrats to Rod and Danielle on having their first child together! And that country estate is perfect for their extended family. I'm so happy for them! :-)
ReplyDeleteCindi - Thanks! They are excited. Julian said he's hoping for a little sister. Country estate is going to give me the push I need to get my basement in order.
DeleteYay.Baby bump time.I Wonder how Rod's going to treat Danielle through out the pregnancy.Probably won't let her get into anything or do anything for herself outta caution.
ReplyDeleteVal - I'm hoping to make her some cute maternity clothes. We shall see. Maybe we should ask Melanie how Rod was during her pregnancy. Just kidding!
DeleteQue buena noticia,un nuevo bebé!!!! Y la elección de la nueva casa es fantástica!!!!
ReplyDeleteBesos.
PILAR - Yes a new baby! I'm sure the news will spread fast around town.
DeleteMiss Vanessa...I am very excited for the pregnancy but I am ecstatic!!! about this house, lol. I can not wait to see it! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats...major fabulous purchase.
Tracy - I'm excited about this house, too! Usually these houses are bigger in person than in the pictures. I will have to customize this one to fit this growing family.
DeleteWonderful story Vanessa!!!! And I love this final twist (I could see Roberta sweating: moving out of town now I'm back with you and I'm planning to settle with this hunk of a man????)...
ReplyDeleteThe country house is awesome
billa - Thanks! That would have been awful if they were moving out of town. Roberta would have been heartbroken. Instead she's getting a new grandchild.
DeleteCongratulations!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you for being the builder of the new home (lol), for the new bundle of joy, and just because that house is so darn nice!!! It is like a dream come true. I can already see how nice you are going to make it! They are a very lucky couple to be able to get it. Yay!!! huge :-)
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Girl - Thanks. You know what I say....YOLO! Might as well do it with nice KidKraft homes. LOL! I have to hurry and get the other one I just bought put together before this monster arrives.
Deletehello Vanessa, I am so happy that Danielle and Rod are having a baby, and the gorgeous house they are getting that is so wonderful, I thought of Nicole's mother, she will be a raging fiery bull- I guess lol, youre an epic blogger keep up the great stories Yayyyyy!!!
ReplyDeleteDolls will be Dolls - Thanks so much! I know a lot of people have been waiting for this day. I wasn't sure they would ever have another child. I'm glad they are taking the plunge. It will be interesting to see Melanie's reaction.
DeleteYoure welcome, I see many of us wanted them to have a baby, and here it is :-) it will all be worth it in the end, new house and new baby, and Melanie, may not be so happy with this news-if she is a good sport, she'd wish them well :-)
DeleteWhat a wonderful surprise ending to this series of stories! I am delighted for them. Buying a house with a baby on the way is stressful. I know from experience. But as long as they are settled in before Danielle's nesting phase begins, she'll be fine. Gotta admit I can't wait to see Melanie's reaction to this news.
ReplyDeleteJewell - They are very lucky they found a new house, otherwise, I don't know if they would be adding to their family. They just didn't have any more room in their current home. The builder (me) is not really looking forward to putting this home together. I will probably have to hire help (my 7 yr old neighbor) to give me a hand with the lifting.
DeleteYay! Finally a new baby!! I'm so happy for them! I have been waiting for this ever since the wedding!
ReplyDeletecoolsinger - Yay! I knew you guys would be excited. You and countless others have been waiting for this day.
DeleteMy favorite couple is having a baby! I remember when they met so long ago, which was my first introduction to your videos and then to your blog. Good times!
ReplyDeleteMuff - Seems like only yesterday that they were at that beach house together. Where does the time go?
DeleteOh I am very excited! I am so behind on what's happening in Morristown I just scrolled and picked a title! When I saw news at the park I wondered if Danielle was pregnant! Sweet!
ReplyDeleteKenya - Yes a baby is what everyone has been waiting for. They are in the process of getting the new house together. She wants to be all moved in before the baby comes.
