Dr. Cullen Was In My Dreams

I kid you not!  Last night I had a dream and Dr. Cullen and I were together in a room.  He had come to visit me and he stayed over.  He was a real man, not a doll.  How did I know it was Dr. Cullen?  He had this same outfit on, even while he was sleeping.  When I woke up this morning, I was trying to figure out why would I dream about this doll in human form.  So I took it to mean, I was supposed to blog about the new Twilight dolls I got to see in person at Walmart, yesterday.  I am not a Twilight person.  I've never seen the movies, but the thing that really caught my eye about these dolls, are the outfits.  When I first saw them on BC.com, I was drawn to both the men and considered buying both in the future.  Emmitt has a unique look about him.  I thought about buying Dr. Cullen to play my oncologist, Dr. Locicero, who has inquired about me representing him in my storyline.  Dr. Cullen would be perfect!  Did I ever tell you guys my regular doctor is named Ken?  Yes, I have a real Dr. Ken in my life.

Back to the reason for this post.  After seeing the dolls in person, I now want all four of them, but mainly for the outfits.

This is Dr. Cullen.

This double breasted, zip on the side, brown leather jacket is really nice, and looks much better in person.  And brown leggings!  I would wear those, so my dolls definitely need a pair.  These are great mix and match pieces.

This is Emmit.  I'm not sure if the vest and shirt are separate.  If anyone knows, please leave a comment.  I hope they are because, again, having three separate nice pieces for our men will go a long way.  I can see Darius wearing that shirt and vest.  Since they are push up sleeves, it should still work for the FR men, too.

I LOVE this outfit.  It is a really nice office outfit.  I can see Melanie, Adele, Nikki, and others, really enjoying this one.  This may be a one piece, I am not sure.  Would be great if it was a separate skirt, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.  Still a great outfit.

These dolls retail for $24.95.  Chances are they will be found on sale in the future, so I just wanted to open your eyes to the clothes as potential reasons to add these to your list.  As if we needed anything else on our list!

  1. The truth is that all the outfits in this new twilight series dolls are great, the problem is that none of them are sold here and in ebay are still too expensive... I love the Bella outfit especially, and the Emmet doll.

    1. Rossetti - Sorry to hear the Twilight dolls aren't available there. These outfits are wonderful and I can't wait to add them.

  2. Girl I was thinking Darius before I got to that part. YES! Tear it apart if they aren't separates. What are those things called that you pick threads apart with? I used to sew for a hot minute.

    1. Kenya - Say it with me, seamripper. LOL. If I had a bigger dolly budget, I would assign you as Darius' stylist, in doll form. Unfortunately, I already have a Kendra on board, and Kenya is so close, I'm afraid people would get confused. Not to mention, I can't afford you!

  3. I saw these dolls in person at walmart too and the clothes are nice. I'd like to own those outfits but like you said only if and when they go on sale.

    1. Mustiwait - I may use one of my Barbie Collector $20 off coupons to buy Dr. Cullen. My doc will be thrilled when I put him in the story.

  4. The dolls are pretty nice, but I'm trying to hold out because of lack of funds. Yeah, let's see how long I can hold out till I break ;). I'd like to have him visit me in my dream too!

    1. Verona - I feel you on the lack of funds. Hold on. I don't think these will sell out any time soon, if at all.

  5. I'm drawn to them also, but mostly the clothes. What's up with Dr. Cullen's eyes? Does he look like he's wearing eye shadow in person?

    1. Hi Vita! Sorry, I didn't really pay attention to his face when I was there. He didn't have any on in my dreams, but I'm sure that's not helping you.

  6. I saw these dolls at Walmart as well. I'm not crazy about them, and I never saw the movies either. But I really do like their outfits, and if they ever go on sale, I may pick them up.:-)

    1. Cindi - I like most of their faces, but of course the paleness of their skin makes them a little less desirable to add to the collection as is. Nothing is little paint wash can't fix.

  7. ok, and I thought I was the only one who bought dolls just for their clothes. Finding trendy clothes for 1:12 dolls is a real challenge. I only try making them if I have had some chocolate and a good night's rest. LOL So I say...BUY! BUY!BUY!

    1. Grandmommy - As Michael Jackson once said, "You are not alone"... We are clothes hogs for sure in the fashion doll world. At least I am. I've spent more money on doll clothes the past 3 years than I've spent on my own clothes. Shame, shame, shame.

    1. Loretta - My dolls have more clothes than I do! They are as spoiled as your Ms. Kitty. I hope she didn't hear that.

  10. From this particular line Emmett is the only one I'm most likely to get - when his doll is reduced, of course. Why, I'd pay $17.99 for a doll like that! I like his face, bigger body and clothing. If he was articulated he'd be the total package.

    1. Muff - I like Emmett's larger body, too. If they made a fair number of him, you may be able to find him even cheaper than $17.99. But I'm impressed you are willing to spend that much.

  11. I have seen these and thought no way, they are too high. That is a great idea to wait on a sale and get them for their clothes.
