Had A Coupon! Got More Dolls.

I am a Barbie Collector member and we get $20 coupons once a quarter.  I had to use my 2nd quarter coupon by the end of June.  I contemplated letting it expire, especially since I was a little depressed about my dolly situation.  That just didn't seem right.  So after a couple of weeks of trying to decide on something, I got a couple of things.

First up is a new Barbie Look doll.  I really liked the dress, the red hair and the real lashes.  These dolls retail for $19.95.  I got mine for $10.85.

This is the picture on BC.com.  I'm hoping I can get my doll's hair to look more like this.

I added this DreamHouse doll for her body, her outfits and the cute owl purse.  I got her for $5.43.

These Barbie Look outfits were on clearance.  I got them for $3.79 each.

I did not get my Barbie Style Racquelle from Barbie Collector.com.  As a matter of fact, she was gifted to me by my dear blogging friend Cindi Mortensen.  We are more than blogging friends.  She lives here in GA, and is one of the three moms to my former black puppy.  As soon as I am back on my feet, we plan to get together for a doggy day out at the park.  It will be interesting to see if the puppies remember each other.

I can't tell you how much I love this doll and her outfit.  I am tempted to leave her in her box.  For those of you who know my dolls, who would you like to see wearing this outfit?

I got another beautiful dolly gift that brought tears to my eyes.  I will be sharing her with you just as soon as I can transport her to a good photo taking area.  She's a little on the heavy side.

  1. Ooh, I've been dying to get that red-headed doll! That one and the one in the magenta dress. Congrats! Raquel told me she wanted to go live in Morristown. She felt Moreville was too boring for her. LOL. Enjoy her my dear! :-)

    1. Cindi - I still have a hard time passing up the red heads. The dress color is so unique, too. As soon as I find her a new body, she will make her appearance. I think she's going to be married to my Mad Man Silkstone doll.

  2. OOOOooohhh! Congratulations on getting the Barbie Style Raquelle. The one with the leopard scarf and the way cool outfit. Very kind of Cindi Mortensen to get her for you ;-)

If I were her, I would keep that outfit for myself. But she might be more generous than I. Halle would look great in it. Or Melanie. One of your sharp dressers. (Love Danielle, but I don't quite see this as her style.)

Congratulations on your other deals, too.

  4. Congrats on your purchases and gift. I love that Raquelle doll too. I also got the red head Barbie Look doll and I have played with her hair and it looks closer to the promo photo. I rebodied her on a 2011 Elvis Barbie. Great skin tone match.

  5. Those outfits were a steal! I didn't rejoin the Barbie Fan Club this year so I haven't been keeping up with sales. I figured what I don't know will save me $'s.

Congrats on your other purchases. I am glad the Dream House doll doesn't look as goofy as the illustration, even though you plan to use the body for something else.

  6. Hello from Spain: I grew up watching on television series Bionic Woman. You're a woman with lots of courage. You are very brave. You are always positive and I admire you. I am happy to read that you're better. You have to be patient and comply with the recommendations of your doctor. You have to be at rest those months. I really like your new dolls. I have to Raquelle and she is very stylish. I want to buy Barbie Look but in my country are not for sale yet. Keep in touch

  15. Great purchases and presents. Now you have some dolls not in the basement to play with - maybe these dolls can give us interviews and tell us their (new) histories. As for the clothes, I agree with D7ana, one of your sharp dressers like Halle. Take it easy so your body can heal.,

    1. Carricters - I like your idea of using the new dolls to tell some stories. Only thing is they all need new bodies, and those are all over the place. Maybe they can be stiffies for a little bit.
