It's early on January 2nd, 2015 and shoppers are already out and about. Racquel is a little surprised she had shoppers waiting when she opened the door. She may have to call Lynn and get her to come in earlier than planned.
Racquel is hurrying to get the cash register ready for the day. She needs to be on the floor helping the customers.
"Please don't play with the display, Ivy." (Julianna)
"But they are so pretty." (Ivy)
Christina has found her way to the handbags.
"What are you doing over there? You are here to get clothes." (Cassandra)
"I'm just looking." (Christina)
"Welcome to Ni'Chalet's. Can I help you find something?" (Racquel)
"I'm need a party dress." (Julianne)
"Long, short....?" (Racquel)
Racquel gets all the particulars.
"I think I may have just what you are looking for right over here." (Racquel)
"Isn't this cute?" (Cassandra)
"That is cute." (Christina)
"Now can you stay focused. We came out early so we can avoid the mad house later. I'd like to be back home in the next couple of hours." (Cassandra)
"Mommy look." (Kimaya)
"I see. It's an awfully pretty bag." (Naisha)
"I just put it out yesterday. What do you think?" (Racquel)\
"It's pretty. I'm not sure about that color. It's a little loud." (Julianna)
"I think with your hair color, it would be a perfect match." (Racquel)
"Is that the only one you have?" (Julianna)
"Yes. It's a size 8." (Racquel)
"I'd like to try it on, if it's not too much trouble." (Julianna)
"Not at all. Give me a few minutes and I will bring it to you. You can take the first dressing room." (Racquel)
"How are you ladies doing in there?" (Racquel)
Julianna responds, but there is silence from Christina.
"Just fine. (pause) Ivy come inside and don't play with the curtains." (Julianna)
"Mommy am I getting new clothes?" (Kimaya)
"Maybe later when we get to a store for your size." (Naisha)
"They look nice. How do they feel?" (Cassandra)
"They feel good." (Christina)
"Turn around. Let me see them from behind." (Cassandra)
"Okay. Now go try on the other outfits." (Cassandra)
"Happy New Year, Naisha." (Racquel)
"Thanks. Happy New Year to you, too. I would give you a hug, but I'm fighting a cold, and I don't want to infect you." (Naisha)
Julianna comes out the dressing room. She tries to get Racquel's attention, but sees she's with another customer.
"Hi. Do you mind giving me your opinion on this dress, particularly the color." (Julianna)
"It's beautiful." (Cassandra)
"Not too obnoxious?" (Julianna)
"Not at all. You will stand out, but in a good way." (Cassandra)
I have a feeling it's going to be a very busy day at Ni'Chalet's. Let's hope that turns into some great sales.
Ni'Chalet clearly gets all the good stuff!

Cindi - Thanks. Those jeans are from the Gap Barbie that came out many years ago. Those jeans were in the Gap bag that came with the set.

DeleteI never have the nerve to ask a stranger how something looks but I've sure had people ask me. I hate it too because sometimes I've grimaced and my look told the truth before I could smooth it over.
