Halle Does June Cleaver

A good model can transform into any character.  Halle is doing her June Cleaver impression today as she models the new traditional sofa.  I am on a mission to get my Etsy store restocked.  I'm making great progress.

I just love those little shoes.

    1. Thanks. Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer questions about what doll is each doll. I just have too many. Not to mention the majority of them are very old and not still available for sale. I will answer the question about these two, but that will have to be the end. Sorry. This doll is still available at www.barbiecollector.com. She is the 007 James Bond, Halle Berry doll. The Alicia doll is just an old African American Kelly doll that came in set. I can't remember which set, but she is more than 12 yrs old.

  2. The traditional sofa is beautiful. I saw it while I was on Flickr grabbing a link to one of my photos. Good luck with restocking your store. I know you won't have any trouble selling your products.

    1. Verona - Thanks. I wasn't sure Halle could pull off the June Cleaver look, but she is working it. I forgot to put her pearls on to complete the look.

    1. JessicaJ - Thanks. I am surprised Halle is pulling that dress off so well. I was excited to find both of those shoes. Often when I find the perfect shoes, only one is in the right place.

  7. Love your sofa. And as a dressmaker, I'm really impressed with how Halle's dress goes so well with the sofa colour.

    1. Carrickters - Thanks! The furniture stylist tries to coordinate the outfit and furniture whenever possible. Are you a big person dressmaker, and/or a doll dressmaker? If doll, do you sell your pieces somewhere?

    2. Vanessa, I'm a big person dressmaker and patternmaker who is getting back into doll dressmaking. I have just opened a shop on Madeit http://madeit.com.au/wildblackberry and am wondering about opening an Etsy store as well. (Thank you for the opportunity to share my store in your comments.)

  9. So nice! The whole scene is amazing. My favorite show is the last picture. But then I wouldn't have seen the bottom of her dress and shoes. Yep she pulled off this whole June Cleaver scene. If I ever find another vase I will try that again. But for now I'm thinking it was a one hit wonder. ;-)

    1. Kenya - I never imagined I would get her pictured so quickly with those flowers. She is so good, she makes everything she wears look good. When I get a breather I may search for some vases and pay you to make me a few more. That could be a little while, though. If it turns out this is a 'one hit wonder', I completely understand.

  11. You have been very busy and I have missed many posts! Must play catchup! This sofa gives me a very southern, sunny feel. Almost like I'm about to welcome a gentleman caller into the parlor.

    1. Hey It's Muff - You are always on point with your thinking. I, too, felt it was a parlor type sofa. I am in store restocking, video producing, church building mode. If I didn't know better I would think I had a couple of assistants over here. I literally did 2 videos in about a week. Unheard of. I'm trying to take advantage of this energy before I crash.

    1. Marta - What a sweet thing to say. Thanks. I don't have a problem going down, but I have a problem going up. A nice balloon ride would be more difficult for me than skydiving. Strange, I know.

  16. Vanessa, I like the couch set up, very awesome!

And I totally agree w/your reply to Marta (above this post). I've gone skydiving and loved it, not so sure at all I'd go up in a balloon though!

    1. mail4rosey - Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. That's wonderful that you've gone skydiving. I'm still waiting for my opportunity to come back around. So funny, but today one of the court shows was about 2 friends who went skydiving. Just thinking about the balloon ride gives me chills. I have a fear of heights. Hope you will stop by again.
