$5, $2, and FREE (Part 2 of Doll Show)

Continuing on with my doll show goodies.  If you missed the post yesterday, go back and take a look at the $5 doll houses I found.  Today I am showing the dolls and the clothes I purchased yesterday.  Nothing was over $5.

Let's start with this awesome $5 action figure of Jack Sparrow.

I don't think his boots are removable, but I may consider rebodying him on a different body in the future. He's so handsome!  I'm looking for suggestions on how to incorporate him into my stories.

More action figures I purchased for $5 each.

I can always use more African American men.  One of these guys may play the principal at Tyler's school.  I hope he's ready for Vanessa.

I wanted to show the three piece gas mask this figure came with.  I primarily bought him for his clothing.

This complete set was only $5.

Here's a closer look at the snow shoes and the folding gun.

Look who else was there for $5.  Liam!

This dealer also had a few Barbies that were $3 each.  I loved the outfit on this one.  She's one of those Barbies with the colored legs.  I may use her head.

This dealer had some clothing.  Most of this is male clothing, and he threw all of this stuff in for free.

Here's a closer look at some of the pieces.

I found Happy Meal Todd at another dealer for $5.  I've been wanting him for a while.

Each of these dolls were $2 ea, fully dressed.  You can't beat that. I bought them from the same dealer who sold me the houses.  Most of them I bought for the clothing.  This is one of my favorite dealers.  I always get great stuff from her for incredible prices.

I'm not sure which Fashion Fever Teresa that is, second from the left, but I love her.  And yes that is an articulated High School Musical (Troy?) doll.

There was one articulated doll in the bunch.  The doll on the far right came with a second outfit, too.

The same dealer threw this package in for free.  We love free.  My teenage girls will love this.

She also threw in these roller and ice skates for free.  The red one is missing the rollers on one of the shoes.  I took it anyway.  I may be able to make a match for it.

  1. You get such cool stuff, we don't get any of that in South Africa but I suppose it doesn't matter. We make the best of what we get. hahahahaha

  2. Wow...Those outfits... I am a bit envy :)
Jack Sparrow can be a new musician figure who looks after a new band :) Or he may play an acoustic guitar alone with a personality like Roux's in Chocolat (also starring Johnny Depp :) )

    1. Rosemary - Now if I can just get all this stuff and the rest of the stuff organized, I will get a lot better use of it all. Thanks for the suggestion for Johnny Depp.

  5. Jack Sparrow could be a biker, a musician, or work at the local tattoo parlor. (IS there a tattoo parlor in Morristown?Would you want one?) Or just a regular guy. That look is not that usual these days! He could definately work at a music store. Is it just me, or does Flaves Liam look like Justin Timberlake? I just got that blue legged girl today in a bag of dolls at Goodwill. She's beautiful. Is the black haired doll, (next to the blonde doing the karate moves), Veronica from Archie?

    1. Tam - After reading all the comments, Jack Sparrow, the biker is a definite possibility. There's no tattoo parlor in Morristown. I don't have anything against them, but I don't have time to give the dolls tats. I barely have time to dress them. lol. Liam does resemble JT. I think that is Veronica. I hadn't noticed it until you said that.

    1. Jorge - Yes, I finally have a Liam doll. I'm sure he will make friends quickly here. At the doll shows, you run into a lot of dealers that are just trying to get rid of stuff. So there are always great deals.

  8. Nice haul! I love Liam and Todd. Maybe I'll be able to go next year. I'll need to start saving now so I don't blow out my bank account then! LOL. Is the show always held in Marietta or does the venue change from year to year? :-)

    1. Cindi - The Nov show has been at the Cobb Civic Center for many years. It almost didn't happen this year, but they changed their mind at the last minute. Tyler and Dillon will be happy to meet Todd.

  9. Congratulations on this shopping trip, Vanessa. You did a great job.

Maybe your new JD could be a reggae artist. Or a member of a reggae band?

    1. D7ana - Thanks! I was quite happy with my purchases. Reggae artist is a great suggestion. I was thinking biker after seeing all the comments, but now I'm back on the fence. I will take my time and let it all marinate.

  12. Boy! Did you score! Somehow I can see the basement a little crowded with all the houses now. Your Realtor is going to be quite busy now. I have the Jack Sparrow and the Will Turner action figures. The boot thing is a pain. I put the knicker on my Camille
(Happy Family Grandmother). They look good with boots and a sweater! I have the HSM male and the Teen Skippers. Teen come in useful. I love the Asian dress and the Veronica doll. I think the Teresa is a Cali without the big feet. I think the AA figure with the red knees should be the Principal. He looks like he means business! You need that in a principal! Now I really miss the Black doll show here! Boo Hoo!

    1. Ms. Leo - Yes the basement would be very crowded if I had all the houses displayed. Most of the houses are kept folded up and are only taken out when I need them. It helps to keep it from getting overcrowded down there. You said Teen Skippers. Is there more than one Teen Skipper in my stash? I only noticed one. I agree that the taller guy would make the better principle. He has that look.

    2. From the picture, it looked like the blonde in the green pants was a teen Skipper too!
