Aprons for Dasia

Hello guys.  Sorry I have been MIA.  Dasia orders are keeping me real busy.  I never imagined I would enjoy sewing as much as I do, for her.  I had a request for aprons, so I've started creating a few.  There will be others.  Dasia seems like a woman who loves to be in the kitchen cooking.  She also seems like a woman who wouldn't be in the kitchen without wearing her favorite apron.

This apron is covered with apples.

This is a little fancier apron with a vintage feel.  She wears this one on special occasions.

This apron will probably be revised.  Maybe I will add a wider sash at the waist.  It needs something to spruce it up. The fabric is the cutest.  It has titles of desserts on it, like, Grandmas strawberry rhubarb pie, Eloise's Blackberry Brown Betty, Homemade Blueberry Cobbler, and the list goes on.

I plan to catch up on my blog reading this week.  I feel like I'm missing so much.  Hope you all are doing well.  I'm feeling great at the moment.

  4. I love the second apron. As for 'sprucing up' the third one, how about a big pocket, maybe a divided one?

    1. Tam - Thanks. I made the second apron first, then decided I needed to make a few simple ones to cut down on construction time. I did a divided pocket on one of the aprons for the regular dolls. I will test out the pocket idea for #3.

  6. I love the one with the apples on it and the second one . Dasia reminds me of a lady who makes a mean maccaroni and cheese and I bet her apple pie is awesome. Her biscuits probably melt in your mouth. Your aprons are lovely!

    1. Jewell - Thanks. I will reserve one of #2 for you. I was only planning to sell one of those, but I have enough material to make two. I will have more of that style in different fabrics in the near future.

    1. Ms. Leo - Yes, Ms. Dasia will need a walk in closet soon to hold all her new clothes. I'm a big fan of vintage clothes, and that middle fabric screamed vintage to me.
