The first picture was taken in total darkness, with only the lit lamp providing light. I didn't realize it was blurry until later. I kept the picture because this is the first time I'm using this lamp, which is part of one of the Gloria playsets I purchased off of ebay.
Keith is watching a little t.v. and waiting for Vanessa to return home from the parent-teacher conference. Alicia has fallen asleep in his arms.
The hallway light comes on as Vanessa enters the house.
"Hello Brucey, Brucey." (Vanessa)
"Hey" (Keith)
"Hey, honey. How was everything?" (Vanessa)
"Just fine." (Keith)
Vanessa turns on the light and gives Keith a hello kiss.
"Awww, how long has she been asleep?" (Vanessa)
"About 15 minutes. I was getting ready to go put her down." (Keith)
"How was the conference?" (Keith)
"Well let me get off my feet, first and I will tell you." (Vanessa)
"Well, I had a one-on-one meeting with the teacher before the other parents arrived. She's a little concerned because all of a sudden Tyler's grades are starting to slip." (Vanessa)
"What?? That's strange." (Keith)
"I know. I haven't seen any bad grades, so apparently, he's not showing them to us." (Vanessa)
"Tyler! Come here, please." (Keith)
"Awww, mommy's angel is knocked out." (Vanessa)
"What are you watching?" (Vanessa)
"Animal Kingdom." (Keith)
"Yes, dad? Hi, mom." (Tyler)
"Hi, Tyler. Come give me my hug." (Vanessa)
"You know I just had a talk with your teacher." (Vanessa)
Silence.
"You know she had a lot to say about your schoolwork." (Vanessa)
Silence.
"Son, do you hear your mother talking to you? (pause) And you need to stop coddling him." (Keith)
"I'm not coddling him. I just want him to know that I'm here for him." (Vanessa)
"Well I think you are coddling him. I'm going to put Alicia down, and I'm coming back. I expect some answers, young man, or you and I are going to have problems.
TO BE CONTINUED...
Ut ohhhh! Loving that living room. Looking for battery fun lamps. I will have to try that out!
ReplyDeleteGrandmommy - Thanks. Ut ohhhh is right! We will have to see how this all plays out.
DeleteLove your set up. I mean the living room arrangement.
ReplyDeleteWhen Brucey went to meet Vanessa, I thought he was a cat. I was all ... awww .... Still I liked that touch. Even if it was a dog and not a cat ;-)
I look forward to finding out what Tyler will say. Hiding the grades was not a good strategy, but he probably knows that now.
D7ana - Thanks. Vanessa doesn't mind cats, but she had one once, and the cat hair was a deterrent to her getting another one. We are all wondering what Tyler has to say.
DeleteThis looks so real! Great job on their living room. I love the 3D effect.
ReplyDeleteTyler's butt would have been tapped on sight in my household. Lol! My Mother didn't play about that school work. Lol! I can't wait to hear what his excuse will be.
Georgia Girl - Thanks. Wow, you are tough. Vanessa believes in hearing the poor child out. She doesn't want to overreact in case it's something serious. Keith, on the other hand, feels like you do.
DeleteOMG you hit the hammer on the head of a nail! That is exactly how my husband and I would have reacted to that situation.
ReplyDeleteAG Lanc - LOL! It's not uncommon for the mom to want to soothe and appease and the dad wants to 'treat him like a man'. I've had similar interactions with my stepsons and their father. That's why it's so important for kids to have two parents. There needs to be some balance.
DeleteOh, snap! Looks like we are about to go from family meeting to go and get me my belt, lol. Keith is strict. Vanessa cant even get in a mom snuggle before the law gets laid down.
ReplyDeleteLoving that living room and I really like the behind the sofa point of view.
Muff - Thanks. Chances are Keith will be bringing a belt back with him I don't know for sure, but he had that 'let me go get my belt', attitude about him.
DeleteLooks like Tyler is in trouble!
ReplyDeleteV. - Looks that way. Maybe he can get himself out of trouble unscathed.
DeleteOh man!!! Layin' down the law!
ReplyDeleteI loooooove their living room :)
Heather - Thanks. Dad definitely believes in laying down the law. So does Vanessa, but her laws a little more lenient.
DeleteVery nice living room! I'm feeling sorry for Tyler already.
ReplyDeleteRoxanne - Thanks. Keith told me to tell you, 'Stop feeling sorry for him. That's his problem." Please forgive him. He's still a little heated.
DeleteHello from Spain: I really like the dress that Vanessa wears. Great decoration. Tyler is very cute but he needs to study more. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteMarta - Thanks. Maybe Tyler has a very good reason. We will have to wait and see.
DeleteI hear the wood shed calling! Hiding that he hadn't turned in homework too! Mmmm, Mmmm, Mm! I hope his room is how he like it!
ReplyDeleteMs. Leo - Oh no! Not the wood shed. Now you know Keith is going to strip that room down.
DeleteUh oh! I feel so sorry for Tyler. I'm curious to find out what he's going to tell his parents about his homework and his grades. :-)
ReplyDeleteCindi - I feel sorry for him too, Hopefully he has an explanation that will help him get out of this mess.
DeleteUh oh... sounds like Tyler has some 'splaining to do.
ReplyDeleteThe Gloria lamp is nice and the other decor, as usually, is too.
dbg
DBG - Yes, indeedy. I hope he has something profound to say when his dad returns, or we may witness the first Morristown whipping.
DeleteThis living room is very realistic, I love it!! I think they´ll have a long conversation with Tyler...
ReplyDeleteC'est magnifique Vanessa ! comme toujours ... merci d'être la seule à avoir un commentaire sur ma nouvelle vidéo !
ReplyDelete1000 merci !
Really weird, I could've sworn I commented yesterday. Anyway, love their home. I hope dad goes easy on Tyler
ReplyDeleteUh, oh........Tyler better make sure his room is well supplied .......tv, , x-box, laptop. lol
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa! What a great parlor uuu. The lamp gives a very warm light, your photos look gorgeous. And Tyler great. A kiss
ReplyDeleteI love all your 1:6 scale furniture are very realistic, just like all the scenes and pictures, you bring out the best of your dolls, you always make a great job! Congrats! Let us hope that Tyler be honest with his parents and improves in school. Greetings!
ReplyDeleteEs una hermosa habitacion, una escena muy real, alumbra mucho la lampara, bonitas fotos.
ReplyDeleteteehee I think I can relate to this story... need to do as much reviews with my son every night to get those grades climbing back up...
ReplyDeleteGiggling because I already saw a snapshot of what's coming.
ReplyDeleteHmm, this will be interesting. I hope Keith listens to Tyler before he does anything - it's always better to know the full story. And it is good to see Bruce in 1:6 form.
ReplyDeleteJust curious if you already had to whole story in mind when you had the parent teacher conference. Girl you got me - I didn't see that coming.
