Nicole and Jessica Get Riding Lessons

Tim is finishing up with Nicole and Jessica's horseback riding lessons.

"Great job today, ladies.  You stayed focused and that's what I need from you every week.  So climb down and. I will see you next week."  (Tim)

"Can we go around one more time?"  (Nicole)
"Please?"  (Jessica)
"Okay, one more time."  (Tim)

Sylvia has just arrived to pick up Jessica.  She walks over to Rod, who has been observing the girls.

"Rod, it's good to see you, again.  How's Danielle and the boys?  It's been awhile since I've seen them."  (Sylvia)
"Everyone is doing well."  (Rod)
"I'm surprised to see you here, today.  I was expecting Melanie."  (Sylvia)

"Well Nicole wanted me to come see her ride."  (Rod)
"That's great.  From what I can tell from watching her the past few weeks, she's getting really good."  (Sylvia)

"Alright ladies.  Remember what I told you."  (Tim)

"Hi Dad.  Hi Ms. Sylvia."  (Nicole)

"Hey sweetheart.  Put both hands on the reins, please."  (Rod)

After the girls finish, Tim heads over to greet Rod and Sylvia.

"Mr. Taylor, nice to have you come by.  As you can see Nicole is making great progress."  (Tim)

"Okay, so let's go ask my dad if you can come, too."  (Nicole)
"My mom better say yes, or I'm going to be mad."  (Jessica)

"Well thanks for everything."  (Rod)
"No problem.  Come back and see us again soon."  (Tim)

"Dad can Jessica come camping with us?"  (Nicole)
"It's fine with me, but you need to clear it with her mom."  (Rod)

"Ms. Sylvia, can Jessica come camping with us?"  (Nicole)
"It's okay with me, but we will need to make sure it's okay with her dad."  (Sylvia)

Nicole and Jessica starting hugging and jumping up and down.
"I said we needed to clear it with your dad, first."  (Sylvia)
"I know, but I know Dad will say yes.  He always says yes."  (Jessica)

One last picture of Tim with the beautiful horses.  (I need to find a couple of saddles).

  1. Nice story. Is this your backyard? If it is, it looks nice and large. And where did you get the horses? They look really cute! :-)

    1. Cindi - This is my front yard. Those are Generation Girl horses. They come in two sizes. One for 18" and this smaller version, which is nice for Barbie. You can find them at Target.

    2. Great story! I have seen those horse and wondered how they compared to Barbie horses. I like their tale! I have a few Barbie horse who need their tale done like that. I am surprised you didn't make saddles. I have a few saddles but they are ...PINK! I do like the blankets the horse have. I love Rod. I really looks like he is talking!

    3. Ms. Leo - Thanks. You can take care of those pink saddles with a little paint. I just haven't had time to figure out my saddle issue.

  3. Oh, I know dad will say "yes". He always says "yes". Too funny. Kids have us down pat. Love the outdoor scenery and horseback riding. Kids are having a great summer.

    1. Debbie - Jessica knows he will say yes, because she knows how to manipulate him to do so. Jessica is one of my sneakier kids.

  4. I could tell Jessica had been riding a horse afterward. Her legs were very bowed.

Your yard is beautiful. Do your neighbors ever comment about your dolls?

    1. DBG - Surprisingly my neighbors never see me and the dolls. If they do, they never say anything. I'm normally seen by people like the mail lady. Today it was the guy picking up the recyclables. I have a nice professional looking camera and I'm typically splayed out in some awkward position trying to get a shot. That makes me look more official, not like some crazy adult playing with dolls. LOL!

    2. I just wondered. None of my neighbors know about my habit. I am extremely private about matters anyway. On the rare occasion that I take outside photos of my dolls, I use the backyard which is pretty private. But who should care what they think anyway, right?

    3. DBG - Three of my neighbors know about the dolls, but only one has witnessed me outside with them. I just gave a different one, and her granddaughter a tour of the basement a few weeks ago. I've been pretty close to these neighbors since I moved here. I used to travel for work 3 times a week and one used to help with the dogs. She even had a spare key for many years.

I get a lot more questions when I pack the dolls up and take them to the local park. I've never really cared what people think. Since the dolls have always been another source of income, it's in my best interest for people to see me and ask questions. Greater potential of more sales.

OMG, what is up with these kids today! Demanding this or that and having boys up in their rooms like they pay rent or something. Yeesh!

It was nice to see Rod again! Haven't seen him in a minute. Now that I think about it I'm wording if Halle and Diego are still together or if that Brad is still sniffing around. Hmmm.

    1. Muff - It is so much worse than you can imagine. Did you hear about the 17yr old who was caught (by her dad) having sex with the 41yr old school hall monitor, in her bedroom! This happened last week. Who brings a 41 yr old back to her parent's house? We won't even talk about the teenagers I have direct contact with. Some of them don't even know what the word 'respect' means.

I was just thinking about Halle and Diego this morning. I had Brad in my hands, too. We will see some of these folks again soon. I just have to make it through this darn baby shower.

  14. Haha, I was going to say, the girls are riding bareback? That's hard core, hehehehe.

Absolutely lovely setup, beautiful ponies, and what a wonderful field for them to have lessons in.

Also, those girls and their youthful exuberance... now *I* am excited for them to go camping!!! XD

Those fences are nice. We have many different kinds of small fences in Moscow stores, but I don't have a place, where I could use them. No place to play dolls outdoors.

    1. Dukasha - Thanks for the link. Very nice picture. You have some of the best kid pictures. I will go spend some more time looking at your recent pictures.

A lot of your doll pictures are outside. I'm surprised you don't have space for a small fence.

    2. Yes, I often make doll photos outside, but they all are made in public places - parks or something like that. I don't think it's a good idea to bring a fence to a public park and to dig it in the ground there, and these fences are all made the way you need to dig them in something. Besides it's not so easy to take such things somewhere far from home without a car. Though I could maybe use the fences at home with artificial grass and plants, if I had enough free space for it...
Thanks for your kind words about my pictures. I wish I could make much more pictures with doll kids and doll families, but I often don't have clothes, furniture and other doll stuff to make the pictures good enough.

    3. Dukasha - Believe it or not, this fence is just sitting there. It is not anchored into the ground. I cut the stakes off when I used this fence inside. I was surprised that it stayed up, but it's pretty sturdy.

  18. Thanks for creating this lovely outdoors story and for letting us know about the horses. (They are really cool - don't have that drugged look the Barbie horses have.)

    1. D7ana - You're welcome. This horse story is long overdue. These are the perfect horses for Barbie. Much better size than the normal Barbie horses.

Nicole is still sporting her hairdo that Kara gave her.
