Garden Party Anyone?

Can you believe this woman got another dress?  She really is pressing her luck.  She's starting to put in special requests.  I'm pretty excited how quickly this dress came together.  The scoop neck bodice is lined and closes with two snaps.  I added the cute belt with the gold buckle to jazz it up a bit.  Of course she is sporting her gold strapped heeled sandals.  Now all she needs is a hat (which she is not getting any time soon) and this would make the perfect garden party or tea party dress.

On another note, today is blog reading day!  I shipped out three orders yesterday, so I can take a little break before I list some new items and probably make Dasia something else.  I'm not sure if it's the new meds, my excitement about sewing, or my increased water intake, but I have had an abundance of energy the past week or so.  I've been up and out the house walking the dogs by 6am and headed to the gym by 6:30am.  Feels great to be back in the gym after 18 months of not being able to go.  I'm decided to play racquetball again as soon as I build up my stamina.  Fingers crossed I don't break anything.  I've even started planting new grass in my yard.  I bought a cultivator a few weeks ago, so I could break of the dirt.  There is something so exhilarating about seeing  new grass pop up after all the work that goes into planting it.  My next project is rebuilding my back deck.  When things are neglected, horrible things can happen, like deck rot.  I'm going to enjoy the next 7 days, because chances are I will be down for the count again next Tuesday.  See you soon!

  1. This is so summery! Your Dasia is one lucky lady! She had an enviable wardrobe. I will bet your other dolls are jealous. Happy for your sudden burst of energy -- I could use one myself! Don't overdo it though.

    1. Phyllis - Thanks. Luckily most of the other ladies have pretty extensive wardrobes. Now my HF Grandmas aren't too pleased that they aren't getting new items. I am trying to pace myself and not overdo it.

    1. D7ana - Thanks. Yes, she just sits there next to the sewing machine waiting for the next project. I hope she's learning something so she can start helping me sew.

    1. Ms. Leo - Thanks. This is a fabric that has been in my stash for many years. This dress was a spur of the moment creation and Dasia just loves it.
