Pillow Conundrum

Dasia is starting to shop for home decor items.  She's not ready to go full steam ahead with the decorating, but this is a way to get started.  She's brought home a few pillow sets to get an idea of her decorating direction.

"So honey, I'm hoping I can get your help."  (Dasia)

"This green set caught my attention first, and I immediately thought it would be perfect for the living room.  Any thoughts?"  (Dasia)
"Well it's hard for me to tell with all those patterns going on."  (Harold)
"Hold on.  I'll move everything out the way."  (Dasia)

"So now what do you think?"  (Dasia)
"Looks nice."  (Harold)

"I was thinking about this pattern for our bedroom.  They had comforters made from the same material."  (Dasia)
"Hard for me to say without seeing it all together."  (Harold)

"What are your plans for these green ones?"  (Harold)
"I don't think I'm going to keep them.  They just don't fit in.  I'll probably return those.  Can you hold up the black and white ones?"  (Dasia)

"So pretty.  I wish we had a music room."  (Dasia)
"We don't have a music room,"  (Harold)
"Yes, I know.  I think I will hold on to those for a while.  I'll find something to do with them.  Oh, I almost forgot.  I bought something for you while I was out."  (Dasia)
Dasia sets the pillows down, and stands up.

"See?"  (Dasia)
"See what?"  (Harold)

"The t-shirt I bought for you.  It says You're the ketchup to my fries.  I immediately thought of you when I saw it, and I just couldn't leave without it."  (Dasia)

"I'm confused.  If you bought it for me, shouldn't it be something I could use?"  (Harold)
"Don't you get it?  You're the ketchup to my fries.  It's all about you.  I can't be the ketchup to my own fries.  You're missing the point."  (Dasia)
"One of us is definitely missing the point.  Where would you like me to put these pillows."  (Harold)

Pillows and newest t-shirt will be listed in the Etsy store tomorrow, if I'm lucky.  Saturday if my day gets really busy.

  5. Ha Harold. These moments Harold has with his wife always get me.I'm either smilin' or laughin'.Maybe Harold needs a 'T' too? If he did they'd be wearing the 'couple outfit' with their matching tees. (Hey Van on your last post I talked about mine liking Melanie.I was in no way trying to ignore/dismiss/discredit/devalue your real life experiences with and feelings toward the real Melanie.I just wanted to say I don't mind Melanie here- in doll land.Because here she's fictional and isn't affecting someone's life for real. And she brings action.Action I wouldn't wish for in real life but don't mind so much in fiction. -Just thought I'd make this clear - don't want a misunderstanding) And while I'm on the subject of Melanie. Some time back Melanie was on a date with a guy.Did that not work out? Oh and what does Melanie do for a living? I know all this is off this photostory's topic but I'm curious. She seems like she'd do some type of work you need a degree for.

    1. Val - You and blogger were having a time! Lol. By no means did I get offended by your comments. Melanie is the closest thing I can get to having a villain in my stories. I suspect you aren't the only one happy to see her pop in and wreck havoc. As far as I know Melanie and Timothy (?) are still dating.

  6. Harold cracks me up. One liners, too much going on, if something is for him, he should be able to use it. They get along well.

  10. I love the T-shirt.

    The pillows are nice.

These two are a cute couple and interact just like "old people" as my daughter would probably describe them (that's the way she describes me and her dad).

  13. I like Harold's dry responses ... especially about the t-shirt, lol. And I do get his "point" - and Dasia's, too.

The pillows are all lovely. And they look cozy ... zzzzz ....

    1. Georgia Girl - Thanks. When I bought the cream, I intended to make a comforter for one of the doll families. Not sure if Dasia will get it or not. I really think her bedroom needs a little more color.

  18. Great pillows! Love Harold's reaction to the shirt! You should get him a shirt that says: "I am the Ketchup to her fries!" BTW, the first time I opened this post, I got a popup telling me to update Java - I bypassed it and them I got a message saying "your machine is infected with a virus." I bypassed that too and closed blogger. I then ran my own virus protection software and there was some adware that I deleted. Now everything is running fine!
