One More Layout

 Sorry, you get a couple more sectional pictures, but you also get to see Brad and Angelina.  Debbie made a comment yesterday about this sectional being versatile.  That led me to try something I had never done before  Now my ladies really want a sectional.  For the record, I am taking commissions for sectionals or even regular sized sofas.

Brad and Angelina have taken their relationship to the next level.  Last time we saw them, they were on their first date.

It was hard to see the trim in the pictures yesterday.

They bet not do anything on this sofa.  The new owner would NOT be happy.  Take it to the bedroom, guys.

Back to the Furniture

Well, I am back to furniture making.  Feels great.  One of my Flickr friends commissioned this sectional from me, which I finished today.  

This is the first time I've done a sectional with 3 seat cushions on the left.  

I didn't have to hire Halle since this piece was already sold.  I am working on two new pieces which will require her modeling expertise.  Hard ti tell in these pictures, but there is red trim along the bottom.

It's been awhile since we've seen Kendra and baby Cameron.  They are both doing well.  Kendra is getting out more and getting more comfortable being a new mommy.

Autumn Has Arrived (Photostory)

The title may suggest this story has something to do with the new fall season some of us are experiencing.  It doesn't.  We are back to check on Lena's get together.  Autumn, Darius' secretary and Juwan Howard's wife, has arrived with their 5 yr old daughter, Juanita.

The ladies are chatting and having a snack and green tea, in the dining area.

Juanita is trying to read to Sydney.  

"So are you and Alan settling in okay?"  (Autumn)

"I've really been focused on getting a job, so I haven't had a chance to explore the area."  (Lena)

"Ohhh, so did you find a job?"  (Autumn)

"Yes.  I'll be working at the bridal shop, altering the dresses.  With any luck, I'll be designing some dresses, too."  (Lena)

"Sweet.  Now we have two seamstresses in town.  Have you met Debbie, yet?  She has a shop right in Olde Towne."  (Autumn)

"No, I haven't.  I'll have to stop in, introduce myself, and check out the competition."  (Lena)

"Wait, where are you going?"  (Juanita)

"You should also check out Ni'Chalet's.  That's the local boutique   The owner, Racquel, would probably be interested in some of your designs."  (Adele)

"Wow, that sounds really good.  Where is her shop located?"  (Lena)

"You have to sit down so I can finish reading to you."  (Juanita)

"No. No."  (Sydney)

Juanita tries to direct Sydney back to the sofa.  Sydney suddenly lets out a loud shriek. 

"Juanita!  What are you doing?"  (Autumn)

"I just want to finish reading to her."  (Juanita)

"You can't make her stay and listen to you.  Why don't you come here and have something to eat?"  (Autumn)

"No. I'm not hungry. I'm going to read my book."  (Juanita)

"Mommy.  Mommy."  (Sydney)

"Come on lil' munchkin.  I'm over here."  (Adele)

"She is so cute."  (Lena)

"Mommy, cheese."  (Sydney)

"Yes, that's cheese.  You can have it."  (Adele)

"Excuse me ladies.  I'm going to put Alan down for a nap.  Help yourself to more tea."  (Lena)

Lena heads upstairs, while the ladies continue chatting.

"So how's your class going?"  (Autumn)

"For the most part, it's going well.  Of course there is always one or two students that make the job harder than it needs to be.  But I love my job."  (Adele)

Upstairs, Lena has put lil' Alan down for his nap.  He stirs a little before falling back to sleep.

"Well look who decided to join us.  Are you hungry?  We have fruit, turkey, roast beef, or cheese."  (Autumn)

"No, I have to go to the bathroom."  (Juanita)

"Okay, head upstairs.  Ms. Lena is up there."  (Autumn)

"Oh there you are.  Can you show Juanita where the bathroom is?"  (Autumn)

"Sure.  Come on sweetie." (Lena)

Lena waits upstairs for Juanita.  

"Let it go, let it go, can't hold it back anymore...."   Juanita singing the song from her new favorite movie, Frozen.

"Dang, I have been smelling this cake all afternoon.  I've been trying to ignore it, because I'm trying to be good, but I may have to indulge today."  (Autumn)

"I may have to indulge, too, especially if she made it herself.

The ladies both have a slice of cake when Lena and Juanita return.  Juanita finally eats something, much to her mother's delight.  It's been a great afternoon, and Lena feels a lot more comfortable.  The ladies have told her about all the hottest spots in town.  Now all she has to do is make time to go check it all out.

Headed to Church (Photostory)

It's Sunday morning and the Andersons are headed to church.  It's only a couple blocks away, so they've decided to walk.

"Do you have everything?"  (David)

"Yes.  I was just looking to make sure I turned the stove off.  You can close it."  (Leslie)

When they turn around, they see a very busy Ciana.

"Mommy can I ride my bike to church?"  (Ciana)

"I'm afraid not.  We are going to worship, not to the playground."  (Leslie)

"Pleeeasssse, Mommy."  (Ciana)

"Here, let me take Joseph.  Grab your daughter.  I'm not in the mood this morning for a debate."  (Leslie)

"Let's go Ciana.  You can ride when we get back."  (David)

"Are we going to ride at the park?"  (Ciana)

"You have a million and one questions this morning."  (David)

"I can already tell, church is going to be an interesting experience, today.  Let's go before we are late.  I hate sitting all the way in the back."  (Leslie)

And they are off.

"Bye bye bike."  (Ciana)

Look who else is headed to church.  She just got a new outfit from an Etsy shop called Shades.  If you shop there, read the description carefully.  A lot of the outfits are designed for Model Muse bodies.  I couldn't pass up this outfit.  It's the perfect church outfit with the cross on the skirt.  It came with the necklace and a red pair of shoes.  

Joseph also got a new outfit from ebay.  I'm pretty sure the seller didn't make this.  I think she was just selling off some of her collection.

Prepping for Guests (Photostory)

Lena finishes her shower, gets dressed then starts getting lil' Alan dressed.

"Don't do anything crazy before I get your pamper on.  I've already had my shower for the day."  (Lena)

With lil' Alan dressed, Lena heads downstairs.

First things first....breakfast.

"How about a little peaches and oatmeal?"  (Lena)

Lil' Alan is ready.

Doesn't take long for him to finish his breakfast.  He's always been a good eater. 

Lena lays him on the sofa to drink his bottle, while she prepares a few hor d'oeuvres.

First she prepares the pineapple fruit boat.

Next she places the cake, she baked yesterday, on the cake stand.

Oops as she was taking the meat and cheese tray out the fridge, she dropped it.  Luckily the plastic wrap was on tight, but now everything is a jumbled mess.  No time to fix it.  The door bell has just rung.

"Adele,come on in"  (Lena)

"Hello.  Hope we're not too early."  (Adele)

"No, you are right on time."  (Lena)

Lena repositions lil' Alan and sits down to chat.

"So this is your little girl?"  (Lena)

"Yes.  This is Sydney.  She's being a little shy, but I'm sure that won't last long."  (Adele)

"Hello, Sydney.  I may have some toys around here you can play with."  (Lena)

"I brought a few things to keep her busy."  (Adele)

"Oh I almost forgot.  Autumn should be here soon.  She got a little turned around with the directions.  She called me just as I was parking."  (Adele)

"Oh, okay.  Can I get you something to drink?"  (Lena)
