In real life, my hips can't handle this much chocolate icing. But in dolly world, bring on the chocolate!
I wouldn't give you a partially eaten cake. You also get the two cut out slices on ceramic plates.
Jacquelyn and Grace were my chocolate cake taste testers.
There is also lemon meringue pie slices in the Etsy store, too.
The taste testers sampled those earlier. Lucky for them they can't gain any weight! Oh I wonder what that would be like.
OK, at first I thought this was a picture from one of the recipe blogs I follow. MMM...Chocolate! Then I saw it was you and I said "What???" Then I said well Vanessa can cook so maybe she is sharing one of her favorite recipes. Then I read it was for dolls. Darn and I was already for some chocolate cake! You can't do that to me! I love cake too much for that.
ReplyDeleteSo, it is a great looking cake! Maybe my dolls might like it. I going to have to put some shoes on now and go out to the store. See what you did!
Ms. Leo - I expected D7ana to have to make a store run, but I didn't expect that from you. I've been trying to stick my finger in the chocolate ever since I made it. Luckily, there is some real icing in the cupboard. I may have to indulge before the night is over. Enjoy your late night treat!
DeleteOh my goodness, my mouth is watering!!! Amazing work!
ReplyDeleteVita Plasica - Thanks! Hopefully you have something good over there to snack on.
DeleteMy blood sugar is spiking just looking at that! If I cant have it, neither can my dolls, hrmph!
ReplyDeleteThey can look at the photos and drool though.
Muff - You really are mean to your dollies. You better sleep with one eye open.
DeleteThat looks delicious! Definitely thought it was real at first.
ReplyDeleteAlura - Thanks! Oh how I wish it were real. I sure could eat a slice tonight.
DeleteOMG! I thought you started a food blog. It's that real.
ReplyDeleteNiel - Thanks! Your comment just sent me over the chocolate edge and I dipped into the real chocolate icing in my cupboard. I was so close to making it tonight without indulging. But it sure did taste good.
Deletethis cake looks simply wonderful! it's so realistic that I had to eat some cookies at 5am , haha.
ReplyDeletejewel snake - Thanks. I was eating chocolate frosting at 11pm, so I completely understand.
DeleteWow, awesome job Vanessa! I thought it was real and that this was going to be non doll related post. I can't buy right now, but OMG it looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteGeorgia Girl - Thanks! Treat yourself to some cake today.
DeleteOMG I thought it was real at first, you have done a great job!!! I am from India, shipping cost must be more than the price of the cake, otherwise I would have surely ordered for it!!!
ReplyDeletePam - Hello. So nice to hear that you live in India. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I was curious as to shipping costs to India, because I've never shipped to India before. Turns out shipping is about $5. Glad you enjoyed the cake!
DeleteThat looks fantastic. I was scrolling through blog posts to catch up with the Family Fun day but got totally sidetracked by the chocolate cake. It looks super-tempting and calorie laden (and according to Marta, Barbie can gain weight).
ReplyDeleteCarrickters - Thanks. The cake distracted me, too. As you can see, I didn't get the Family Fun story posted yet. I guess Barbie can gain weight when you body swap from a Model Muse body to a belly button body. LOL!
DeleteMe wants some chocolate cake!!! I make the coffee :)
ReplyDeleteSergio - You bring the coffee and I will definitely share the cake! I'm waiting...
DeleteMmmmm!!! Buonissima!!! Per me due fette grandi!!! :) ..
ReplyDeleteBravissima!!!

ReplyDeletejassica - Thanks. Glad you are enjoying family fun day, too. The final post will be up today. Don't eat too much chocolate today. LOL!
Deletewow, I love how you did the icing! So very realistic!
ReplyDeleteLisa - Thanks! I was surprised how it turned out. Sometimes you never know what is going to come out of the oven.
DeleteAll of the Neemos scream, "YES PLEASE!" 0_0
ReplyDeleteVanessa is great, she gave us chocolate cake! (If you've ever seen the old Bill Cosby skit, you're singing that sentence)
Heather - I thought I had seen all the Cosby episodes, but I can't remember that one. Glad the Neemos are happy.
DeleteI love chocolate cake! It's my favorit dessert. Thank you Vanessa to thinks of us.
ReplyDeleteShasarignis - I always think of my dear friends. Have some chocolate cake on me, today.
DeleteThat's not real? Wow. It looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteKenya - Nope, not real unless you live in the plastic world. My dolls tell me that it is really good. I have to take their word for it.
DeleteI want the real recipe! This cake is too delicious looking. What a great job you did on this. You do such great work. I wish I was a doll so I could have a slice to eat.
ReplyDeleteVals Joy - You just think you want the real recipe. This one is much healthier for you.
DeleteMmmm looks delicious, just like the type my Mom makes!
ReplyDeleteIsabel - Thanks. Lucky you to have a mom that bakes. My mom is a baker, too. I indulged in chocolate pound cake just last week.
DeleteWow! These cakes are so tempting! Mouthwatering!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Drora
Hello Drora! Thanks for the wonderful comments and for visiting. Now go find yourself some chocolate.
DeleteHugs.
Hello from Spain: this cake is very appetizing. I agree with you that in my real life would not eat because everything makes me fat but dolly’s world I could eat a big piece. How lucky about Grace and Jacquelyn foods they can eat and not get fat .... great job ... keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Thanks. Our dollies are really lucky. I wonder if they know how lucky they are?
DeleteThe cake looks delicious! Amazing detail.
ReplyDeleteAdrian - Thanks! Nice to see you are back. Actually I don't think you were gone, I just didn't know about the name change until recently. Great name by the way.
DeleteOMG! I would definitely have one 1/1 size right now! I looks sooooo real!
ReplyDeleteRossetti - This cake is so much healthier for you. LOL!
DeleteJust recovered from mental sugar overload: had to "get" chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. No, wait ... needed devil's food cake with chocolate fudge frosting ... yes! Eyelids flutter at the thought.
ReplyDeleteOkay, you must have seen the photos on my Pinterest food board.
Duncan Hines, Betty Crocker, and Pillsbury should be after you to be their next food photographer.
Just want to warn you that some of my folks will be leaving on a midnight train to Georgia. They're going to seek out Morrisville. They want the chocolate cake. Some of them want the lemon meringue pie, too. (I'm for both, too ;-D) They'll be the figures with the glazed eyes and the hands outstretched to receive cake. Please send them back. They are counting on Southern hospitality. That means cake and pie and chilled full fat milk and or expresso depending on the time of day and the temperature.
Sigh. They want to relive the wedding fun.
D7ana - We can both work for those companies. They should be after you to do all the food write ups. You describe food like no one I've ever seen before. I didn't see your food board. I'm trying to spend a little more time on Pinterest, so I will take a look.
DeleteI don't have to worry about your dolls. They are headed to Morrisville, and we live in Morristown. I think Morrisville is about 30 miles South of here. Hope someone points them in the right direction. I will treat them well if they ever arrive. LOL!
I will even send them back with a copy of the wedding video.
