September Purchases

This is not the post I planned to do.  I had planned to do part II of the latest restaurant story.  I took the pictures and everything.  Unfortunately my camera card reader experienced a malfunction and it erased ALL the pictures I had stored on the disk.  There were over 1000 pictures.  Most of them were already downloaded to my computer.  I was just using the disk as a backup.  So no, I didn't shed any tears over it.  I did lose all the pictures I took of the restaurant scene.  So I decided (at 1am this morning) to use my crappy camera and take pictures of a few of my recent doll purchases.  There are a few more that you will see soon.

This is one of the Bratz cancer dolls.  I found her at Marshall's for $7.00.  I bought it mainly for the clothes that will fit the younger girls, like Nikaya.

I also found this Barbie, Stacie set at Marshall's for $12.99.  I can use the Barbie body as a donor. It's fully articulated up top, with click knees.  The snorkel outfits and gear will come in handy, too.

A few weeks ago I found this golf cart with Skipper at my local grocery store, marked down to $16.00.  Original price was about $27.00.  I am showing the picture of it, because it's still in the trunk of my car.

I found another cool set of tool ornaments at Hobby Lobby this week.  The tools are a great size for the Ken/Barbie sized dolls.

I picked up these mini Christmas hats from Hobby Lobby, hoping they would fit some of the babies in Morristown.

Here's baby Cameron modeling it for us.

Last, but not least, is the Barbie Dream Ship.  I bought this from ebay back in October.  I love that it is similar to my Barbie Dream Plane.  I also love the newest cruise ship Mattel released, but that one wasn't in the budget.

Here's a glimpse inside.

Again sorry for the crappy pictures.

I will have to reshoot the restaurant scene this weekend.  That sucks.  I will be away for the next two days, babysitting for my cousin who is going on a cruise with her husband.  How ironic.  LOL.  I wonder if they will do any snorkeling?   I will be keeping up with my blog reading.  I just won't be posting.

  1. That's some good stuff! Whenever I get to busy with work, like now, lol, I don't have time to do a blog post but I sure do find the time to buy some doll stuff. All of mine is still sitting in their shopping bags, hiding under a table.

    1. Muff - There's nothing like a great sale. I found a few bags not too long ago with doll stuff I had totally forgotten about. It was like going shopping all over again.

  2. Nice loot Vanessa.

Sorry about your camera card malfunctioning. It is such a pain to have to do a re-shoot. I'm glad you have most of the pictures already stored.

Baby Cameraon is so alert and very photogenic, too.

    1. Marta - Thanks. Yes losing all my pictures was terrible. It could have been a lot worse. Luckily I had copied most of them to the computer. So far I am enjoying the babysitting. All the kids are still at school for another hour. I've already prepped their dinner and made dessert.

    1. V - Those tools are the perfect size. I bought a set last year and they were a little bigger. There is more in this set, too. Check your local Michaels Craft, if you have one.

  8. Thanks for sharing where you got your doll bargains. Congratulations on finding them. I love the idea of using the Bratz fashions for the younger dolls. (Bratz has the best fashions anyway, lol.)

Looking forward to your make-overs and upcoming stories with the new (to you) Barbie Dream Ship.
