Chocolate Cake, Anyone?

I know I am supposed to be posting the rest of the Family Fun Day, but this chocolate cake totally distracted me.  Can't you just taste the chocolate from there?  Yes, it's Barbie sized and now available in my Etsy store.

In real life, my hips can't handle this much chocolate icing.  But in dolly world, bring on the chocolate!

I wouldn't give you a partially eaten cake.  You also get the two cut out slices on ceramic plates.

Jacquelyn and Grace were my chocolate cake taste testers.

There is also lemon meringue pie slices in the Etsy store, too.

The taste testers sampled those earlier.  Lucky for them they can't gain any weight!  Oh I wonder what that would be like.

  1. OK, at first I thought this was a picture from one of the recipe blogs I follow. MMM...Chocolate! Then I saw it was you and I said "What???" Then I said well Vanessa can cook so maybe she is sharing one of her favorite recipes. Then I read it was for dolls. Darn and I was already for some chocolate cake! You can't do that to me! I love cake too much for that.

So, it is a great looking cake! Maybe my dolls might like it. I going to have to put some shoes on now and go out to the store. See what you did!

    1. Ms. Leo - I expected D7ana to have to make a store run, but I didn't expect that from you. I've been trying to stick my finger in the chocolate ever since I made it. Luckily, there is some real icing in the cupboard. I may have to indulge before the night is over. Enjoy your late night treat!

  9. That looks fantastic. I was scrolling through blog posts to catch up with the Family Fun day but got totally sidetracked by the chocolate cake. It looks super-tempting and calorie laden (and according to Marta, Barbie can gain weight).

    1. Carrickters - Thanks. The cake distracted me, too. As you can see, I didn't get the Family Fun story posted yet. I guess Barbie can gain weight when you body swap from a Model Muse body to a belly button body. LOL!

  23. Just recovered from mental sugar overload: had to "get" chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. No, wait ... needed devil's food cake with chocolate fudge frosting ... yes! Eyelids flutter at the thought.

Okay, you must have seen the photos on my Pinterest food board.

Duncan Hines, Betty Crocker, and Pillsbury should be after you to be their next food photographer.

Just want to warn you that some of my folks will be leaving on a midnight train to Georgia. They're going to seek out Morrisville. They want the chocolate cake. Some of them want the lemon meringue pie, too. (I'm for both, too ;-D) They'll be the figures with the glazed eyes and the hands outstretched to receive cake. Please send them back. They are counting on Southern hospitality. That means cake and pie and chilled full fat milk and or expresso depending on the time of day and the temperature.

Sigh. They want to relive the wedding fun.

    1. D7ana - We can both work for those companies. They should be after you to do all the food write ups. You describe food like no one I've ever seen before. I didn't see your food board. I'm trying to spend a little more time on Pinterest, so I will take a look.

I don't have to worry about your dolls. They are headed to Morrisville, and we live in Morristown. I think Morrisville is about 30 miles South of here. Hope someone points them in the right direction. I will treat them well if they ever arrive. LOL!

I will even send them back with a copy of the wedding video.
