Dasia Goes Wading

Finally someone is using the new pool in the Uptown KidKraft house, and it's Dasia!  I'm in the process of designing a line of swimwear for her.  So far I've tinkered with three different designs.  I have at least ten more in my head, but I will do one more, then start on a few cover ups.

Her halter top animal print suit.  I'm thinking of making the straps much thinner.  She remembered to turn off the fireplace in this picture.  She forgot to do that in subsequent pictures.

A back view.

Her one shoulder purple suit.

Her black basic deep vee suit.  I have a couple more black suits planned that are a little riskier.  I also have a cute cover up already in the works.

P.S. Tonight/this morning I put a small dent in my blog reading catch up.  I have a serious case of insomnia.....again, and instead of crocheting, I decided to see what my fellow bloggers are doing.  I will continue to play catchup over the next week.

  1. I think my favorite is the animal print. The black is very flattering on her figure. The one shoulder purple would be awesome as a dress knee or ankle length!

  3. That black suit is so classy. It has that expensive designer resort-wear look. My favorite is the animal print. I have a polka dot swimsuit in that exact style.

    1. Jewell - Thanks. I'm going to be offering that black one two ways. As shown above and with side cutouts. Hmmm...polka dot. That would look nice on Dasia, too.

    1. monstercrafts - That animal print one seems to be very popular. I have to develop some clothes for Lammily. Then I promised to make a few 16" clothes. Who knows, I may get inspired to make some curvy doll clothes.

  5. Wow Vanessa, Dasia looks great in all of these looks. The first one (leopard spots) is my favorite. My girls are jealous of Dasia's swimming pool (even though they wouldn't think of getting wet)!

    1. april - Thanks. My ladies love taking a dip in the pool. They have had several pool parties over the years. Halle and Diego even went jet skiing in the ocean (neighborhood pool). Lol.

  6. All of the suits are nice. You are so talented. I keep thinking I'd like a pool too, but I think I'd have to make it in ground (or look in ground). Dasia continues to be the envy of all with her wardrobe.

    1. Janainah - Thanks! We have several pools over here. It might be time for another neighborhood pool party since Dasia has new swimsuits.

    1. Georgia Girl - Thanks! Yes, I remember you are the animal print lady. I'm going to be offering the black one with side cutouts, too, for those that want to be a little sexier. Now that I can crochet and knit, I will accept the Jill of all trades compliment. Lol. That is not Dasia's house. She is visiting a friend.

    1. Christian Lady - Thanks! A few blogs that focus primarily on stories are,
Doll-lightful, OneSixthAvenue, The Waverlys, Living My Doll Life, and Roville. Just search these titles to find their blogs. Roville's blog doesn't have her stories, but you can contact her on her blog and ask to be included on her story email. Shasarignis has some doll videos. Check out the blog to get a link to the stories. One more that is Moreville Life and Times. I'm sure I've forgotten a few, but that's a good start.

    1. Kenya - Thanks! I spent the last couple of days making swimsuits for orders that came in. The leopard is the most popular one. I'm even lining them like real swimsuits. Lol.
