Meet The Daycare Staff and Shannon's Mom

Let's meet the staff at the new daycare.

This is the full time staff.  Cassandra (Aviator Barbie) in the middle manages the facility and helps take care of the toddlers.  On the left is Samantha.  She mainly works in the infant room.  On the right is Daphne.  She works with the toddlers.

Faith is a part time worker. She is studying Early Childhood Development in college and this is was the perfect job for her.

I had to show this picture.  Looks like they had a few kids arrive early this morning.

Shannon was reunited with her mom this morning.  If you read my post a couple Sundays ago, you know that I regretted leaving this Barbie Basic at a Big Lots 40 mins from where I live.  I felt she would make the perfect mom for Shannon.  Of course I thought with all the Barbies I have, surely I have this face mold in my stash.  Believe it or not, I didn't   So hard to believe considering the number of dolls I have.  Yesterday I found myself right near that same Big Lots.  I decided to run in to see if the doll was still there.  And there she was.  Shannon was happy and so was I.

    1. Frannie - I really had that sinking feeling in my stomach when I realized how perfect she would be and thought I would never see her again. That is the worst feeling.

    1. DBG - I hope they are ready. The moms were lined up outside. Toddlers and babies were everywhere.

Can you believe I had to run around town looking for another blonde Barbie? Just when I thought I had more than was humanly possible.

  5. Even though that Barbie Basic has an open mouth, I can't just not love her!

  6. She is one of my favorite BB. She is the Teresa mold, but with blonde hair. I have always been partial to Teresa. I considered a second one, but have decided against it. She does gave such a cute face. Looking forward to the daycare stories.

    1. Georgia Girl - Thanks so much for the information. It didn't dawn on me that this was the Teresa mold. That is one of my favorite molds.

  7. I thought you were not going to debox your Aviator Barbie. Or is it the second one? I like those Aviator and Paratrooper Barbies for their articulated bodies and unusual short hair. It's a pity they both have Asha mold for I really have too many dolls with this face. Btw does she have high heels or flat feet?

  9. Hello from Spain: I have the flyer as your Cassandra Barbie for at least 15 years. It has the same short hair but blonde. I did not know that version.
Shannon and I have your Barbie is my favorite. I think it has a very pretty face and gorgeous hair. Good thing you bought. Thanks for answering to the bookcase. It sounded very much. Keep in touch
