Monica and Curtis are still out running business errands. Monica has finalized the paperwork on her business loan, and she is finally ready to get her pet business off the ground!
"Hello, I'm Tim and you must be Monica." (Tim)
"Yes, I'm Monica. Nice to meet you. This is my friend Curtis." (Monica)
"Nice to meet you." (Curtis)
"Likewise." (Tim)
"So this is it. It's not in the best condition, but with a little tlc it would be really nice. I'll give you a chance to look it over and I'll be back shortly to answer any questions." (Tim)
"How cute, a little feeder." (Monica)
"It's not very big." (Curtis)
"So what do you think?" (Curtis)
"Umm, I think it could work. It will fit nicely in the location I'm thinking about." (Monica)
"I think it's perfect for holding pet adoptions." (Monica)
"So I'm confused. What happened to the pet store?" (Curtis)
"You mean the pet boutique. Well, I want to do both. I can do the pet adoptions on the weekend, while I'm getting the boutique set up. Then once I get the boutique open, I'll hire a few people to help". (Monica)
"So, how did it go? Do you have any questions?" (Tim)
"It went fine and right now I don't have any questions." (Monica)
"I'd like a couple days to think it over. Is that okay?" (Monica)
"That's fine. I'll give you a call in a couple of days. If you have questions, don't hesitate to call." (Tim)
"Thanks, Tim. I appreciate you showing it to me on such short notice." (Monica)
You were up early this morning! Curtis looks very natural sitting on the fence.
ReplyDeletelimbe dolls - I'm up early most mornings. I'm not complaining though. Monica has been darting around town all day. Curtis is grateful to get a breather.

ReplyDeleteKenya - He is Tim McGraw. They did a decent job with his sculpt, but they messed up the Faith Hill doll. It was a 2 doll set that came out last year(?).

ReplyDeleteGrandmommy - No, he doesn't come with a body. A lot of action figures come as heads only and you have to buy an appropriate body separately. Gives you a lot more leeway on choosing the kind of body you want.

ReplyDeleteAG Lanc - Yes, these two are exes. Mainly because of her move. The long distance relationship is always a challenge. It will be interesting to see what happens after this visit.

I completely understand Noland's point of view, and he wasn't too strict, I just meant that I don't want Andrew to be disliked by Tori's parents because of her irresponsibility. I do like Andrew a lot, as I still believe he's a good guy. I totally understand Karla's position, Tori just kinda blows her off. But Tori wants her freedom, that she is having a hard time receiving. it. So I see all points of the situation. Her parents just want a good future for her. She just wants to live her life. I get it. I hope I didn't sound too terribly narrow minded.:}
As usual, your sets are so beautiful and your dolls are all so amazing-ly beautiful yet they don't look all glitzy and glittery and pink like all the barbies out right now.

DeleteNo need to apologize for your comment. I agree with your previous comment, and I love that you are concerned about Andrew. I was just speaking on behalf of the parents. Sometimes parents are pretty close minded when it comes to their own children. Noland and Karla have both met Andrew and they like him. I don't think they are very trusting of any boy when it comes to their daughter.
Hehe knowing Tori, they might be right! No offense Tori, you make their lives interesting ;)

Interesting idea. Where is Monica thinking of setting this up? And does Curtis know there are other men around who would help her get it up and running? That might make him consider the move to Morristwn.
ReplyDeleteCarrickters - She is hoping to lease an outdoor space not too far from where she is leasing her indoor boutique space. I don't think Curtis is in a position to move to Morristown just yet, (i.e. I don't have apartment space for him.)but maybe they will reconsider the idea of the long distance relationship with a lot more visits on his part.
