New PowerTeam Guys

Thanks to Ms. Leo,who blogged about seeing new PowerTeam guys at Big Lots, I have added two more action figures (notice I didn't say dolls) to my collection.  All of the ones shown in her blog post were at my Big Lots.  I selected two new characters.

He was too handsome to even think about leaving him in the store.

I really liked this guy.  There is a chance he could be a relative of JT (Roberta's new man).

Thanks Ms. Leo!

    1. billa's dolls - That's a good name for them. I've limited my doll buying, but not my action figure buying. So I didn't add to the count for the year.

    1. Phyllis - You can never have too many men in the doll world. Have you checked your Big Lots lately. They just started showing up again. They hadn't been around for a number of years.

  3. Ummm, which Big Lots did you go to? I only know of two that haven't gone out of business. I need that second guy for a future story. Congrats on your finds!

    1. Jewell - I went to the both of the ones on 78. The one in Stone Mt. and the one in Snellville. The first guy was at the Snellville store and the first one was at both locations. I bought the one at Stone Mt. You may want to check Snellville. He's probably still there.

  5. Ms. Leo's post made me run out and grab two of these also (along with figuring out how to rebody them). There was one of each doll from her post. I got these two, except the second one comes in two different shades (dressed differently too). I bought the lighter one because I was able to find him a replacement body with hands.

    1. Janainah - Congrats. I have lots of extra hands that I purchased over the years, so that's the only thing I change on them. I rather like their bodies. I saw the lighter version of the second guy, too.

    2. Vanessa, I think their bodies are fine. I like that they are muscular. I just don't like the permanent shoes. So switched them with similar bodies.

    3. Janianah - They don't have permanent shoes. They have nice feet that are articulated at the ankles. You may have to put a slit in the back of the boot to get it off, but they definitely come off.

  6. I also bought these two when Big Lots when they had the 20% off last week. I agree the first one was too cute to leave behind. They had another one that I purchased as well. I need to get hands for the other two dudes. That is great that you found them!

    1. Georgia Girl - Congrats! I bought a duplicate of one I already had because I broke a leg several years ago. Nice to finally be able to replace it. I knew about the 20% but didn't know about the guys at the time, so I missed out on that.

    1. My doll stuff - I've already started figuring out who they will be in my stories. They will probably show up sooner than later.

    2. Well the second one could be JT's son if he had a wife, or his nephew, and the first one could be David's relative.I don't know why but he looks a little bit like David. This is my opinion but of course you will choose.
      Hugs.

    3. My doll stuff - JT doesn't need a wife to have a son. It could have been a girlfriend, or an ex-wife. I really think that is going to be his grown son. They kind of favor each other in a strange kind of way.

    4. Yes I know.I mean if he already had a wife he wouldn't be a couple with Roberta,probably.LOL.Have a great day.

  10. Nice finds! You've inspired me to look up my nearest Big Lots to see if I can find anything similar (google tells me it's just over a mile away - I think I'll go check them out tomorrow).

  11. Congrats! I love mine! Were there a lot at your store? There weren't at mine. Eight year ago there was a Power Team aisles. Two shelves of 12 inch action figures four boxes deep! I haven't seen a new 12 inch G.I. Joe with remove able clothes in a few years. Yes, I know you don't like Joe but you see thing. There is a real lack of good 12 action figures. Thank goodness for Power Team. I getting off my soapbox now.

    1. Ms. Leo - Thanks. I think those days of Power Team aisles are long gone. I remember those days. My store only had about 7. I love Joe. I just don't love his height. Lol.

  15. Vanessa, I see that you have been buying a bunch of houses lately.I have one you can have if you want it. (Just pay the shipping.) I got it for nothing, but I don't have room for it, so I'll pass it along to you. It's nice and big, but it can come apart for shipping. The back walls might need some flattening, or you could make your own since they are just cardboard. (Foam core would work.) I didn't put it together perfectly when I got it, but the walls were a bit loose. They have to be slid into a track along the back and they kept popping out. If you want to see what it looks like there's a picture of it in a post I did: http://planetofthedolls.blogspot.com/2013/09/nice-people-good-stuff-and-crazy-lady.htm If you want it I'll see if it's still ok. The frame has been in my basement, but the floors and walls are upstairs. They are ok, but like I said, need a little flattening. The edges curve a bit. That's one of the reasons they kept popping out of the slots they fit in. Let me know.

    1. Tam - You are such a sweetheart to think of me. I'm going to pass, though. I just don't have the time to fix up houses like I used to. I just want to decorate and do stories. I just threw out one of my own doll houses yesterday.

  16. Moments ago... on The Doc's Show some ppl are saying/calling the Lammily doll controversial because it comes with menstrual pads/stickers, it's a learning tool doll. WOW........

    1. Ladonna - It doesn't come with menstrual pads. It is a separate accessory kit people can buy if they want it.
