Back to Family Fun Day

Did you enjoy the chocolate cake I made for you?  Well, we are finally finishing up Family Fun Day.  There are three areas of fun.  There is the beach area, the picnic/ride area, and the basketball area.  Caution:  This is a long story.

Here again we see the college girls hanging out at the beach.

Kurt and Sean are renting out jetskis and mopeds.

Their wives and kids are hanging out at the beach with them.

"You are such a ham, little girl."  (Sheila)

"What's she doing?"  (Samantha)
"Say, I'm just being a silly little girl."  (Sheila in her baby voice)

Tommy and Bethany have commenced to bury their legs in the sand.

"Now this is the life.  Wake me when it's time to go."  (Faith)

"What do you mean wake you when it's time to go?  Surely you are not going to waste this beautiful day sleeping."  (Jasmine)
"Well..."  (Faith)

"What did you have in mind?"  (Kaitlyn - the new girl)
"I don't know.  Just something fun.  Sitting here sleeping is not fun to me."  (Jasmine)

Meanwhile over on the basketball court, the guys are starting their 3-on-3 tournament.  They've already picked teams.

(Team 1: Ian, David, and Diego.)
"Ok, we are playing 21, win by 2.  It's the best two out of three."  (David)

(Team 2: Quentin, Brad, and Chris)
"So what's at stake?"  (Brad)
"The losing team buys the brewski."  (David)

Over in the picnic area...
"So you didn't tell me if your mom liked me or not."  (Bruce)
"I haven't talked to my mom since The Den.  Every time I call, I get her answering machine." (Shantavia)
"I hope she's okay." (Bruce)
"I'm sure she's fine.  She gets super busy sometimes."  (Shantavia)

"So where's Terrance, today."  (Halle)
"Where else?  Out of town on business.  Darius has him running all over closing deals."  (Racquel)

"I see you were able to get Diego out today.  Hmmm.  That's a good sign.  You guys were looking so cute together the other night.  So can I assume this is starting to get serious?"  (Racquel)
"If by serious you mean we are in a relationship, then yes.  If by serious you mean, we are going to be walking down some aisle in the future, then no.  I don't want to be tied down like that."  (Halle)
"We'll see."  (Racquel)

"That will be $3.25.  Do you need a bag?"  (Worker)
"No, I don't have far to go."  (Donte)

Tony is there with the kids.  Antoinette is at the TV studio taping a cooking special.
"Watch this, Daddy."  (Nikaya)
"I'm watching."  (Tony)

Ciana has not moved from the bumper cars since she arrived.

"Mommy, mommy, come here!"  (Ciana)

"What Ciana?  You come over here."  (Leslie)

Leslie mumbles to herself, "I am not going out in that hot sun."
"Never mind!"  (Ciana)
The thought of her leaving the bumper cars was not appealing in the least bit.

"So what have you been up to, cuz?  I haven't seen you in a minute."  (Leslie)
"You know I moved out of momma's house.  I got a cute little place downtown."  (Naisha)
"That's great.  I'll have to stop by to see you one day soon."  (Leslie)

"Do you want me to get Lola?" (Donte)
"No, we can just save her something.  I like when she plays with the other kids.  She is so shy most of the time."  (Penelope)

There's my daughter, Alicia, just having a good old time on the playground.

Several kids, Jolisa, Kimaya, Jada, and Lola are on the Merry-Go-Round.

Oh, look.  Danielle and the boys have finally arrived.
"Hello, guys."  (Danielle)

"Hi D.  We were wondering if you were coming."  (Vanessa)
"I had a busy morning to say the least."  (Danielle)

"Hey woman.  It's about time you graced us with your presence."  (Leslie)

"Hey girl.  I told you I was going to be late."  (Danielle)
"Well I wasn't expecting it to be this late."  (Leslie)

"Here take my seat.  I have to go get Kimaya."  (Naisha)
"Oh, thanks."  (Danielle)

Uh, oh.  Ciana has a new victim.  What out, Kenaz.

"Hey sweetie.  Did you have fun?"  (Shantavia)
"Yes, but I wanted to ride the elephant, but Jolisa took it and wouldn't let me ride it."  (Jada)
"So what animal did you ride?"  (Bruce)
"I had to ride the horse."  (Jada)
Poor Jada.

"Julian, how about you take Jacob to the playground. I will keep my eye on him and you can go play."  (Danielle)
"Come on, Jacob." (Julian)

Naisha has retrieved Kimaya from the Merry-Go-Round.

"Hey do you guys want to walk with us to the beach?"  (Naisha.)
"Not just yet.  I need to get Jada something to eat first."  (Shantavia)
"Okay, I'll be there taking in a little sun."  (Shantavia)

"So did Rod and his father get off on their fishing trip okay?  (Leslie)
"Yes.  He was up all night, nervous about going.  He really hasn't spent any time with his father since the wedding.  Tony and Freeman have been hanging out quite a bit, though."  (Danielle)
"Well, hopefully it's a good trip.  Hopefully they will iron out their differences so they can move on."  (Leslie)
"I sure hope so.  I hate to see Rod in such turmoil."  (Danielle)

Kara is hanging out with her sister-in-law, Payton.

"Mommy, can I go play basketball with Daddy."  (Jolisa)
"I'm sure he would be thrilled to have you interrupting his game."  (Kara, sarcastically)

"Did you have fun, Lola?  How about some fries and a little hot dog?"  (Penelope)

Julian has gotten Jacob situated and he is off and climbing.

Darn, I was gone so long, the basketball tournament is over!  From what I can tell, David's team won.
Chris seems a little peeved.
"You got us this time.  I want a rematch."  (Brad)

Jasmine was able to convince Faith and Kim to go mopeding.

Once Faith got going, there was no stopping her.  I guess she didn't need that sleep, after all.

Carmen and Kaitlyn settled in for a nice game of cards.

"Your turn." (Carmen)

Naisha and Kiimaya did make it down to the beach.  In the background, Sean is saying goodbye to his wife who has decided to take the little ones home early.

Kurt is saying goodbye to his family, who will also be leaving soon.

A few of the families headed to the water for jetskiing.  All in all, it was a great Family Fun Labor Day.

  7. Such a fun day had by all! I quite enjoyed this photostory. I did laugh when you "missed" the basketball game. $3.25 for all that food and candy is a great price! Usually you'd pay that much just for one lollipop.

    1. Muff - $3.25 was just for the sandwiches and fries. The lollipops were just displayed on the counter with the pretzels. Can you imagine the twins with those big lollipops?
