Prettie Girls and Chelsea's House
My Prettie Girls arrived yesterday. I am so in love with these ladies. I like them even more in person. I will definitely be adding Dahlia and Kimani to my collection.
Here is Lena. I was concerned from seeing other pictures of her, that her arms stuck out too far from her body. It's not as bad as it appeared in the pictures.
I told Roville that I would review the clothing. Although the material is quite thin, the clothing is made very well. I'm showing the top stitching here, which is impeccable.
On the inside you can see that the pieces aren't lined, but again the stitching is well done. The enclosures are all velcro, but nicely done.
I think I finally found a mommy for this little guy. I'm thinking about pairing her with Grant Hill, the basketball player below. I have to check out their chemistry first. Lena and Angelica have connected as young mothers, and they plan to get together and let the kids have play dates. By the way, this is not Lena's son's nursery. She is sitting in a girl's nursery because I just took pictures and listed a new crib in my Etsy shop.
Here's Valencia. She's the athletic Prettie Girl. I wasn't planning to get her, but the price was too good to pass her up.
The back of the boxes give more detailed information about each girl.
Love her! I'm so happy I got her. I connected with her immediately.
I also noticed that her facial screening on her lips is different than that of Lena. That was good to see. Her upper lip is much thinner.
The jean vest is a separate piece.
To see a nice, detailed review of the Prettie Girls, I'm directing you to the blog, Black Doll Collecting.
I bought the new Chelsea Clubhouse earlier this week. I forgot to show pictures in the previous post. I bought mine on-line at Walmrt.com for $15. I think they are $18 and up in the stores. I've noticed there are quite a few items on-line at Walmart that are cheaper than what you can buy at the store. This is my second time getting an item cheaper. It won't be the last.
It's just so cute! Goodness knows I didn't need this, but it's not often that Mattel comes out with things like this. My kids are going to love it.
