Surprise Visitor (Photostory)

Continuing our 'Day in the Life of Angelica"....

Professor Morgan is spending a few minutes with the class explaining the project.

"And your financial statements need to be submitted on this type of paper.  Any more questions?"  (Prof Morgan)

"Yes, Ms. Valerie?"  (Prof Morgan)

"Is is okay to use the business that I work at part-time?"  (Valerie)

"That's perfectly fine.  Just make sure your boss isn't going to have a problem with you delving deeper into her business."  (Prof Morgan)
"You have a point.  I may have to rethink that decision."  (Valerie)
"Any more questions?  (pause)  Okay.  Well I'm going to check to see if our guest has arrived."  (Prof Morgan)

As Prof Morgan leaves the room, the students start talking among themselves.

"So who do you think it is?"  (Carmen)
"Probably just the dean of the business school." (Liam)

"Well our guest has arrived.  This guest is one of the most prominent business people the world over."  (Prof Morgan)

"Consider yourselves lucky to get a chance to hear from this gentleman.  Take advantage of this opportunity and ask questions.  Without further ado, please welcome Mr. Donald Trump."  (Prof Morgan)

Donald enters the room...

.....to hand clapping and whistles.

Quentin, however, is not impressed.

Donald Trump takes a seat on the desk.  He thanks the students for their warm welcome and takes a seat at the front.

"So let's just get right into it.  As your professor mentioned, I am one of the best, if not The Best, business person the world over.  How did I get there?  Through hard work and perseverance."  (Trump)

Donald continues talking about himself (his favorite subject), and his businesses.

"You have to find what your motivation is and what makes you passionate and just go for it.  Without passion, you don't have energy.  Without energy you have nothing.  Money was never a big motivation, except as a way to keep score.  The real excitement is playing the game."  (Trump)

Trump finishes his talk and opens up the floor to questions.  Most of the students flood him with business and a few personal questions.

The only question Quentin wanted to ask was why Mr. Trump was such an a-hole during the presidential election.  He decides not to bring up politics at all.  He remains silent during Trumps entire visit.

Meet Professor Morgan's daughter, Christina.  She is also Cassandra, the daycare owner's daughter.  The professor and Cassandra divorced when Christina was a little girl.  Christina is really close to her dad.  Special thanks to one of my blogger readers, Christine, who suggested this connection.  I think it's a good one.

I found the Donald Trump doll at the local thrift store early last year, for $2.92.  He was completely dressed, just as you see him here.

  1. Girl, Donald Trump doll makes his comb over look GOOD! Aww...I'm glad Christina is spending time with dad. Can't believe her mom divorced that fine man. Quentin get a grip. Business & personal issues don't mix.

    1. Sonya - Donald doesn't have a comb over. He just has very strange looking hair. You are hilarious! I don't really know why Cassandra divorced him. I'll try to ask her the next time I see her.

    1. Shasarignis - I got mine at the thrift store, but he is all over ebay for pretty reasonable prices. I failed to mention that he is a talking doll with about 17 different phrases. There is a company that does a number of talking political figures. My dentist, is the Dennis Miller talking doll from the same company. I don't remember the company's name right now, but maybe D7ana will point you to a post where she also highlighted the talking political figures.

    2. Thanks, Vanessa, for the mention ;-)

Your Trump figure is by Stevenson Entertainment Group. I did write a post about political action figures. The Talking Presidents action figures are another company also produces playscale political figures.

  6. Heather - On the first season of the Apprentice, the contestants had to sell Trump water to different businesses in NY. Did you drink the water? lol!

  8. O my!!! Donald Trump on your blog!! LOL When I saw him I couldn't believe it, you know how to introduce a suprise element. I love the way you put him on the table, he really looks as if he's talking to the students!

  9. Awww, Vanessa, I used to have the Generation Girl doll that you used as Valerie! I lost her and I miss her. :'(

I am so jealous, LOL! The Asha doll in the front with the blond and black curly hair reminds me of Kelly Rowland. Kelly Rowland is a living Black Barbie doll!

LOL @ the Donald Trump doll. They capture his smushed-face expression and everything!

  10. Great story Vanessa! I am with Quentin. That is what I would have wanted to know as well. I also have the Donald doll. I bought him "really" cheap years ago at Tuesday morning....like $5. I loved the surprise. Lol!

    1. Georgia Girl - I am with Q, too. I lost some respect for the Donald after all his antics during the election. I got my doll during the last election. In the end I thought about showing him with my President Obama doll, having him apologize. I just let it go.

  11. The Donald! That's a darn good likeness and a cool deal to get him fully dressed for so little.

  12. KenyaDoll - I've had that Generation doll a long time. I always loved her hair. My granddaughter is a huge Kelly Rowland fan. The company that made the Donald did a great job on the likeness of all the political figures I've seen thus far.

    1. I had the Black Generation doll, the blonde from Australia and the red head from England. My guess is that I gave them away to my little cousins because they wanted them. Now I want them back! LOL! They are teenagers now. I think the next time I visit them I may ask to dig in their Barbie box and search for them.

    2. KenyaDoll - that's GG Nichelle (Black), GG Tori (Australia) and Chelsie (England) that you gave away. I LOVE Nichelle's hair texture and Chelsie's hair color. Tori I still have boxed.

Good luck getting your dolls back ;-)

  14. So much to comment on, Vanessa!

I love Carmen's hat. Too cute. Frames her face adorably.

I love the students' chair-desks. Reminds me of school.

I love how you rebodied Tariq er Quentin onto a Power Team body - looks like Q has his hands clenched. Understand that ;-)

I like how the other kids clapped - you got a great angle because it looks as if they are really clapping.

    Thanks for this fun post!

    1. D7ana - Thanks. Carmen's hat is from the male Barbie Basic accessory pack. Tariq was rebodied when I bought him from a doll show He's on a Max Steel body, which is perfect for him.

  15. I'm not a Donald Trump fan but he did give some good advice there :) If only my passion for dolls could make me as rich as he. I think finding the Donald for such a cheap price was cool, someone probably gave him up because of his presidential election antics :) Great story here!

    1. Eve - Thanks. I took that advice straight from one of Donald's books. Yes, I agree it would be really nice to get that rich with dolls.

  17. The only reason for Quentin not to as the question is that it might make the professor look bad. Other than that, The Donald should have been put on the spot! LOL! I have the Trump doll also. The clothing is really made well! It is nice to see him. You don't see him used much.

    1. Ms. Leo - I agree. He should have had to answer for that craziness. The first time I saw Donald was in 2006. My friend, Toni, who used to do doll stories, used him in one of her stories. Her husband used to work for him, many years ago.

  18. Well, that was a surprise. I didn't know there was a Donald Trump doll either (and yes, it is a good likeness). However, I'm another vote with Quentin - not because I know anything about his politics (I am Australian after all) but because I am not really sure about his business ethics.

    1. Carrickters - It is kind of odd that there is a Trump doll. As a business person, I love him, but I lost a lot of respect for him during our last election.

  19. LOL - Quentin should have gone there. I wanna know too! Aside from the Donald having more hair than real life - his expression and body language is on point.

  20. Nice find, he makes a great character. I may add one to my doll world, I think he'll make a great father figure. Carmen is my favorite doll, just love that Stardoll.
