Crazy Target Sale!

This is a commercial break from the Rod and Danielle show. LOL!  I had read on numerous blogs about the Stardolls being on sale at Target through 4/7/12.  I figured I would stop by and get the two accessory packs that I didn't have.  When I got to Target, I was not prepared for what I saw.  EVERYTHING in the toy department was on sale.  The Basics Barbies and accessory packs, the Fashionista fashion packs, the Stardolls, the Moxie Girls, and the list goes on.  I had a hard time finding something that wasn't on sale in the entire toy department.  I am not sure if this was just a local thing or nationwide.  Sometimes Target will do local sales too.

If you recall, a couple of months ago, I mentioned the Our Generation, small scale horses that I thought would be perfect for Barbie.  Well they were on sale, too!  Originally $20, on sale for $16.90.

Here are the two new horses for Morristown.

They come with lots of grooming accessories.

Shantavia decided to show them off for you.  We'd better hurry because she really should be at the church by now setting up her photography equipment.

I guess I will need to find or make a couple of saddles.

Isn't he beautiful?

Let's not forget about the new little lady.  She's a beauty, too.

I did buy a few accessory packs; 2 of the Stardolls, and 1 of the Barbie Basics.  They were each about $12.99.  I did my normal pick up each Stardoll and try to fall in love.  Again it didn't work.  I left without any of the dolls.  I do have one coming in the mail.  It is the red head because I love her and the outfit. I had to use my $20 Barbie Collector coupon before it expired, so I got her for 99 cent.  The doll below was put in the basket and taken out several times.  I can do without the doll.  When she was initially announced I thought I would want her in my collection.  She really doesn't do much for me, but I've been wanting one of those red and white outfits for the longest.  So I bit the bullet, since they were on sale.

    1. Heather - I am always happy to enable other people to buy. LOL! I don't know why Our Generation produced this size horse. All of their dolls are 18". I'm happy they did. They are much better than the Mattel horses.

    1. Verona - I am so sorry. I try not to enable too often, because a lot of us are so addicted to buying doll stuff. We have a hard time saying no. But when a sale is that good I hate not to talk about it.

  3. Love the horses, great shopping!!! In Spain the red collection hasn't been sold, and it's difficult even to find a black collection basic.

    1. Rosetti - I have really grown to love horses. It's interesting to see which dolls are sold in which countries. We take it for granted here sometimes.

  5. Wow, those horses really do work well with 12 inch dolls! If I thought my Target had restocked all the good stuff since Saturday, I would probably have to be dragging myself back there again. But it sounds like you got a lot of good deals!

  6. Congratulations on your buys. Your buying them is almost as good as me buying them. I keep telling myself that anyway, lol.

Cool horses. I have a donkey and a pony somewhere. Not sure if I still have a horse. I had had Sindy's barn though. I look forward to seeing the accessory sets and the Red Basics Target doll if you keep her.

    1. D7ana - I tried that, "I will just enjoy it through someone else." Never works quite as planned. I just realized that the Red Basics mold is my new coveted mold for the dark Caucasian dolls. That is the one they used for the Spanish doll that I am in love with. So maybe after I take Red out of her box and fluff up her hair, I will like her more.

  7. The horses are beautiful.

Please don't have me make an unplanned trip to Target to see if our items are on sale. The Stardolls and accessories do not, repeat do not interest me, but I am curious if other items are on sale.

    1. dbg - There were so may red and white sale tags, I couldn't even see the product. I'm sure it was just the one Target here. LOL! You stuff is not on sale. Did that help?

  9. Hi Vanessa,

Lots of kids get toys in their Easter baskets these days so maybe Target has put the dolls on sale so grandmas can spoil their grand babies more. I'm trying to stick to my vow not to buy any dolls until Lent is over but maybe if I bought something during the sale and didn't open it until after Easter that wouldn't count as breaking my vow! :-)

    1. limbe dolls - Hang in there! You are almost there. Funny you should mention the kids. There were more kids in the toy department than usual. I thought, where did all these kids come from and why are they here? Can't they see I am dolls shopping. LOL! I had to laugh at myself. Then I remembered the kids were out of school.

  10. I went back this morning. I restrained myself to one accessory pack and one stardoll! Yay...for restraint!

    1. veda - I'm so proud of you. I want an outfit on one of the Stardolls, but I think I will 'restrain' myself. I think. I could just eat a lot less this month. That would give me a little more money. Hmmmm.

    1. D7ana - Thanks for the link to the horse info. That was a nice post. Believe it or not, they had the LIV stable at TJMaxx, but it was $20, and I didn't have it. I don't think I would have bought it anyway. I really have to get a move on with my horse stories.
