The Brown 'n Serve Rolls

Brown 'n serve rolls are my favorite during the holidays.  I allow myself to indulge.  I've been wanting to make some for the dolls.  I finally did a couple of days ago and posted them in the store.  They sold pretty quickly, but I still wanted to share them with you.  



I'm hoping to post a story next time.  I don't know who's bright idea it was to move Morristown.  LOL!  Just kidding.  I'm still happy I did it, but getting everything back in order is taking a little time and a lot of patience.

  6. Mmmm they look so yummy!! Here where I live we use to eat "torrijas" in this time of the year. I found the recipe in English for you http://www.spain-recipes.com/torrijas.html
    though at home we do it slightly different, and use white wine instead of milk hehehehe

    1. Rossetti - Thanks! I went to that site. Lots of Spanish recipes. I only wish they had more pictures. Torrijas sounds very interesting. Your version with the white wine sounds a little more interesting than the milk version. LOL.

    1. D7ana - Tell Old Joe, I will have his plate ready when he arrives. Who doesn't have a fondness for rolls, drop biscuits with butter and fruit. I gained a pound just typing that.

  8. I'm learning so much about american cuisine from your doll food. It sounds like you eat these the way we eat scones. Brown'n serve rolls here are a different shape and are usually served with butter and eaten with soup or a main course. Yours look delicious.

    1. Carrickters - And I'm learning so much about Australian cuisine. For the most part these rolls are served just like yours, with butter and part of a meal. I eat them mainly with turkey, but they are good with just about everything.

  11. I haven't eaten brown 'n serve rolls in years. These these really look authentic. All I need are the rolls fresh from the oven, a butter knife to cut a slit in each, and a pat of butter to insert into the slit to melt inside. Yum... yum...

    I no longer eat these or any white bread, but I do have my memories. Thanks for the awakening.
