The Burkes Go Baby Shopping (VIDEO)

This was supposed to be a photostory, but I took so many pictures, I had enough for a video.  This is Baby's World Boutique.  It is owned an managed by Antoinette's oldest sister, Sandra.

Lisa and Stephanie had a playdate with the toddlers, and ended up stopping by the boutique, who is having a sale.

The Coopers also stopped by to possibly get a few new things for the baby.

Awww, Baby Aiden is fast asleep.

Of course the Burke's stopped by.  They need just about everything.  They are looking at the new crib.  (It will be in the Etsy store by this weekend.  I need to redo the pictures.)

The rocking horses were a big hit with the toddlers.  A rocking horse is currently in the Etsy store.

Mr. Cooper, owner of the Day Spa, is keeping the twins occupied, while mom shops.  That toy section came in handy.

The Burkes found a few key items and are still shopping.

  2. The baby boutique is well stocked.

I have a few questions: Did you make the crochetted items? Why is the one crib so small? How did you make Mrs. Burke's baby bump?

    Loved the music.

    1. DBG - The small crib is made by Mattel. The other two were made by me and are more to scale. I did not make the crocheted items. I bought them on ebay. Kendra's baby bump was made with polymer clay. You can see it here on this post. http://vansdolltreasures.blogspot.com/2012/06/its-end-day-and-nikki-is-still-hard-at.html

I just added a little more clay to indicate she is a little bigger now. I didn't bake the clay so it just holds itself in place.

    2. Thanks for the answers.

I found the answer to the baby bump question here. The URL you provided was another Kendra story.

    3. DBG - Thanks. I think I put the wrong one in the video description, too. I posted this video about 3am, after many hours of working on it. I'm not surprised I got the wrong link. Going to fix it right now.

    1. Mustiwait - Awww, thanks! At least it's a good drug. That stroller came in a Barbie/Kelly set where the Barbie actually walks. I think it was called Walking Barbie. Just checked. There's one on Amazon for a horrible price. http://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Walking-Sister-krissy-Mattel/dp/B000P00EMO

    1. Tracy - Thanks! That video surprised me, too. I just took so many pictures, it just made sense to do a video.

Sandra is wearing a blouse I made for Leslie over a year ago, and the sock skirt I recently made that Melanie was wearing.

  16. I had wondered about the articulation on the Katniss doll. Is her body the slim pivotal type, or with the larger hips of the fashionista? Also, what skin tone is she (pale or tanned)? Thanks for the info, and congrats on your purchase.

Your crib and baby photos are completely adorable!

    1. Roville - Katniss is NOT pivotal. She has the larger hips. She has the older articulated knees, which helps her stand on her own. Looks like they pieced together a new articulated body for her. She is tanned.

      Thanks!
