Mike and Adele are Headed to Town (Photostory)

Mike and Adele are finally headed back to Morristown.  They have finalized all their business, packed up their belongings, and said goodbye to their friends and family.   They are driving Adele's car, which is packed with enough clothes to hold them until the movers arrive in two days.

Music is blaring from the car stereo as they head down the highway.  Sydney loves music and this always makes car travel with her a little easier.

It's been about 3 hours since they left their old home.  A relatively uneventful trip except for a few crazy bike riders who decided to whiz by doing no less than 90 - 100 miles an hour.
"Honey, do you mind rubbing my neck?"  (Mike)

"Sure.  How's that?"  (Adele)
"Hmmm.  That feels good."  (Mike)
Whining sounds from the back interrupt Mike's neck massage.

"Now what?  Are you making a fuss for a reason?"  (Adele)
Sydney has started whining and seems to be on the verge of crying.

"I know.  You're tired of being in that seat.  Hold on, we'll be stopping soon.  Where's your juice?" (Adele)
Adele spots the cup on the floor.  There is a little juice left.  Hopefully enough to get them to their next stop.

"There you go.  Drink your juice.  Mommy will get you out soon."  (Adele)

"So, I guess we should stop for a bite to eat.  What would you like?"  (Mike)
"I know you want MickeyD's, so we can stop there this time."  (Adele)

"Look, there's a McDonalds at the next exit."  (Adele)

They take the next exit and arrive at McDonald's.  Mike has this thing about not parking near other cars, so he heads to the opposite side of the parking lot.

"Did you want me to bring her cup?"  (Mike)

"No.  There's probably nothing in her cup.  I'll fill it up when we get back to the car."  (Adele)

"I almost forgot.  I need to grab a diaper."  (Adele)

"Welcome to McDonald's.  What can I get you, today?"  (Worker)

"I'll have a 6-piece nuggets, a large fry, and a strawberry shake."  (Adele)
"For you, sir?"  (Worker)
"I'll take a number 3, but I'd like to upgrade the drink to a chocolate shake."  (Mike)

The restaurant is pretty crowded, but Mike and Adele are able to get a booth.

"Feels a little sad leaving Chicago."  (Adele)

"I know, but it's a great opportunity and Northern Virginia is a really nice area."  (Mike)
"Having my sister there will be a big help with the transition.  I wonder how she and Mark are making out.  I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to check on her."  (Adele)

"Is it good?  No wonder you were fussing.  You were hungry."  (Adele)

The Jordans hit the road again, after finishing their lunch and a quick diaper change for Sydney.  They should be arriving in Morristown soon.

Adele Does Fendi

So I finally caved on one of the La Boutique Handbags.  There have been quite a few bags over the past year that I ALMOST bought.  Well, when this Fendi Zucca bag showed up as the September Purse of the Month, I immediately sent an email requesting one.  Well it arrived a couple of days ago and we just love it!

Our dear friend Adele has claimed it.  She, Mike and the baby are still in Chicago.  I now know why.  She is having way too much fun up there shopping.  With all the new clothes and accessories she is acquiring, I would stay there, too.

The bag is very well made.

A view from the back.

It does open and there's plenty of room to put things.

Now Adele is requesting a new outfit to go with her new Fendi handbag.  I had to remind her that she is already sporting a new brown skirt.

I guess I will make her something worthy of her new handbag.  I just hope she doesn't get hooked on these La Boutique bags or else she will need a second job.

A New Suit and The Rocking Horse

Adele and Mike are due back soon.  They just recently closed on their house in Chicago.  They should be arriving in town within the next two weeks.  In the midst of packing and house closing, Adele squeezed in a little shopping.  She needed a few more items for her teacher job.

The Insomnia line is growing.  Throughout the night, I managed to sew Adele a three piece outfit.

I am not calling it a suit because I made the jacket bigger than a suit jacket.  I will make another suit jacket and use this jacket with some jeans.  For now, it will work just fine with her skirt.

I made a cute little wrap blouse.  The sleeves are 3/4 length on Adele because I used my fashionista doll to measure the sleeves.  Ooops.  It still works.

If you recall, I made a skirt from this fabric a couple of months ago.  I thought about using it with the jacket and shirt, but decided to whip up a new skirt instead.  Shocked me, too.  I like the design of this skirt better than the other one.

I'm thinking about adding a belt to this jacket.

I'm feeling like my sewing mojo is slowly coming back.

I finished the wooden rocker a little while ago and listed it in the store yesterday.   It is made of oak and has a light mahogany finish.  It fits just about every toddler doll Mattel has made.  I am working on a new crib which I hope to have done by the weekend.

The girls really want Shay to get out of the rocker so they can ride.

Let's Go To Chicago (Photostory)

Boarding for Flight 708 to Chicago is underway.  Mike and Adele are already seated in First Class.

"Honey, we should have gotten a seat for Sydney."  (Adele)
"Well it was either fly First Class with two seats, or Coach with three seats.  It's only an hour flight."  (Mike)

"Hello, welcome aboard."  (Stewardess)

"I just love a man in uniform"  (Saba, the stylist)

Kyori peers around trying to get a better look.

"Hello."  (Stewardess)

"We should be near here, right?"  (Kyori)

"No.  This is First Class.  We are in Business Class.  Keep going."  (Saba)

"It was really good to see Mark, again.  Those girls really missed him." (Adele)
"What happened with them?  Seems like they were happy one minute, and the next minute she was leaving town for good."  (Mike)
"They had been having problems for awhile.  They just kept it under wraps."  (Adele)

"From what my sister told me, there was some crazed ex-girlfriend, who showed up and started wreaking havoc in their life.  She started telling everyone that she and Mark were back together and that she was carrying his child.  All kinds of craziness.  Of course he denied it."  (Adele)
"Well, maybe Linda should have believed him.  You ladies are so quick to believe some lunatic over the man you love."  (Mike)

"Well that's because half the time YOU guys are out there doing the wrong thing.  He should have 'manned up', and nipped that in the bud.   You hear that stuff often enough, it's hard not to believe it.  Then you start second guessing yourself and the whole relationship.  Mark may not have done all that woman claimed, but I bet he did something he wasn't supposed to."  (Adele)
"Well...."  (Mike)

"Little Missy, get out of my purse.  What are you looking for?  Sorry, you can not play with my phone."  (Adele)

"Can I get you something to drink?"  (Stewardess)
"Not right now.  Thanks."  (Mike)

"Good evening, Mr. Reid."  (Stewardess)

"Hello, Marilyn."  (Darius)

"She will not let go of my phone."  (Adele)
"She got her stubbornness from you."  (Mike)

"How are you guys doing this evening?"  (Darius)

"Hello.  Just fine."  (Mike and Adele)
They quickly introduce themselves.

"I hope you don't mind traveling with a toddler today."  (Adele)

"Not at all.  I love kids, but I don't get to be around them often, so I consider this a treat."  (Darius)

Let's check in on Business Class.

Saba has been smiling and trying to get the young military man's attention.

"What are you doing?"  (Kyori)
"I'm just being friendly."  (Saba)
"Don't you mean, overly friendly?"  (Kyori)

"There is no such thing as overly friendly."  (Saba)
"This is going to be a long flight."  (Kyori)
