Guess What Just Arrived?

A new KidKraft house.  I know what some of you are thinking.  Why is she buying a KidKraft house?  I asked myself the same question before I pushed the "Add to Cart" button.  Long story, short, I am a sucker for a good sale.  Zulily.com had a KidKraft sale a few days ago and most of the houses they offered were more than 50% off.  I was able to resist most of them but when I saw the Magnolia Mansion house, it spoke to me.  (The first image is mine, but the others belong to KidKraft.)

I immediately thought of Roberta, Danielle's mom.  This would be the perfect place for her.  So she is planning to move back to Morristown to be closer to the family.  She just has to wait until the builders finish construction.

I picture Roberta and Julian hanging out on the porch together.

The backgrounds on this house are wonderful.  It looks like the perfect "mature woman" house.

Nice little details.

I started deboxing the house, and it looks pretty easy to assemble.

  1. This house is cute! I feel I need a real doll's room....the poor girls and boys are all there in those small cabinets, and they need so badly a home!
    Great buy Vanessa!

    1. billa's dolls - I'm interested to see just how big this house is on the inside. I know most of the furniture it came with it too small, but I think I can make it work.

  3. You can't go wrong with a Kidkraft dollhouse. The Magnolia mansion is one of my faves of their traditional looking houses. It is perfect for Roberta. Now she can be close to her kids and grandkids, including any "future" grandkids ; )

  11. That's a lovely looking house! If the furniture is too small for roberta, maybe you could give them to some of your doll kids.

    1. Leandra - The furniture is kind of odd. I will keep the bed, and the bathroom furniture. I may give a couple pieces to my neighbor.

    1. Juanita - I spent some time yesterday trying to put the house together. It was a piece of cake until I had to slide the backs in. A little challenging to do with one person. I will be back at it today maybe armed with a little temporary glue to act as my assistant. Keep up posted on your new doll line. That sounds exciting.

  15. That's sweet, she's moving back to be closer. Will she be leaving the boyfriend behind or was that someone she date while she was in Morristown. Can't remember.

    1. Kenya - Roberta didn't have a boyfriend that we met. There was a young female that lived in the area that would check on her and spend time with her.

    2. Hmmm. I'm getting her confused with somebody. Does somebody's mom - older like Roberta have a boyfriend?

    3. Kenya - You are probably thinking of Tina who is now engaged to her boyfriend, Harrison.
