Surprise!

Three days ago I ordered the KidKraft Uptown house.  I couldn't help it.  I found it for the lowest price I've ever seen, and with free shipping.  I was incredibly surprised that it showed up today.  Even though I wasn't feeling great, I decided to go ahead and put this house together.  I still have the pool area to assemble, but here's a little preview.  More pictures and an open house coming soon.

It's a fairly big house.

You can see the location relative to the Glam House.

I installed the elevator on the outside of the house

In case you are wondering, the Country Estate home is still sitting boxed, near my front door.  As soon as I prepare a place for it, I will assemble it.  Since it's four stories high, I won't be able to sit it on the table top like I have for other houses.  This makes my fifth KidKraft home.  I think that is it for houses.  There will be multiple families sharing these houses, but with different furnishings and accessories.

  6. Wow, that is a nice big house! Morristown has a lot of new construction going on. Can't wait to see what families get these new homes and how you decorate for each family. Also, looking forward to seeing the country estates home too!

  7. Wow that is a large house! I was wondering if there wasn't some way to get rid of all the pink graphics. I was looking at them and thinking maybe spray paint, foamcore, paper, because the backgrounds look so playline. Maybe make it more upscale modern/adult. The lines of these houses are so nicely done. Your neighborhood is really coming along!

  14. Thanks everyone for your comments. It is huge! Bigger than I expected, which makes me even more afraid of Country Estates. Lisa, I actually like the graphics in this house, even all the pink. I will change it for different families as needed just by temporarily covering the walls. Families have already been selected and will be shown in the next post.

    1. jSarie - This house was fairly easy to put together. They had one part misnumbered, but I was able to figure it out.

    1. Rainbows of Disney - Thanks. I may try tackling the country estate house this weekend. I have the table that it will sit on, but just not sure where to put the table. I am subscribed to one of your channels. You are quite creative with your videos. Keep up the good work.

    1. Ms. Leo - I just had to get this house. It's a lot bigger than I thought. That's the case with most of these houses. You don't know exactly how much space you have until you get it together. You can get somewhat of an idea from some of the YouTube videos.
