Dashiki for Dasia

Hello guys!  It's been a minute.  I would love to say I've been living in total bliss since we last spoke, but I haven't.  I had to start new medicine and I've been feeling like crap the past week.   The first thing I did when I was able to get out of bed, was go straight to my sewing machine.  Sewing for Dasia makes me feel better.  I made her a new top, which I am calling a dashiki.  It will be available in the store soon.  Until next time....

  13. Hope that you're feeling better soon. I had a go-round last year with medication myself.

Since we're on the subject of sewing, when you finish a seam with Fray Check, how do you keep the edge from feeling crunchy? I think maybe I squeeze out too much Fray Check, but I'm not really sure I can do any better.

  14. Feeling badly can be a downer. I'm glad that Dasia can lift your spirits! Funny I just found. A top similar to this that I got from the doll store a while back. I thought it would make a good dashiki too. I think it needs some gold trim. I'll have to show it.

I love the new top. It fits Dasia well.

I love the colours in the top you made both on their own, and how they look on Dasha in particular.

  19. Hey guys! Thanks for the comments. I am feeling better, but with the new meds I may be sicker more during the month than I was in the past. Glad you like the top. Right now I'm working on Dasia orders from my store, but I will be posting again real soon. Have a wonderful holiday!

BARB - You are probably squeezing out way too much fray check. The next bottle you get, make sure the hole you make is small.
