Leslie Heads to Work (Photostory)

Leslie is running a little late, but she and the kids are finally in the car and leaving the neighborhood.

Leslie is listening to the traffic to make sure there aren't any traffic issues that could make her even later.

"Great news, Ciana.  No traffic delays.  Now let's put on some musica."  (Leslie)
"Mommy, what are traffic delays?"  (Ciana)
How do you explain traffic delays to a three year old.
"I'll explain it to you later."  (Leslie)
With any luck Ciana will forget she asked.

After hearing the traffic, Leslie switches the station to the Tom Joyner morning show.  She loves her music in the morning.  Ciana is wearing the cute little dress she picked out.

Doesn't take long for Leslie to reach the highway.

"Okay, we are here."  (Leslie)
Ciana unbuckles her seat belt and hops out of her seat.

"Mommy, I'm going to get Joseph."  (Ciana)
"You can unbuckle him, but I'll get him out of his seat."  (Leslie)

Leslie hurries into the daycare facility and drops off both kids.  Luckily her office isn't too far away.  She's still going to be late.

Leslie arrives to work and heads to the ladies room, where she runs into a couple of co-workers.

"Good morning, ladies"  (Leslie)
"Good morning, Leslie."  (Charmaine)

"Good morning, Leslie.  Are you coming to the meeting this morning?"  (Carly)
"The 10am meeting?"  (Leslie)
"The boss moved it up.  We're meeting in the conference room in ten minutes."  (Carly)
"Ten minutes?  Thanks for telling me.  I'll be right there."  (Leslie)

Leslie has just enough time to use the bathroom and grab a cup of coffee.

Charmaine finishes up with a squirt of lotion.

The sink in the office bathroom was one my mother found at the thrift store for $.77.  It didn't come with any of the mirrors.  I painted the bottom brown.  The one pictured above is the one I purchased from ToysRUs.  No immediate plans to alter this one.

  1. You made perfect use from this sink! In it's original state it's appeared useless for me, but now it looks great. Hard to recognize it's the same thing!

    1. jewel snake - I wanted that sink the first moment I saw it. It's one of the few things I happily bought at retail. Getting the one from the thrift store allowed me to experiment. I will redo the other one as soon as I have the need.

  3. How cute Ciana is. A little like a sleuth. And I admire Leslie for being able to rush in such an elegant way. When I rush in the morning, I end up like a hot mess LOL.

    1. AG Lanc - I'm sure this morning will be familiar to quite a few people. Moms have tough jobs. Rushing to drop the kids off and get to work. Rushing to pick the kids up after work. It's a vicious cycle.

  5. I like the little mini van. Where did you get it? I've seen the 3-sink set at Walmart, but for $27.88, I didn't feel I'd use it for anything. Now I may reconsider. LOL :-)

    1. Cindi - That's the Happy Family volkswagon. I found this one at the thrift store a few years ago. They are quite expensive on ebay. I think I paid $26 at TRU when it first came out. It is overpriced, but I couldn't help it at the time. I had so many ideas in mind at the time.

  6. Love that sink! I think I really need to pay more attention to Barbie play-sets. Sometimes, it's hard to tell a diamond in the ruff under all that pink, LOL.

LOVE Leslie's outfit, she looks gorgeous in red. :)

    1. Tracy - I've been throwing paint on a little bit of everything lately. That new spray paint is a godsend. I even invested in the expensive green painter's tape. This sink is one of my new favorite items.

I just remembered I have another suit just like this one in brown, that has never been worn and I've had it well over a year now. I got to go find that now. This suit was made by Debbie of ChicDesigns (etsy).
